And wait, the timer doesn't increase like it did in GT Sport? If you set a timed race and the maximum end timer I saw it be as much as 10 minutes on the Nordschleife back then. Is it now fixed to 3min?

Yeah, at least in my experience it's just a maximum of 3min. Very unfortunate how such a simple thing is gotten so wrong. In the league I organize we've had occasions where a tight battle between two cars was cut short because the crossed the finish line on each side of the timer, so the leading car got one more lap while the other had his race ended.

That's a thing in some real life races tho, the N24 for example is waved off after 24:00:00.000

Oh ok, didn't know that actually.

Would be nice at least to be able to set the finishing criteria. It's more unusual though, feel like usually it's P1 who sees the white, and then chequered flag, first of all.

Yeah it'd be nice if you could choose between x hours + 1 lap, x hours and race ends when the leader crosses the line and x hours and the first to cross the line has finished.

In any case, the race timer not automatically adjusting itself to the lap time is quite a problem for an endurance series I'm racing in where the N24 has 3h stints and obviously will see someone start a new lap with for example 2min left on the timer. Oh Kaz!

The letter "T" to designate turbo aspiration in the car choose/now driving indicator is now "Turbo". (Tested on US/Asian English, unsure if British English is also affected).
 
Dam, I always have eyes for the graphics changes, but i'm struggling to see the new lods. Can someone point me a noticeable difference on some track?

The game looks brighter too, outside the car looking from inside has some kind of sun effect on tarmac now
Best exemple is the running shadow in suzuka on the safety barrier or the running shadow in spa Eau Rouge. It looks now it hase twice the distance. Also the grassline is now twice the distance. Cars in front dont loose decals anymore. Small stuff but noticeable.

good eye. i wasn't looking at the shadows, thought it was other things.

edit: just immediately checked. This is true, from RacinLei. The grass is procedurally generated much further from the camera, looks really nice now.


to add to this: all the LOD transitions still present on stuff like stands, objects around the track - look much faster now, like half the speed they used to switch before the patch. As other people said on the graphics: more optimized: further shadow cascade, further grass rendering, faster lod switchs, brighter image.

Low speed handling feels slower and more stable. Even with moderate assists I'd get slippery physics at low speeds, now it feels more gradual and more consistent.
 
they changed a lot of idle panning camera screens when you're on the pre-race menu for a lot of tracks. Their order is different and sometimes the angle.

The water in all tracks now moves, previously there were some that the water was stationary. When I saw the Grand Valley sea water moved I thought about the other tracks, they have changed it on them too.
 
I'm Glad they've fixed the 1.5 sec freeze for Fanatec Wheel users. Was a real killer for me when it was happening.
Can actually go back to enjoying the game without the thought it could mess my race up at any moment.

I just did the LeMan’s 30 min WTC700 race and noticed that the color of the weather was duller than yesterday….
Anyone else notice that?
 
(fanatec 1.5 sec freeze) I did some mods and it went away for a while but came back this last week. Only once or twice. But will see this week if it's still there for me.

Was there always an option for gr.2 to change the rearwing? Just notice it right now, damn these are big bar counter 🤣

A issue with circuit experience on Barcelona sector 3 and full lap as been solved. Before the result was not validated
