Use the GT3 Subaru racing softs on front and mediums on rear. Pit at the end of lap 12 get fresh racing softs and refuel for 9.7ish laps. You need to put in between position 1-4 and exit within those positions aswell ideally. It is a tough race.

i cants do it with my corve C7 :(

How are numbers on cars chosen? You can choose your own number, and stick to it? Or is it chosen by the game before the race starts?

Well, so far it ain't bad. Like a lot of people, I'm kinda disappointed by the number of cars and tracks, but I know those will change in the (hopefully) not-to-distant future. Other than that, it is an exceptionally pretty thing, I haven't encountered any bugs or anything. I haven't tried Sport Mode out yet and I'm a bit apprehensive about it, but maybe you guys will sell me on it?

Today is my birthday and I got the Dualshock 4 Gran Turismo SPORT Limited Edition from my GF :embarrassed: She's the best.

I also got a birthday car from Gran Turismo, Lexus LC500. Thanks PD.

:gtpflag:
I just spend 4 minutes translating 'Lubim ta' from Slovak to English.. I shoulda guessed what it said haha! Aww that's a sweet DS! Happy Bday!

I used the WRX Gr.3 with Medium tires. I saved fuel in the draft until I could pass the cars. I pitted in 6th at the same time as the Viper and WRX, short filled (Still had 30% fuel, only took an extra 50%) and pushed on Mediums. When the Mustang comes out of the pits a lap later, you can catch the lead pack and draft. Save as much as you can until you get in free air. Then you’ll be able to pass and stay ahead. I finished with 1% fuel ;)

Gran Turismo Sport Tournament by Playstation Middle East and IGN ME: the winner with the fastest race time or lap time gets a chance to win a PS4 Gold/Silver.

I already posted a status but I thought I would share it here.

Basically you're given a 3 lap race on Dragon Trail against some 2-3 A.I's and you have to complete it as fast as you could. Pretty much a time trial using the "total time" that shows up after each race. You could use any car you want but preferably a GR.1 car like the TS050 or Nismo GTR LM. Sadly I was forced to get into the Nismo but at least I could change some driving options if I want to.

The majority managed to do it around 6-8 minutes at most but somehow, I got 4 minutes and 55 seconds using the T300 GT wheel. :D

So far, I'm not sure if I'm going to win a PS4 but at least I'm at the top 10 players. :P

Unrelated but there's was also this Collection Edition on sale for $120.

Forgot to mention, I'm using a T500RS.

Thanks for the tips, currently 6th on the leaderboards. My consistency needs to improve, but I haven't been behind the wheel for years.

This has probably been asked before, but how are some already at 'A' and 'S' ratings?

Finally got a chance to sit down with GTS. Eagerly reading this subforum each day up to and past release made me feel behind even though it's only a couple of days.

Being a new style GT I decided I'd experience in a new style for me. I played GT 1-3 in Canada as a bachelor on medium size TV with a controller. 4 through 6 I played in Japan on a small TV hooked sitting on a desk with a wheel. Now with GTS I'm in Australia with a beautiful big TV but just a controller. I don't do racing games much now.

I always used bumper cam but now that GTS has these amazingly detailed interiors I've decided all racing will now be with the interior camera view. I also decided I'll use the motion control on the Dual Shock 4 which was awkward at first but works really well.

The start definitely feels like a GT game with those beautiful menus and all those extra things in the dealerships which I never really pay attention to. I did what I always do when I first fire up a GT game and went to options and turned race BGM volume to zero before hitting the License, er, Driving School section. I'm not sure if Golding each license gets you a better car (I suspect not) but I didn't stop until I had Golds in the first three rows. After that was the Missions for a bit before browsing the dealerships. Ended up buying a Jaguar. Not bad for a couple hours work.

Right now it feels like a GT title for me which I'm thankful for. It's also spectacularly beautiful. I worry that this feeling won't last long, however, as I'll quickly run out of things to do in offline mode. Not having PS Plus, and until now not feeling I needed it, I don't have any intentions of hitting the Sport Mode yet. I'll be content I think with the campaign if it gets attention going forward. If this is all it is I'm probably end up shelving this title much earlier than with previous GTs.

I really wish that Pagani was in the game. They've been my favourite cars since they were included in the series. I also desperately miss Grand Valley Speedway. That track was perfection.

My verdict? So far so good. For now.

Rank carries over from demo and you rank up pretty quickly if you keep winning.

Just played my first online GTS game. Better than expected, people were actually trying to avoid each other. It was still a complete mess though as most people are using controllers. There's only one question I have now: in a world where iRacing exists, why does GTS exist?

Because it doesn't cost £100s, only £40.

I always finish second.... So frustating. My thumb hurt so much now :D

As I said, I've only seen them 20 mins apart in the betas, but since the full game released I've only seen them 5 minutes apart.
You haven't played since the game was released then. Ever since the first maintenance of the game on Thursday the daily races are now 5 minutes apart. Before that they were 20 minutes apart since the servers went online for the full game.

I know you're happy, but this sounds like a paid for post.
Mate, no one has paid me! How dare you make such an accusation, that's quite offensive to even think someone gave me money. One guy out of his own good will sent me the game for free, not because I was paid.

This game really does feel like real racing though in Sport Mode. I started 22nd out of 23 runners in a race at Suzuka East, driving a Group 4 Mazda 6. Starting from the back row isn't great but I had a great time working my way up to 8th place. There were mistakes, heated battles and conga lines which I have never experienced in any online race ever. I swear about 5 cars went off at the last corner with 1 lap to go, and I kept going as if nothing happened. Everyone was so respectful - I couldn't believe it. A was hounded by a Viper, made some risky overtakes that somehow succeeded, and had a hoot even though I was way off the podium. You know a game is good when you feel great finishing 8th:lol: Just getting through the drama without issue was a challenge considering that I came from the bottom... I want more of these great races. I even got a clean race bonus (150% extra cash) probably because I made no contact with anyone. That's a first.

Because they won't port iRacing to ps4? I would love it if they did. Computers are too much a part of my work life.. I got rid of any windows and linux machines at home years ago and got a MAC mini that has worked without a hitch since we got it in 2011 for at home computer needs. Sim racing is about the only thing that would get me onto a PC again but with AC and Dirt Rally on ps4 .. the desire is not strong enough to go back to it.

Got the full game today and have been blasting through the Driving School for a kick off. So far it's feeling like a reasonably solid foundation and it still feels like a GT game. Feelings haven't changed much since the demo.

There is no way Iracing's pay model will work on console ( imo). $14 a car? $14 a track? Plus subscription based? It surely would not have a large enough audience to make it worth it to the consumer either.

Oh man. The traction loss physics in the N200/N300 FWD cars is abysmal. Anyone tried it? It's the same as in GT4. There's traction loss, way too much and car's don't exhibit the characteristics of traction loss. All you get is the revs going faster and the car slowing, like you've hit black ice. It's the most unusual sensation of traction loss I've seen in a game.

Edit - and this is with traction control on.

Noticed that too. You can mitigate this turning off traction control and using precise throttle control.
