Had three races at Nordschleife Gr.4, think it's been like over half a decade since I last had a online race on that track and first time ever using a gamepad so took it easy in all three races, ended up with very similar race times. Gone up to C52 rating. :)

Taking it easy... grr... still more than a second per sector faster than I managed it! (in the 2nd race). I was happy though to move up from 5th to 3rd, and not let myself get flustered by onsineer in a Genesis breathing down my neck for 2/3 of the lap - probably muttering rude things about 4WD launches

Hi,

Curb=legal trac. You are always with at least two tires on legal trac, so no reason for penalties imo.

D.
Might be "legal" but being able to take that much curb at 200 km/h, and get 2 wheels into the dirt, and not have it affect the car in the slightest, makes a mockery of the physics engine.

seems to depend on the car. I was surprised when I saw the video. Try it with the Gr.4 SLS and you will land immediately in the wall.

Thought there was no point in risking safety rating so drove at a safe limit and person behind didn't have a GT-R (Same driver also in 3rd race) so more comfortable for me than first race. I had a GT-R closing up on me in first race so won that by just over two seconds, felt less lonely out there when I saw person really pushing the car in my mirrors. I reckon they could get into top 10 driving like that.

Video of race two:

Thanks for the video... first thing I noticed is that the GT-R in 3rd quit just before the start, so I only managed 4th to 3rd!

Then of course you're very tidy and precise, which helps everywhere but really makes a difference through the fast corners - at Flugplatz you carry 5 to 10 mph more than I did through those rights, same with the left at the end of that straight (although that matters less with Aremburg coming up quickly).

At Bergwerk I take a later apex, so I lose a little time on the way in but probably not much if any on the long climb. Finally my poorer exit from Dottinger-Hohe to the final straight probably costs me another 1 or 2 seconds.

All told, there's a few seconds which I might find easier to gain, but most of them are just a little bit on every corner which will be much harder!

I'm also trying to protect SR and stay on the track, but my quali time was also 13 seconds slower than yours, same gap in that race... it gives me a good reference :)

Try to do it and you will face with hundred of thousands of possibilities... for one corner. It is impossible to develop such thing in 1, 2, 10 or 100 years.

And not just number the possibilities is an utopia, is even more difficult to work the code.

If you dont believe me, begin here to number every single case of crash in one of the corners of a track. I bet you die before you can point every single case.
I didn't say it would be easy but technology is rising fast, assetto did a good job in that field in my opinion

As the codes get sent out to the EU region, post here to let us know when/if you received it. Post whether you were notified by email or PS4 notification and what country your from *HYPE*
helloo there im new to this forum, i have applied for the beta like 10 times and still havent received a code! could you tell me if its still possible to get one as the sign up pages tha are available are still active!! SOMEONE HELP!! i wanna race

Hello there, I'm new to this forum. I have applied for the beta like 10 times and still haven't received a code! Could you tell me if it's still possible to get one as the sign up pages that are available are still active!! SOMEONE HELP!! I wanna race.
Nobody here can really answer that question. It rather depends on whether codes are being sent out any more. Checking your spam folder may help.

As you have recently joined the forum, you'll have recently agreed to this - and I'd suggest you remind yourself of it.

I did a chat with Playstation.com this morning. The beta is a lottery and the site team has no information about who gets selected nor whether there are codes remaining. The selection process seems to be handled by Polyphony Digital. We all know how smoothly they handle things.

I did provide feedback to the Playstation.com customer service rep that the site should at least send a reply to our email that says thank you for your interest in the game. As it stands now, there is no indication that your application for a code was received. I have tried to sign up now a handful of times. The rep said that he would log the complaint/suggestion for Sony and PD.

What a missed marketing opportunity by Sony and PD. They could have sent a slick email showing new, exclusive screen shots and game play to everyone who requested a code. Polyphony could have made each and every one of us feel special, even if we did not win the lottery for a code.

The game-play and physics will need to be pretty special to convince me to buy GT Sport and a PS4 system.

Thanks for the info bro! I really wanna race hahah

What is wrong with my message? It's on englIsh and no harmful words were used in the message? I was asking a genuine question my friend lol

Apart from the absence of capital letters at the start of your sentences and for the "I" personal pronoun, and the spotty punctuation, yes:
Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.
Your subsequent posts are an improvement - though if you're going to respond to several people, please use the Multiquote feature instead of making a string of separate posts for each reply.

Thanks bro

Welcome to GTPlanet.
Yes, you didn't use foul language. Kudos.
Look above a Famines post. He clearly highlighted what the issue was. Capitalization, punctuation are the issues.

Tree'd

Yeah. Well. . .

And thanks, Obama.

For the record, I agree the physics shouldn't be AS forgiving as that.

As a matter of interest, when do the tracks change,
or is that as random/secret/enigma wrapped in a mystery as getting
picked for the beta, or a release date for GT Sport? :D

Nope, i think is not! If we can determine who is wrong so can a computer program designed by us, it just needs more coding to add more possibilities & matches! A better system!
Your brain is exceptionally more efficient at processing certain information, we have evolved "shortcuts" in processing that modern computers and programmers have a near impossible time to replicate. Object recognotion ("seeing") is one such problem for computers. Computers have been evolving for dozens of years, our brains have for hundreds of millions of years.

Well, some interesting races today.

Messed up bad in one Nurburgring race and nearly finished last, 2nd one I was speared into from out of nearwhere by someone in a Corvette (who then subsequently proceeds to go three wide and shoved a slower car into me, putting me into the grass and wall, destroying my SR rating). Third actually went decent, with a battle that almost happened coming towards the finish.

In the GR.3 races, First one I sorta wasn't expecting such a start where I passed people only for a log jam to happen in Turn 1, Race 2 I try to stay off one car only to get shoved (by the exact same person that speared into me at the Nurburgring) and for the rest of the race had a nice little battle with @GTP_Patrick1 (sorry for the slightly overaggressive driving) and then finally the 3rd race that was just..nuts. People crashed, went from 8th to 4th (eventually finishing 5th because one of the faster guys caught me and I let them through because there was no point putting up a fight when they were taking 4-6 second chunks out of my time)

I sadly started the crash on the start...

Had a great time with GTS today! Online competition was great and clean, I'm really loving the the Gr. 3 cars! One of my friends came over to see GTS and he thought I was playing the A.I, I told him its only online he was shocked to see how smooth the online play was. I ping between 11 and 13. Audi R8 on Brands for me was money( thanks @Ridox2JZGTE ) I love the motor sound, the crackle of the exhaust and the gear change sounds! Hopefully I get my hands on that McLaren tonight!

Thanks :) You should post the tune you used on the R8 at the GTS share your setup thread, it may help others too :D If you have the Evora, there's a tune made by @OdeFinn posted at the GTS setup thread that works well on GTS https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/share-your-gts-car-setups.354696/page-14#post-11790541

The races tonight were fun. All except the Gr3 races at Brands Hatch. I kept getting shoved off track left right and center, got disqualified for first two races and last race I got knocked into the sand trap by Patrick who I guess was making up for lost time due to that massive pile up of Corvettes in the beginning. It was fine. No hard feelings. But I just quit after that lol.

I also have to mention that @praiano63 is just extremely fast. It's like everybody else is just driving cars while he's flying an airplane.
