Hopefully they can patch it in. Remember how DriveClub did that? I couldn’t believe they pulled that off, and it ended up being the best weather effects ever.

Driveclub had a short dev time so PD shouldn't really be excused. I think they might have planned for something but ran into performance issues.

So safe to say weather ain't happening?
There is still a chance but we have seen a couple of full versions of the game in the wild now. So I'd assume if weather was in we would know about it. I'm just hoping that PD are treating the GTS release version as a solid base to build from and over the next 2-3 years we will see a steady (monthly?) stream of content and features added to the game for free. If they do that then 3 years down the line it could be a pretty special game but if it isn't added to significantly after release I can only see it as yet another missed oppurtunity.

Then they would’ve removed the wet tires.. :P they’ll patch it in if it isn’t in the release. I’m sure. Maybe a huge day 1 patch? ;)

In other news! Is anyone else still playing right now? I am.. ;)

Recognize the livery I’m making? The GT logo is different though..

- Wet tires still in game
- Wet surface on one of the mission challenges
- Windscreen wipers appear to be working in game
- Rain lights are working on certain cars (i.e. RC F GT3)

It’s actually pretty confusing...

After a tap on my rear left three quarter, mind.

The game briefly told me I had 16 seconds of penalties and would be disqualified as a result...

Oh right. I came out of the corner and noticed you were gradually turning left. Didn't see the initial contact.

A similar thing happened to me tonight. Got a 10 second penalty because somebody cut me up on the pit-exit straight at Interlagos

Already intended to buy/preordered GT Sport, will now NOT buy GT Sport. I have waited so long for this game. I have owned and played every GT since the beginning, even getting gold in everything. I tried the NEW demo and I HATE IT! I can't drive for ****, and I'm not sure what is wrong with me? I hope the game store will give me back my deposit that I made in November 2016! I was looking forward to a great game over the winter!:(

So you dislike the game because you're bad at it?

Overall impression: Very good.
Tonight the game seemed to group the fastest drivers, in a league-like way. There were only 1.5-2 seconds between the top 20 drivers on lap times, and the majority of the racing etiquette was superb. This was the first time on a console racing game that I could trust unknown players to overtake on the outside of the corner.
Using a T300, the feel of some of the cars seems life-like. I love how you have to fight with the wheel on some corners, particularly when racing at Interlagos.
Hope to see a leaderboard separating those who have and don't have a wheel. I feel for those who don't have one. It makes a huge difference.

If you look around GTP you'll find reports of various controller and wheel issues. It's possible some of them apply to you. Don't give up without further investigation.

Yes... I hate the game because I suck. I'm just an average Joe. Game is just not the same anymore. Was hoping for the older GT feel. I also dislike the Vision cars! I don't understand why I'm bad at it! I did the 30 lap challenge 4 times, and I get out front at about 8-10 laps, 4 times I get spun out by the AI! WTF ... Yet I get a penalty! This is BS!

I disliked the AI on that as well. However, getting spun out (and by spun out I mean proper rammed off the track or straight up PIT into a barrier where I had to reverse) three times, I was able to land 2nd place in one go without adjusting fuel mapping. First was within the taking, but I didn't trust the AI to not take me out. No way in hell was I going to lose all that time and endure that stress just to get knocked into the grass on the final lap losing it all.

Timing your laps and looking at the split between you and the race leader will tell you your margin for making up the positions if they cost you. It's just math. Trust the numbers. You don't need to restart if you can time the refueling frequency. If I recall correctly I refueled every seven laps for the first three, six on the last pit stop putting me at lap 27. For each cycle, I got up to 2nd/3rd and dropped to about 16th from pitting. It took about a lap and a half (depends on who was pitting) to get back up into top three again. Shorting the last pit cycle gave me twice the time with three laps to get back up there just in case.

If your expectation is just to jump in a car and race without having to plot a strategy (and I understand the desire for this) -- well, there are public lobbies. No biggie.
