Might want to nix SPA from the list...
Take this for what you want. :odd:

and I'm confused. Why did you post this on a Gran Turismo 7 track list thread when the post in question is about Project Cars 3?

What other “upcoming racing game” is coming out? It’s just speculation, a semi-head of a studio is implying that Spa is difficult to work with and won’t be licensing their track to other games.

oh :dunce:
I figured that Nathan Bell was referring to their own games.

Aside from the fact he doesn't know what he's talking about. While it is true there have been licensing cost issues with Spa, and PD were very reluctant to spend it at risk of other tracks raising the cost. My theory is it's a multi game deal PD have done to justify the extra cost. Hence its been seen early in GT7 and came to GTS relatively late in its dev cycle.

There was an article on this site that said the licensing fee for Spa was 2 or 3 times higher than many other tracks. I would not be surprised if we didn't see it at launch again.

It hasn't though has it? Menus can easily just be placeholder. You don't have to pay money to write names of tracks on a menu.

Would be a very unusual and specific track to use as placeholder when they could just as easily have used the track they were showcasing.

When you mock up a UI you use a variety of assets to see how they would look. No good designing a UI and then you find you can't fit certain words in the boxes you've made.

I certainly hope Spa is in the game but I personally wouldn't say for sure it is until we see the actual thing.

I don't know, man. I've heard shaky things about Bell. Like how he wanted to make his own console? Or was I getting Nathan confused with Ian?

That was Ian who was quite optimistic about having a console called the "Madbox".

From what I've last read though, it might've been abit too mad for investors.

Seems like Fuji International Speedway (aka. F & 2005) is confirmed:

It's from the official PS5 UI Experience Video:

There is another picture on the bottom right, but I was unable to see it in detail.

That Norther California track north of Laguna Seca may be Sears Point. It was in GT4 I bellies as Infineon Raceway with both the road course and NASCAR variants. I don’t think it is El Capitan as that would be further inland.

Near Salt Lake City is Miller Motorsport Park but I don’t see that being a GT track. The Bonneville Salt Flats are close too.

There's a lot of things that the dots could be, but at the moment there's no reason to suppose they represent anything other than the GT Sport tracks, and Daytona and Trial Mountain.

The maps of North/South America and Europe have the exact number of dots required to account for every track already in GT Sport and the known additions of Daytona and Trial Mountain.
