This ruined the whole sport mode. I have limited time every night and now i have no chance to compete. It's a joke.
And why the hell did they take away tuning!! The best part with weekly was that you had time to practice and learn the tracks and above all the fun part with tuning. Now its ****.

Damn, I can’t believe that the daily races change daily now!

Is there any info about incoming patches to GTS including new cars or tracks? I'm willing to buy the game and console for it, but I'm concerned that they won't be adding new tracks or cars in the future, that will fill the gap between other racing games, like Forza 7 in terms of cars and Project CARS 2 in terms of tracks.

Be rest assured that tracks and cars will be added. PD Supports their game well.

Agree fully with your points. I have limited time to play and now with daily changes I dont stand a chance and the fun is gone.

Wrong. Fun is not gone only Pole is gone.

I started 16th on Suzuka last night and finished 9th. It was a lot of fun. Epic race.

Also once you get accustomed to the tracks, when next time the same event comes , go for it then. Like next time Suzuka comes, i will be more ready.

This all Sport mode is terrible after Daily changes is ridiculous.

Well I think I have the right to my impressions right? For me one day is not fun. If I have 1h to play I do not have the time to learn the trac and be competitive. I prefer 3-4 days and more tracks instead.

I’m in Bangkok at the moment (getting married here next week):D so It’ll be interesting to see how the game and the perception of the game has changed when I’m back in Wales in a few weeks, personally I’m glad that they’ve changed the daily to actual dailies as I found that if the 3 tracks weren’t to my liking I was kinda stumped until they changed..although 3 different ones at a time is less than ideal, hoping they’ll add more choice in the coming days/weeks

Hopefully they listen to feed back and strike a balance between daily races and adding weekly events.

A big part of the enjoyment for me is practicing through the week, hitting a ceiling time wise and then suddenly smashing that time and improving. Whether that's due to finding a better line through a corner or tweaking your set up. Nothing beats that feeling for me.

I'm one of those who don't like new sport mode races every day. You can't test which stock cars are better, you can't test setups, you don't master the track and the likelihood of making mistakes or getting bumped (lowering your own DR/SR and those around you) while racing are obviously higher.

At least 1 race (G.4 or Gr.3) should stay there for the whole week.

I won't be playing sport mode so often that's for sure. Yesterday tried to put a good qualifying lap around Lake Maggiore to get to know the track as best as possible so today I could do same races and get some wins. Made a 2:08:629. Today I turn on my PS4 and the Gr.4 race is around a Kyoto layout with 5 turns and Gr.3 around a track with 3 turns... Great. Basically I spent my time yesterday getting to know the track and putting a top10 qualifying lap for no reason.

I didn't even bother with the gr3 and 4 races yesterday. No way cor me to feel confident enough in my track knowledge in an hour, that i wont be messing up others around me. I understand that as time goes on we will get to know these tracks and it wont be as much of an issue, but for now i wish they woulda left them up cor 3 or 4 days at least.

Keep the daily races and do this:

6 races that goes live in next 24 and 48 hours (future rotation and the one after that) are accessible for qualification but not for racing.

This way people that want daily races can continue playing and those who need time to prepare have time to practice.

Word of advice: I don't know, if someone had this before, but if you take part in a Sport-race where the car is not from your garage, like today's Audi TT at Alsace, and the tyres are not the default ones (i.e. SS, not SH for the Audi TT), then every time you enter the track in qualifying or warm-up, the game is going to notify you of the fact that the tyres are changed (in this case to SS).

But here's the catch: if you are already qualified, and you just enter the race without warm-up, the tyres are not set to SS! You are going to start the race with SH and will have a really frustrating race after you wonder why the grip is gone.

I have had an issue today where I lost a few hours of Mission Challenge progress.

  • Last night I completed everything up to Mission 8-6 on my home console.
  • I saved the game as normal and then played in Sport Mode for a few hours.
  • This afternoon on my work console I see that my progress is only up as far as Mission 7-5.
  • Now back on my home console the progress is up to 7-5 too, yet my Friends Leaderboard times for the lost missions are still there.

Has anyone else had an issue with losing hours of progress?

What I find strange with mine is that I finished the Missions a few hours before I logged off for the evening, during which many auto-saves (and a few manual saves too) were made.

looks like we have a new favorite for the latest Gr.3 race lol what does it say about the BoP when just about every race is usually dominated by one car?

In Europe every top10 time was made with the VW GTI VGT. I had the best time with the beetle (25:333) but tried the GTI VGT and it's faster.

Weird, for sure, to have fake cars dominating.

Matchmaking is just as bad, throwing players from A to D rank into the same race.
I wonder if that might be because those are the only available players for that particular race. The success of the ranking system is greatly dependent on the number of participants. With thousands of people racing at the same time you should be able to get into lobbies where everyone is the same rank and very close in qualifying. If only a couple of dozen people are online you'll get a huge variety of ranking and qualification time

It even happens at prime time. But maybe the game is just a failure, at least for GT standards, and doesn't sell well enough, who knows.

since the settings are fixed i think it results in cars with favorable suspension setups for the given track always dominating the leaderboards, if they allowed open tuning i think you would see more variation up front.

The custom million Endurance race must have been patched.
I set an 8 hour endurance in Nurburg 24h as a N.100 Mazda vs a Gr.1 Tomahawk for some serious millions of Cr. and XP.
Now, after 8 hours I just did 1 lap to finsh and claim my 78k Cr...

I would be interested to see the variables taken into account in the matchmaking, I don't think this is an error, after playing close attention and reading some of the forum comments here.

I am DR D and SR B, and after finishing midfield a few races in a row, I am racing exclusively against same DR and SR for the last 5 races or so.

I feel my pace is better than this rank, though rank deserved due to wiping out, losing positions and finishing midfield. After a little practice and finishing towards the pointy end, I see a few DR B and C (still SR B) in the mix. Surely this is due to both my better racing, and the poor racing of the better ranked racers?

Before I got my SR up to B, I noticed in SR C and D that there was a greater mix of DR in races. Perhaps this is because there are fewer DR B racers who have DR D, and must be matched down the line with us plebs?

The greater the numbers of people in a division, the better the match...but the line is drawn somewhere.

On this note, on a large enough scale, with 12 (for example) in a race, you should have a one in 12 chance of qualifying pole, whether you qualify or not, because division still determine races. However I have had 30 races, and not had pole position once. Any theories out there?

99% of the time im racing against people of the same SR rank. Then you get the majority of the players at the same DR rank, sometimes a few from the above rank and some from the below who are likely going to be at the top or bottom of the respective ranks.

It seems A and B drivers are avoiding the BB Raceway GR.3 event. Its getting funny now, theres 3-4 really fast drivers at the front and Ds at the back getting lapped quick. Fun racing
