I guess this falls under "discussion."

Likely a very hot take, but I've never really been a fan of Grand Valley for racing, from a track layout perspective. It's a bit like Autopolis for me in the sense that there's 1.5 good passing spots, and the rest is painful to try and follow another car through.
It's nice as a time trial circuit though, and especially as a cruise circuit now with the new scenery for GT7.
I've never been much of a fan of modern Grand Valley Speedway either. It was always low down on my list of tracks I wanted them to bring back, though I get why it was chosen early. The really old, pre-GT4 layout was a bit better, but the GT4 modifications have always made the middle sector feel really clunky and unfun to me.

I do like what they did with the T3-T5 esses section at Highway 1 - the undulations and cliffside really make that feel like you're on the edge of grip going through there in a way I never really felt with the old track.

I‘m pretty sure both will come back. Since Grand Valley, Deep Forest, High Speed Ring and Trial Mountain got a big overhaul or let‘s say „facelift“ i think PD will do the same with Midfield and Apricot Hill. The only big question to me is when we‘ll see them. I really hope it’ll happen in the lifespan of GT7 but there‘s also a chance we‘ve to wait until GT8.
Thing is, both already got major face lifts in GT6

High Speed Ring at most got minor touchups compared to what it had in 4 and then 5 & 6 (The pit entry being moved from before the final corner to the Front Straight being one example) so going off its looks in GT7, Apricot Hill and Mid-Field Raceway would likely get similar minor touchups. I don't think either will get the major "Renovations" that Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and Grand Valley got considering none of those 3 were all that updated outside 3 & 4.

it doesn't really fit in with modern GT's design philosophy, and would not be a popular choice among the hardcore racers here, but I'd love to see Tahiti Road from GT2 come back one day. There was something cool about starting your career on a scenic back road instead of a fancy dedicated race track, and its visuals have etched themselves into my memory as a key element of GT2's character.

Just... make the grass parts not act like pavement this time.
