Gran Turismo 7 Team Picks Up Forza's Audio Lead to Improve Sound

....There's something that's been bothering me here.
I read somewhere that this Caviezel fella already runs his own studio/company, so how does that make him a PDI employee?

Is he an outside contractor? Did PDI/Sony buy his firm? What happened? Is he getting two paycheques each month? Or did Kaz hire his firm's services?

....Is he actually moving to Japan? Does he know how to use chopsticks?? Or to drive on the wrong side of the road???:confused::confused:

....

Find out in the next episode of Dragon, Ball, Z!

JohnnyP, need I remind you what you said to a certain response...

So, by all the indications of your quoted text, you haven't been impressed with anything from Gran Turismo games to date. Or you would have, you know, heard something.

I should appreciate you quoting me though. Every time you do, I get more Likes. ;)
Same Strawman argument I'm afraid. Someone saying they'll believe that one new guy is going to revolutionize GT sound when he hears it =/= not impressed with any GT games to date. The two things aren't even remotely related. It's like me saying, "GT isn't a good simulator",and you coming back with, "so you think all Gran Turismo games suck right?" See what I did there?

I've spent a lot of time with Mike and I have faith in his vision and passion, enough so that I believe he can do great things with the GT series. However what I don't have any experience with is PD. So I don't know how much freedom (both creative freedom and budget, both in terms of money and in terms of game resources like RAM/CPU) PD will give Mike to do what he wants to, nor how much time until their next product releases. Therefore I can't objectively say that GT7 will be the be-all-end-all in updated sounds, like I said on the first page of this thread. I can objectively say that with enough time and freedom Mike will lead the team to great things.

Johnny, you sound like Hillary Clinton because yes, I see what you do constantly. :P

Anyhow, I'm with Chippy. He's going to be working with a sound team, and he's going to have a set of specifications to work within. Whoever has the best solutions with the Japanese and American audio teams will be sharing their techniques with the others. The engine sounds aren't something I'm going to be on the edge of my seat over, because I enjoy racing games for the racing, the features, and things you can do with the cars in the games to make them seem more like possessions than loaners from another team. To me, those are much more important fish to fry, but we'll see how things shake down when we get close to GT7's release.

I'm also not worried because I have actually heard good car sounds in GT6. It didn't make the race more fun but it was pretty okay. ;)
