Everyone has different opinions.

Here's a clip on rFactor with some "amateur" sim racers.

Who is that Jack dude, what a cheapskate, as for Benjamin Button, he's an actor isn't he?

To my critics if by adding one race is bad , and you defending alternate accounts to save your A ranking . Could it be we are looking for better racing drivers to race with . Using ranking for all of your racing seems elitist then adding a sim wheel only for one race . Gamers and Simulator Drivers want the same thing for GTS to be the best and bring more good drivers for us to race against.

Not really criticising, but I'm guessing not everyone with a wheel is awesome.

@Junkman55 you specifically are looking to change GTS by adding a restricted race. Many have argued for an extra race for a long time, endurance racing, no ratings racing and tuning races are all things people have asked for. You asked for an extra race to avoid controller players. That is elitist. The ranking system as it is being used isn't elitist, it is being used to provide closer racing by aiming to group people at what should be similar skill levels. That isnt being elitist, it is trying to improve the product for everyone.

You have also claimed you dont like people having alt accounts for vague reasons. I think you dont actually like GTS more due to your current results and situation.

Barring players from dailies for what amounts to monetary reasons is a ridiculous idea. I would suggest iracing then as it costs lots of money so you will have your mind eased that the people in it are serious enough for your random criteria. GTS is for the masses. If you dont like us unwashed controller masses then you need to choose a different game, but that will involve your dreaded much longer races, the kind of thing those 'serious sim racers' focus on.

I wish you well, but dont try to argue for barring me from certain dailies because I put supporting my family ahead of buying silly game peripherals.

Why would you wish him well?

The only people I wish ill to are those who want to ruin everyone else's races and ruin the game for everyone. And even them I'm usually just wishing for their controller or TV to have a total meltdown.
Despite the limitations he wants to place on it he mainly wants another type of daily race. I could go for one of those as long as I'm allowed to race it with my heathen DS4

I really don’t think I could’ve said it better myself

If you want to really try your wheel. Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition is on sale for $12:99 US on PS store. Try it. You won't play GTS again.

“The ranking system as it is being used isn't elitist, it is being used to provide closer racing by aiming to group people at what should be similar skill levels.” I am a little confused why would You need an protect a A rating if not to keep drivers with a D rating out of your group of people.

I have been a D/S driver from day one in GTS with my T-GT simulator. I participate in the 3 daily races with no discrimination on ranking because it’s qualifying time that will place me in a race. I have a 4 second rule when I am with 3to4 seconds behind the 10 best qualifier I will enter the race . That is where I find my competition with the Alphabet ranking . So get over yourself I am there either in front of you or behind you. The one thing that will separates BOP between us in any race is the controller we use.

Actually it's your SR rating, followed by your DR rating that places you in a race.

The matchmaking system gathers up all the entries at the top of the SR range, and then matches them with the closest DR ratings available from top down, until it runs out of people. Then it gathers up all the entries in the next set of SR ranges, and matches them with the closest DR ratings available from top down, until it runs out of people. And so on until all entries are exhausted.

Your qualifying time has no bearing on it. At all.

This doesn't make any sense. Who needs to "protect" anything? Is this you back on your ridiculous crusade against secondary accounts again?

It's also tripe because a D/S could easily be paired with an A/S in a Daily Race. I've seen it many times over.

That is where I find my competition with the Alphabet ranking
You are aware that "D" is a letter of the alphabet, right?
The one thing that will separates BOP of any race is the controller we use.
What on Earth does "separates BOP" mean?

And no. I'd suggest getting over yourself, as a controller user is either in front of you or behind you.

BALANCE OF PERFORMANCE is the first thing at the top of the list of race rules in all of the 3 daily’s You are asking me to tell you what BOP means that’s funny they even print it in yellow so you know you can’t change them. It is the setup of competition to make it fair for all drivers who enter. The only thing that is missing is what controller you can use.

No, I know what BOP is - I've written several articles on the GTPlanet homepage about the subject. I'm asking what the phrase "separates BOP", which appears in your post, means.

Once again, we're at the point where either English isn't your first language - explaining your absolute mangling of it - or you're just trolling.

If the input device makes so much difference, then why are you D rated with your $1000 TGT, while we have some Controller users at A+? Why isn’t your wheel making you A+ if it is so much better?

Also, the TGT is a steering wheel, not a simulator.

Well if I had that setup (I wish) I'm sure I'd be faster than I am with my basic wheel and setup, will I then be alien fast of course not. Not that this is in anyway relevant but then again I'm not sure what this thread is actually about, as junkman now seems to be on about alternate accounts again.

No, I like having actual people to race against. The other games are ghost towns(on console), and racing AI is about as fun as watching paint dry.
Right and the 10 to 20 people I race with daily would disagree.

So would the thousands of people I can race with anytime. 10-20 people is hardly a thriving community. It’s exactly what I said, a ghost town.

You don’t even have a sport race completed in GTS, how can you even judge the game honestly? Judging it by the offline mode that was thrown in after the fact to placate offline gamers is no way to judge this game.

Pretty sure Junkman was trying to raise this "issue" of Controllers having an advantage and separating them out from wheel users last year in the dailies thread
That's weird, all the evidence says that wheels have a big advantage in every area on all racing games. BOP'ing the wheels to be slower is an interesting idea, maybe @Junkman55 is on to something, if controllers had a 5% weight reduction things would be much closer 👍

I've got it figured out. Someone doesnt like knowing they are competing with controller drivers as it ruins their self image of being serious as a simulator racer.

Oh well, another balloon popped. Grow up and get real. If it bothers you that much then many of us have all said it before, you are playing the wrong game for your own mental issues.

And yes I have been the D driver in an A lobby as well as the A driver in a D lobby. And in neither case was it a benefit. Closer matching of drivers makes for better racing, that's the goal of the rating system. Not the elitist class thing you think it is.
