Sparks are new/revised, no? I don't remember them being as stand-out as they are on Tokyo there...

Sparks were already seen in Tokyo press build, yes. Looks like it is refined (I feel the sparks is more prominent than before). Guess this footage is came from a recent event in Frankfurt. I also remember few days ago that Sony said they are allowing direct footage for this event from some GTP member post here.

I think we never seen this footage before...

ok...

1. The crash at 29 seconds sounds like tearing paper.
2. What's with the driving in the last clip of Northern Isle Speedway. I need a stiff drink after watching that.
3. What's wrong with collecting cars?

Crash sounds is something that GT have to nailed with. The last driving clip, well that what happened when you bring high downforce race cars on steep banking oval. A floorpan underneath the car will touch the surface and creating sparks as car goes faster. Or perhaps you are talking about the rough driving? No comment on that...

Last one is something that what I thought is not necessarily had to say because there will be a significant increase (either big or small) in car count through updates imo. So we're basically still collecting cars but it is not like what we had in previous GT.

Tokyo expressway looks amazing - There is so much beautiful color with those cars on the track.

When I heard those Tire Squealing I thought I'm Still Playing Dying Light.
RUN, CRANE! THE VOLATILES ARE COMING FOR YOU!!!!!

At first, I hated the idea of an abridged and miniature SSR7. I'm beginning to think the flow of the layout will help people to force themselves to be more consistent and not drive "off track" like people do at Fuji Speedway. I've learned a lot from doing the Monaco Roadster Quick Match. I never liked the Monaco circuit, in GT or in reality, because of how restrictive the boundaries are (like a rally track or certain custom tracks in GT; huge eye-roll at that). Now to see what I can do at Fuji. Ahhh poop.

Not sure if I should have posted this in its own thread, or if a thread of this exists, but I'll go ahead and post this here:

What would you all say the chances of the game supporting legacy Logitech steering controllers is? I have a Driving Force Pro that I don't look forward to upgrading anytime soon, mostly because of the hardware-based steering lock switching mechanism; it's too good to pass up for arcade racers. I'm going to say that the chances are very slim, if not nonexistent; I'm hoping for the best, but I'm also preparing to craft my own GIMX device in case my Driving Force Pro isn't going to be supported.

Impossible I'd say.

Shame we didn't get much new footage from Germany. Roll on TGS then.

The Driving Force Pro isn't listed but it is the predecessor to the DFGT. Maybe if you contact them, they can let you know. http://cronusmax.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/343-Drive-Hub-Hardware-Support

This is possibly going to be better than GIMX. I bought a GIMX a month ago, otherwise I probably would have gotten the CronusMAX Drive Hub. I may still get it seeing as how I want to play Forza using my G27.

Hi

Is it possible to give yourself a real name in the game or is it always possible to see only the PSN name in races?
I'd rather give real names because of realism.

Does anyone know anything about this?

For now I can only congratulate on a great question

In previous GT's only option online was your PSNid... I am also hopeing for change in that with GTS getting more connected with real life. I have such great killer name for my self, yet also humble :) :P

You can add your real name on the digital license
Not sure if it will be displayed in the race

Those early pictures are the reason for my hopes. But beta never used anything but psn... also note that Kazunori is great wine scholar :) and so PD has always been fond of using names of fine wines - if only they used john smith as psnid and Cabernet as real name, then that would be MUCH more significant :D:cheers:

Something to digest. If GTSport has seasonal events -- would that be enough offline content for you?

For me it's a yes. Infact, I'd prefer that since we get leaderboards as well but they do need to change often. I'd also love a Driveclub-esque challenge mode.
Seasonal events are nothing more than glorified arcade races with bigger prizes. Not sure how that's such a great attraction especially if they aren't set up with combinations you enjoy and/or with driving aids forced on or even left optional so you can't be competitive without them.

That wouldn't cut it for me.
I want some kind of career mode with progression.
