There could be a bit more, as the finalized car list is yet to be seen. It hasn't been uploaded to the GT website yet.So, is the current car list the final car list or is there more to be revealed?

So all the cars that is shown in the "400+ Cars" SoP presentation isn't the finalized one....There could be a bit more, as the finalized car list is yet to be seen. It hasn't been uploaded to the GT website yet.

No, it's 419. The three Genesis cars are the "+3".Hey @Famine, if we exclude the Genesis ones, there's 416 cars, correct?
The "400+" cars grid was exactly 400 cars - 20x20. It missed off a bunch of cars we've already seen.So all the cars that is shown in the "400+ Cars" SoP presentation isn't the finalized one....
PD showed an image before in which we could see there were exactly 428 cars. So I believe we're still missing a few cars. So, is the current car list the final car list or is there more to be revealed?
How can you see from a screenshot how many cars are in game?PD showed an image before in which we could see there were exactly 428 cars. So I believe we're still missing a few cars.
While it's true that a player garage may also contain things, like duplicates, which would increase the total count of cars, that was not a garage of just any player, but of Polyphony's development build, over which they have complete control. I find it highly unlikely the cars placed there, in that garage, were obtained through regular gameplay. Almost certainly, they've used their developer tools to quickly add all available cars in the game to the garage, so they can show any content they may want. This means the count displayed could, indeed, be representative of all the content in the game. Again, there could be duplicates in there, but keep those other facts is mind. How can you see from a screenshot how many cars are in game?
All we saw was that the garage of the player the screenshot was taken of contained that many cars.
It's unofficial media from a third-party, so it can't be treated as anything other than rumour and innuendo.Has anyone mentioned that the Z35 has been confirmed for GT7 as it was in a Japanese magazine in engine? Although it's not confirmed to be in at the start or a later DLC.
It's actually from the official newsletter of Nismo, so I'd say it's credible. It's unofficial media from a third-party, so it can't be treated as anything other than rumour and innuendo.
Oh, that's exactly what I kept in mind when I posted my comment. Fact is that we just don't know what they did on that account before capturing the images we saw. While it's true that a player garage may also contain things, like duplicates, which would increase the total count of cars, that was not a garage of just any player, but of Polyphony's development build, over which they have complete control. It may be credible given it was a nismo leaflet, but the rules of this thread are that it must appear in official GT media to be included. Like you and many others, this does conform to me it’s coming, but until an official GT source says so, it ain’t going on the list! It's actually from the official newsletter of Nismo, so I'd say it's credible.

Not from Polyphony themselves, and it's not from NISMO, it's from a third party loosely related to NISMO, as stated by others in the thread previously . . .It's actually from the official newsletter of Nismo, so I'd say it's credible.

An owners club, no matter how closely tied to the manufacturer, is not a first-party source of official information, nor is it linked in any way to Polyphony Digital.I can confirm that it's from Club NISMO's N-BLOOD newsletter, both officially run by NISMO.
Again, not saying it needs to be added to the GTP list, just clarifying the confusion about the source.
Exactly, that 428 car garage number was seen some 2 or 3 months ago, so between then and release date, there could be a few more added.Oh, that's exactly what I kept in mind when I posted my comment. Fact is that we just don't know what they did on that account before capturing the images we saw.
That doesn't mean there will be fewer cars either, as some might have been completed between the capturing (apparently some time in early December - was it the 3rd in the image?), and the game going gold.
So, for all we know, the final number might be a couple down or up.
I think its because otherwise DMC wouldn't be available in Brand Central at all like DeTomaso and Autobianchi. How do we know that the Delorean is the one from 2004 and not one of the original models from the 80's? And how come whenever I try to search up anything on the Delorean S2, only stuff from GT4/5/6 comes up? I can't find a reference to the S2 in the car's wikipedia article at all.
True, but that still doesn't mean it's specifically going to be the Delorean S2 from GT4. It could be one of the original models - and I still can't find anything on the S2 that isn't connected to its appearance in GT4/5/6.I think its because otherwise DMC wouldn't be available in Brand Central at all like DeTomaso and Autobianchi.
The original models are from the 80s. Its either an S2 or a newer delorean from when they started making more recently.True, but that still doesn't mean it's specifically going to be the Delorean S2 from GT4. It could be one of the original models.
What is it about the originals being from the 80s that would prevent an aforementioned original model from taking the S2's place? The original models are from the 80s. Its either an S2 or a newer delorean from when they started making more recently.
Because so far there's only one delorean, and Brand Central only features cars from 2001 onwards. What is it about the originals being from the 80s that would prevent an aforementioned original model from taking the S2's place?
EDIT: D'oh, I'm dumb. It's because it'd likely be in the UCD instead. Ah, I see.
We don't, but in the absence of other information it's best to assume that it's the car brought back from previous games. Do you have other information? If not, it begs the question why you're posting about it in this thread. How do we know that the Delorean is the one from 2004 and not one of the original models from the 80's?
No idea, but it even more doesn't belong in this thread. And how come whenever I try to search up anything on the Delorean S2, only stuff from GT4/5/6 comes up? I can't find a reference to the S2 in the car's wikipedia article at all.
The branding in GT is a bit weird. S2 is short for Stage-2 which you can find far more info on. The basic gist is that it's a modern tuning package for the original 80s DeLoreans that gave them more acceptable performance and handling. The reason why Stage-2 was picked for the game is likely a combination of it being just the best version of the car to drive and also that it was sold by the reformed DeLorean that Polyphony obtained the license from thus they had an incentive to give that pack some publicity by making sure it was the version in the game.True, but that still doesn't mean it's specifically going to be the Delorean S2 from GT4. Pretty sure the Mercedes-AMG C63S looks nothing like a DeLorean either, which is what the user I was responding to was talking about and which appeared in the quote I was responding to directly above my response to it. 🤨Huh? It's a new-ish car. The last C63 was from 2008 and they look nothing alike.
