The time was beatable with stock settings. But maybe only a tiny percentage did it. It took me a while to gold it. I don't know how it was with a DS4 but maybe too hard (?).

I got it withing 15 minutes with a controller and I was well within the time limit. The key was not to slide, but take the racing line and prioritise corner exits.

I did it with the DS4 but I needed to adjust gearratios.

I guess it also depended on the car you had. I had the EVO Gr.B which was OK but maybe some people had cars with less suited stock setups for the challenge. Anyway, good they balanced it out I guess. :)

I had the Toyota 86 and used the stock setup. I believe the cars are BoP'd, so it shouldn't make much of a difference what you drive.

I don't really know a good place for this, but this idea/thought came to me during the 30 lap challenge in the GTS Demo...

Motor-racing, is a team sport, so why do so few racing games even acknowledge this?
F1 2017 gives you the idea of a team, you get an engineer who gives you random info and you can quiz him for more useful info during the race. He'll even sometimes offer you a new strategy based on whats going on in the race... so why isn't this happening in GTS or PCars2 ?

Personally, with GT games, I've always struggled with setup, I think there is definitely scope for them to add an engineer type AI to the game that helps with giving you a better setup based on how you drive... or maybe give you strategies for the races so you know ahead of time when you should pit for fuel and tyres instead of just playing it lap by lap trying to figure it out while driving...

The driving experience is incredible on the controller, PC2 could learn a lot from this. :)
Apart from when you try and countersteer obviously ;)

It's much easier to play GTS on a wheel as well. Probably has something to do with the realism of both games. GTs likes to make you feel like a driving God, no bad thing, whereas PC2 is a more realistic racer.

I had a 🤬 Mustang to do it with :P

Careful Mr Peugeot..Nothing wrong with Fords :sly: 👍

Especially the Motion Controller I could never go back to Stick control on GTS after finding out how excellent this is! It is so smooth and easy to use.

(I tried on PC2 but it was not the same I was all over the place :()

BoP has nothing to do with setup though. Only power / weight ratio. If a car goes through a bend in 1st gear and another one in 2nd, that can make the difference between getting bronze or not (or gold ofc). You could notice this with different Gr.4 cars on the second corner at Lake Maggiore.

It censored the word awesome :P don't know why that happend.....

There is a thread on this topic, but essentially the game has input lag, making snaps all but impossible to catch without over-correcting.

PD have seen this feedback and are working on patching it.
found thread thanks to the link above and replied on there too

has anyone tried this yet? I'm curious.

someone on neogaf said it quite noticeable and sounds great.

I'm not finding tyre squeal to be an issue at all. it's a damn sight better than GT6 for it
Good to hear it hasn't bothered you. Plenty of other people have mentioned that they don't like it so if this enhancement amplifies it then it may be a problem for them.

Can someone help me out here this guy on twitter seems to think GT Sport has no tyre wear what so ever

Literally will not believe it has it at all

Well, tyre compound can be chosen on the car setup and quick options menu (along with TCS, ABS, other aids). Tyre wear is an option on the race settings. Once your "start race" you can change tyre compound but not turn tyre wear (or gas consumption and damage for that matter) on/off.
