It's a small thing, but highly appreciated:

2. Users Cars
 - Added a new sorting criteria 'By Number of Cars Owned' to the Car Valuation Service;

Nothing exciting in the patch notes otherwise (besides what was already revealed yesterday)
Who here happens to still be selling Honda NSX Gr.B's obtained through perfectly legitimate means? :D

Why is this section still locked for me?

As is tradition now, I'm driving a utility vehicle around the Nurburgring.

That's a neat new car to drive around in gt7, fits the class of the electric cars. And it probably would be good to do a mini-custom one-make race in that type of car. Would be a great exercise and challenge for beginners of the racing game.

That, or if you had hopes that Fanatec FullForce might finally come with an update after over a year for the, you know, official GT7 steering wheel base...

You're excused... but why?
Well by the way it's worded, it could be implied that the Suzuka update is going to happen next month.

By your response, I assume that's not the intention? If so then you could maybe replace "next month" with "the future" or something else less specific.

You could infer that, I suppose, but shouldn't. I've been putting the equivalent of

9ot61h.jpg

at the end of every update article recently.

Still isn't here, so keep hold of that hope for next month.

Edit: I've added the Fullforce note and tweaked the sentence to fit it in. How about now?

The details of the model fixes for the E36 M3 I've found:
-The upper part of the headlights (what should I call them?)
-Oblique parting line through the taillights
-Some material color changes
-The gauge panel no longer lights up when the headlights are turned on (it lit up brightly before this update)
-The headlight dial is now set at off instead of on
-The A/C display panel etc. are now functional
-The armrest and handbrake lever are now proper LHD spec
-Now it has a passenger airbag
-The door mirror switch is now only on the driver's side instead of both sides

Don't be a fanboy only (if you want a better GT). New Championships or the abilty of custom championships isn't sample of ingratitude....I am happy for all those updates but there are more to done to become a very good GT game.. with my opinion...
It's not "fanboy" it's reality. Three years into a game, getting ANY new feature is a big addition. Immediately diminishing the addition by asking for more is ridiculous.

Maybe start a "things I want in GT8 thread"

I'm quite surprised by these changes. Now what are the chances they finally get 'round to fixing the Murcielago's in-race LOD? :sly:

I got a little lost behind Sophie's evolution. Regardless of what possibly sponsors GT is it really true that she adapts to the abilities of the human she is running against? How does this adaptation occur, if at all? Are they really more advanced and “realistic” races?

Have you had a chance to try custom racing with sophie? Truly you can do the custom race you want (on supported tracks) in terms of durability, machine climate (supported), etc. etc. with Sophie, or are there other constraints to be met?

Thanks

zjn

No.

All the training is done offline on arrays of consoles. We get the trained "agents" in the game. They have certain behaviours built in, but they do not learn or adapt any further.

Not sure @zjn's question was about AI continuing to learn while racing with us, or rather having a more human-like driving that adapts to player's action (and speed), instead of the "on rail" robots we can have on some events.

But for me all of this is a bit confusing, on some events "normal" AI is fun and challenging and behaves like a human driver would, and on some other it dumb af. If it was not for the emoticons, Sophy would not be that different that the good instances of AI we meet on some events.

Is this correct? I thought training is done on server clusters with gpus/fpgas/accelerators and not on "lousy" (compared to modern multi gpu servers like https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/system/gpu/10u/as -a126gs-tnbr) consoles.
Not necessarily meaning games consoles, but the original Sophy actually did - first on a PS4 array, then later on spare capacity of PlayStation's streaming servers. As I recall the most recent version uses server-grade GPUs for training.

Michelin is officially gone now then.

6. Brand Central
 - Updated the list of Official Partners. Accordingly, the tyres installed on cars are now original Gran Turismo tyres (excluding certain cars.)
does this mean all my cars that i had placed Michelin tyre decals on will be stripped of them?

I interrupt your scheduled update discussion to bring you... some sales numbers!

The French market gave its 2024 overview recently. In 2024, for consoles, GT7 was 16th by revenue and 20th by units among all games (physical+digital). It basically had identical numbers to Astro Bot, for comparison. Seems pretty good for year 3 IMO, especially in a market as Nintendo-dominated as France is.
