GT6 wasn't delayed though
It's always a bit odd how you approach a discussion as if the views and opinions of those that have a problem with something are unwarranted, as if to put yourself above others in the situation just because they express distaste for things that happened within the development of this title, and past ones. There is no issue with those that still enjoy the game. If that's what you feel, that's your right. I just don't feel why it would be necessary to come around and act like the people who don't enjoy the game seem foolish. That's what I feel you're implying from your general message and tone about it.
Whilst it's undeniable that Graphics, particularly lighting, is GT's strongest suit I'd rather wait and compare the two at release of GTS. FM7 may be available on Scorpio by thenAll available online.
As long as the AUP is not being broken then any member is fine to post on any thread and you do not get to infer that they shouldn't.I can wait. No big deal.
I don't understand why it's necessary to come around the GTS boards and fuel the fire if you don't enjoy the game. What do you care if a game you don't like is delayed? What's the motivation to post here?
You don't think outsourcing would have been a good idea for the last two games? This is why I prefer them doing the modeling, I know they're painfully slow at modeling a car, but I think, it's worth it in the end. What I want to see them doing is outsourcing their sound simulation, they obviously having hardtime creating a convincing sounds.
No standard cars in GTSport. Obviously, the biggest mistake of the PS3 era.You don't think outsourcing would have been a good idea for the last two games?
Agreed, however, that means a lower car count this time round. No standard cars in GTSport. Obviously, the biggest mistake of the PS3 era.
Yeah but it doesn't mean even lower than entire premium in GT6.Agreed, however, that means a lower car count this time round.
We need to know how Poly counts cars. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X :Agreed, however, that means a lower car count this time round.
You forgot to mention the different liveries for each one of those that are counted as different cars.We need to know how Poly counts cars. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X :

Potentially four cars!

Indeed, outsourcing and high quality models are not mutually exclusive. But again you're seemingly working on the assumption that only PD can create highly detailed models and any company they outsource to wouldn't be able to do it. I do not buy that at all. When any artist creates a 3D model for *anything* they almost always have budgets and limits. They have a time limit, a polygon limit, a texturing limit, possibly other more specific limits and restrictions.
I see no reason why PD couldn't find a company of talented 3D modellers and outsource modelling to them under the instruction it is to have the same time and detail as their own models. After all, they do this when they hire new blood. I don't believe that the models for T10 are the best ANY outsourcing company can produce. I believe instead that those models were made to a time, polygon and texture limit that is clearly far below the levels PD work to.
Sure, they would still be slower for that reason but it would speed things up somewhat. There has to be a balance between quality and speed. Right now it seems like PD are too far on the quality side, T10 are a little too far on the speed side.
Hold off for longer, PS4K should be along which should mean you can pick a PS4 for even less.Looking on the bright side, for those of you like me who don't yet have a PS4 and were waiting for GTS to come out before making the purchase, this now means you can buy one in January when all the sales are on for what I am sure will cost considerably less than buying one during the run up to Christmas.
Good guy Kaz 👍

Premium cars from PS3 era have crazy details but Poly never allowed to see their work! I don't see the point in modelling screws under the seat if I have to use a glitch... At least in Forza, there is Forzavista.I don't think anybody has ever really put forth the argument that PD isn't the best at modelling and lighting.
That comparison is misleading for a few reasons: first, the cars are not the same models (FM6's Evo X is the first year of the car, GTS' is the final model). Secondly, we have no idea how the Photomode is handled in GTS, and how much it's different from in-race visuals (in much the same way FM6 assets change between modes).
Personally, as someone that spends a fair amount of time in Photomode, I do appreciate the work. It's able to quite convincingly fool people not familiar. On the other hand, I also appreciate the sheer volume of models available to explore fully in FM6. Those also have under-the-skin modelling, which hasn't been shown off so far in GT Sport.
I think the FM6 cars represent a solid dark gray area on the quality scale. If GT5 Standards are on one side (white), and GT Sport "Super Premiums" on the other (black), FM6 cars exist at somewhere around the 90% gray mark. No other game comes close to offering the breadth of cars on offer in FM6 though, and other than GT Sport, I can't think of a game that has better models either. Okay, maybe Driveclub, which admittedly looks fantastic in Photomode.
Each game prioritizes different things.

Are you being serious right now? You must be the biggest apologist I've ever come across.
You might want to reread it as it seems you missed the point completely. I'll come here and post my issues with the game as much as I feel like it, because I can.I can wait. No big deal.

Which is exactly what they have said in the past. Did that result in a game with no flaws?Well, better than having another "Project Cars".
PD wants to make a game that has no flaws.
