No, they changed the settings specifically to the T300RS. It is in the patch notes:They didn't make the change for specific wheels, they fixed a specific characteristic of the vibration oscillation calculation. Everything else feels the same (if not a fraction lighter) so up the in game torque 1 or 2
The rest is all exactly the same, in that you can if you want dial in the feel with the in game FFB sensitivity just without really gruff feedback patches.
Curbs are harder again, slip is slightly muted.
I'm not sure any of the updated FFB stuff affected belt or gear driven wheels I'm pretty sure it was done for DD wheels as it was a very specific issue.
2. Controllers
- Fixed an issue wherein the force feedback vibration effect would be different on each side for steering controllers such as the THRUSTMASTER® T300RS;
- Lowered the output of the THRUSTMASTER® T300RS by 10% to reduce motor strain;
- Lowered the vibration effect of the THRUSTMASTER® T300RS and Fanatec® GT DD Pro/Extreme.
I have my FFB settings at MAX value (10) and the wheel is numb relative to what it was just 2 days ago when I only needed it set to 7. The things they say the "fixed" with the T300RS were not issues that needed to be fixed. The FFB was not different on each side of the wheel (whatever that means) and the motor strain issue was easily fixed by having the user dial down their FFB settings in the game's settings. If you were to poll all the T300RS users on this site and asked them if they can't turn down the FFB settings any lower to reduce motor strain, no one would say they have that issue. I was running mine at a 7 for street cars and dialed it back to 5 or 6 for high downforce cars. Still plenty of room to turn it down and reduce motor strain if necessary. Now I'm running it at a 10 for street cars and there is barely any weight to the steering. High downforce cars I can run at 10 and they feel okay but they changed the vibration feel on it as well, because I guess they needed to change that too??? So, the wheel is weaker with its FFB and the vibrations/feel has been reduced because let's add insult to injury.
