No new features in that announcement. Not happy with that. B-Spec would have been nice as would a track creator.

New tracks? I'd much prefer real race tracks after what they did to two classic fantasy tracks. They are not bad but they are lacking something the originals had. As for cars, hopefully there will be enough scope for slow road cars to fast race cars

I'm expecting DLC's with new cars to Côme pretty fast, as I'm quite disapointed with the list of cars as it is at the start. It is more or less the cars in GT Sport, with very little recent cars. Where are the latest Audi's, BMW's or Mercedes-Benz ? Where's the Alfa Roméo Giulia or the Porsche 992 ? I'm not reading any complains about that and it's really the great flaw of this GT imao.

I said this in another thread, but I hope once they start adding more race cars they begin to subdivide categories, some cars are simply too iconic to just 'shove in' to other categories imo:

The Tom's Castrol Supra should be in its own class with a few other JGTC cars of the 90s (Gr.JGTC) .

The Alfa 155 GT should be in its own class with DTM cars of the 90s (Gr.DTM).

The 1990s LeMans (CLK LM and BMW/McLaren F1 GTR; they could easily add the 911 GT1-98, I think three would work well) (Gr.LM)

I think people would generally really like this as it allows them to recreate actual race series of yesteryear.
We can do this with Custom Race. Kind of sucks with having to buy each car, but if PD include all the right cars, recreating those iconic grids would be fantastic. Custom Race, is the best feature in this game, for me.

The Audi and bmw lineup is barely updated for gt7, but we got plenty of new Mercedes vehicles, i do agree we need more, but there is still 86 new cars in gt7, but we need more, i would not expect any updates with new cars until maybe late march, there was an update just now but proably just bugfixes, we still have some cars to start out with in the maintime, i want the Porsche carrera gt so bad,

There are 54 totally new cars in GT7. The others are from older GT games, but weren't in Sport.

One thing I would really like to see are aftermarket body parts and kits. Having brands such as Liberty Walk, RWB, Veilside, Rocket Bunny, Top Secret, Spoon, Mugen and Greddy appear in the game would be great.
I was thinking something along these lines yesterday, in terms of the rare roulette parts. Instead of them being labelled in the same generic group as normal parts, such as the Ultra High RPM Turbo for example, what about if we can win actual branded parts such as a Garrett G35-770 turbo, some Öhlins suspension, or an HKS exhaust?

This would add to the perceived value of the parts, make it feel even more special to win them over the generic parts you purchase in Understeer, and PD aren’t shy of licensing brands as they’re already doing with Brembo etc.

It’d be really cool to see something relatable turn up in the roulettes, instead of simply a ‘carbon propshaft’ or ‘racing crankshaft’. For us real-life tuners it would be an extra level of immersion, and for the less knowledgeable a great way to learn about the companies behind tuning and performance.

And the only difficulty in terms of development would be securing licensing. Make it happen, PD!

Do you think we could see more GT Cafe menus alongside new cars and tracks ? There's so much potential to add more, and it would be way better than just adding cars without anything you can do with them.

Or maybe extending some existing GT Cafe menus to 4-5 cars ?

This is really the thing I am mostly looking forward to.

I hope the update cafe books, i also think that the game needs more career races even more than new cars and tracks

Yes. I read somewhere on here that there were originally 50 menu books, and they were reduced before launch. Which means they’ve got things already lined up to expand the game.

I think we might see GT7 grow post-launch more than any other GT title. The earlier games really had a sense of completeness, with comprehensive car lists and races. This one is clearly a bit short on content at launch, which in my mind bodes well for future updates. I think it’s a deliberate decision not to throw everything in at once.

In my opinion it would be great to add "part 2" of the career mode in one of the future updates. This time they could focus on professional racing (Gr.3, Gr.4), hypercars, Vision Gran Turismo cars, classics/unique cars and so on. Plus stuff like endurance races or maybe even FIA inspired championships. There's a lot of potential, because at the moment you haven't experienced A LOT after you've finished all 39 menus.

C8 Corvette. The others I can maybe understand but what 2022 game launches without the C8 Corvette?:boggled:

These have been remade and are different, but they're technically in the game, as they were in GT Sport.
If you are referring to the Kyoto tracks than yes on beginners course but no on motor land. But I see what you mean

Give us the LFA.

I remember in gt6 the r390 road car was that premium but standard type of car. Would love if they brought that back

i just want my used car list to actually update and or be able to buy cars from all years otherwise.. I started writing down when it actually updates and its never been more than 3 cars at a time and usually over 36 hours apart lmao which if you ask me is ridiculous there hiding 100 years of cars behind some broken ass dealership method .. maybe a few more career races would be nice too..

The game needs more events more than anything. No point in adding tracks when the current tracks only have a handful of events each (at most). No point in adding cars when you're hardly (if at all) able to use them in events.
I suspect we’ll get both a new track and a selection of new events with each update. IIRC PD typically added a good 5 or 6 events in GTS each update initially!

Seems motorland has also been entirely replaced with Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa. I don't have an issue with that. I like Yamagiwa a lot better as a racetrack

motorland would of been great for kart racing. but also it was a nice substitute for if Tsukuba got too repetitive. I feel like it be nice to have more of the small but complex tracks like tsukuba, The challenge behind it for online races was always fun

There's actually quite a few variations of other fictional tracks now that are good for karting, plus you have RBR short and Autopolis short but I get what you mean. Having old layouts return in identical form is it's own thing

No I get that, both layouts are great. but they lack the complexity that Tsukuba is known for. The fact that you can have cars that have 100 more HP than you but cant seem to get away type. if that makes any sense at all

That does make sense. Tsukuba is a circuit that has some very challenging turns, the 3 hairpins, which balance out the back straight's speed. I'll guess Willow springs Horse thief mile could give a similar outcome when racing different classes of cars but it also has like double the hairpins..

How about FOV slider! And proper camera adjust in cockpit, its now about 10cm and it should be like 60cm in one direction. Dashcam would be nice too, and removable wheel.

Please bring back Monaco, Silverstone, Roma, R246, Apricot Hill and Grand Valley 🙏
We might see some of these make a return. If I can guess correctly, Polyphony is remastering classic tracks to fit more areas of passing/ fighting from the experienced gain from the FIA. I noticed that Trial mountain and Deep forest changes make racing a lot more exciting. As of Silverston and Monaco. I'm not sure if the licensing from F1 is causing issues. A couple of years back I know people were talking about how the licensing for Silverstone got expensive. As is the issue with lotus, That's why we didn't see it in GT Sport. I do hope we start getting a lot more city tracks. I really enjoy Tokyo expressway but wider highways or city streets would not be a bad idea.
