Ok buddy nice excuse on that one

it's only you poorly using the game, only point I'm proving is you blind.

Wait.. which leaked lists are showing German wagons and fox bodies? the answer is none... so again you are wrong
Where's the common sense when you say why include the FL5 when previous version was soo similar yet you want a NB mx5 which is pretty similar to an NA mx5 in spec and handling(I've both these cars in real life to confirm), double standards no?

Pleasure, just pointing out how wrong you are further cementing the point of how wrong you are,
Throwing a tantrum and you can't even get facts right... throwing a tantrum because your favourite cars have not been included, there is plenty of variety in the road cars, get over yourself
Great blabbering, I've ignored it.

So here's my question, can you supply a valid reason why we've received more VGTs than many of these basic groups of car culture? As I've Said, many of the cars I've talked about do in fact appear on leak lists. Also, while accurate, not every car we've received has come from those lists.

Licensing is pure speculation. But what isn't speculation is how deep Sony's pockets are. What also isn't speculation is that many of the cars I'm reffering to do not have exclusive licenses, they very often appear in multiple games at the same time.

The very clear answer is simple - updates with marketing programs cough VGTs, popular current/trendy cars and nostalgia bait cars like the escudo, lfa, celica rally car etc, give PD more engagement than actually dipping into the deeper sides of car culture.

Also, telling me I use the game poorly is laughable. I've completed everything and I'm A/S. I've tried making classes for SP custom race out of just about everything. Not being able to recall a lacking car list's small group of cars from memory when I haven't played in months (cue the "then why are you here" response) is pretty normal lol. You only proved me more correct that by showing that not only is it lacking, its lacking anything remotely relatable to the vast majority of players

Because you can't refute it congrats... we'll just ignore the mx5 double standard then...

we haven't... last 6 months have produced 2 VGT's and 14 real life cars, most of them being highly requested by people, seriously though... can you count past 1?

Which I've asked you where's the fox body or a german wagon on it? yet you can't show me this

Licensing isn't speculation, you either have it or you don't, PD clearly don't have it if the car isn't there

There's nothing to refute - it's all just blabber.

I'm not reffering to the last 6 months, I'm reffering to overall. I haven't been reffering to rhe last 6 months in some time - using the last 6 months is a tactic because they've been abnormal for GT updates and you know that lol.

Same tactic as you pointing out the foxbody or german wagon because I'm pretty sure those are the only categories I've mentioned that don't have SOMETHING on the leak lists.

Licensing has been the go-to excuse for every single one of you fanboys since this game came out, and it makes no sense whatsoever in the context of what's going on. Reality is that its not about licensing, it's about what PD/Sony want, and PD/Sony want easy clicks. Kind of like how Koenigsegg is super popular right now - and just so happened to show up in the 2 hour long GT7 commercial coughhackwheeze I mean GT Movie

Your messages are starting to conflict. "We've had good car variety" and "NA and NB same, we don't need an NB" conflict quite a bit. Variety would mean adding both even if they are similar.

a tactic... ok well your tactic seems to be ignoring facts and an inability to count.

Where are the following:

  • Any number of 80s Japanese cars. FB RX7s, Hondas, R31s etc etc
  • any number of german sedans/wagons from the last 30 years
  • literally any American car from 1980 to 2010? We have ONE in game when there are dozens of phenomenal platforms in those years like the G body, later F body, Foxbody, MN, SN95, S197, C5, etc can keep listing
  • why do we keep getting offroaders and not street trucks? GT's offroading is terrible and limited, why are we getting Jimnys and the like when there's plenty of options for street trucks/SUVs?
  • instead of fictional mazda Gt4 cars, why not give us an irl one make car, or something similar?
  • where are so many of the Japanese classics? Cosmos, Rx3, etc
  • where are the hot hatches, especially from the 80s and 90s? Barely any are in game.
  • where the hell are the NB and NC miatas. That's a very obvious hole there.
  • where is cadillac as a brand?
  • Where are the hyundai N cars?
  • Where are the Z06s?
  • where are the ACRs?
  • where are the 90s/2000s Hondas besides the type Rs?
None of these are on the leaked list

Nope, its a real world thing companies need to face, the fact that you say this just means you haven't got a clue on how businesses work

you're the only conflicting person here mate, I'm just highlighting your double standards

"None of these are on the leaked list"

I'm very aware we're not supposed to post leak material here. You are exceptionally wrong. Something that fits over half of that list has been leaked, iirc.

The licensing issues again, boils down to this: it's not out of PD's reach. Nothing is, with sony's power. It's either a conscious decision not to use it, or they don't care to license it. Meaning either they're updating the game a certain way for marketing reasons....which is generally what I said. Or that this isn't actually about car culture, just what Kaz/PD want.

I have no double standards here. I'd much rather see another generation of miata, than another generation of Evo or something else we have many generations of. This is coming from someone who's favorite Japanese car is the EVO IX lol. We have 2 generations of Miata, and iirc 6? Generations of Evo. We have God knows how many generations of 911, but only 2 generations of mustang. Every modern GR Toyota car under the sun, but not a single 80s/90s Honda CRX, Prelude, civic coupe, EG (besides the tunershop one) Del sol, etc...

It's the gaps that get me. Fill in the damned gaps

The thing is most of the cars added to gt7 has been brand new ones for the series, yes pd could at times make different choises in some cases, there is still plenty of cars i want thats not yet in the game, but we have got a couble of good cars the last 2 years spec ll update bring very good selection of cars, challanger demon was one of my favorites, and wanted it since the game launched,

The only cars of "variety" here are the Challenger, Charger, 190E, and R4.

Everything else either already had a million counterparts in game, or isn't a road car. VGTs and fictional GR4 car aside, the new FL5 isn't much different from the other newer Type Rs. Another skyline. Another 911. Another offroader with basically no place in game. LFA and Evo 9 were odd exclusions to begin with, same with the C8. TT literally a standard sports car. Even the challenger is kind of nonsense since they gave us the Demon, which is the drag special, and makes no sense in a track game.

Alternatively

I can just keep listing stuff. It seems like PD is pulling the most recognizable, popular cars from its pile of assets and not at all trying to dig into car culture. Teslas, LFAs, 911s, it's all so basic

All of this goes without saying that the last 6 months are a bit of an oddity for this game's updates in terms of variety.
I have to be honest, for all my gripes with GT7, the car list isn't one of them. The lack of decent events specialising in the wide variety of cars in the game is a gripe of mine, the car list itself, not so much.

You're opinion of which cars = variety is exactly that, just your opinion. You're allowed to think that, but at the same time, your opinion doesn't define what it means for other people.

You're being purposefully selective with what you consider to be the defiition of subjective terms which you are introducing to the discussion. Not a hill worth dying on in my opinion. By all means debate "why" you think the car list lacks varietty, but try to make a sound point based on your opinion and present it as a subjective point of view, not fact.

People will most definitely dissagree with you, others might agree, but it would be a far more productive discussion than the on you've just had revolving around this.
