Well after yesterday's good news, today PD spoil it with some awful selections in Sport mode. All three are one-make races, two of them on reverse tracks (they are terrible) and the other (the only Gr car) is at Tokyo. :yuck:

Which reminds me. @R5 I recall you telling me that GT Sport's dlc would consist of mainly new cars. The first dlc batch was announced, are you still sure about GT6's cars only being a minority in additions?
We've only seen one DLC pack so it's hard to judge either way.

So, PS is doing changes to penalties? I barely touch The grass in a couple of races and I got several seconds in penalties and my SR went down from A to B :(

I noticed this couple days ago but at the rolling credits, i noticed "NASCAR", "Pikes Peak" and "Jay Leno" which's odd since i don't remember any of the three being in the game.

Question for you all...

I've got the following 2 Trophies on my to-do list:

upload_2017-11-24_11-34-22.png

I am currently a B/S driver and while the racing is fun I am consistently getting matched up with people that are either A/S or capable of setting Top 10 Qualifying times.

Although I am a skilled and respectful driver (pace-wise I'm in the Top 1% of Forza Motorsport players) I know I'm not going to succeed against these higher-rated drivers, I don't have that level of raw talent.

So my question is:
  • Should I "tank my rating" down to D/E, go for those (theoretically) easy wins and poles, and then work my way back up to my natural level to get good racing again?

It is possible to drop your ratings in a non-destructive manner (quitting on warm-up, dropping out of Qualifying etc.) which means I won't be ruining the races of others.

I'd love to get these Trophies through natural skill but I know I've hit my skill ceiling and by the time I could theoretically be good enough to compete on that level the playerbase may have dropped off and only the "GT Academy level drivers" would remain.

I'm in a similar position, approaching A/S, and considering the same. The worries are that the wins might not be easy:
1. race wreckers presumably more common, and we'd be in their firing line
2. if too many are doing the same, even the poles might not be easy
3. could be harder to get the SR rating back up afterwards

I've seen the odd quit from warm-up, one player for sure did it two races in a row, so there are some doing this already.

I just got my 4th win, 3rd pole, and 2nd fastest lap last night, after over 100 races. 'Eventually' they might come, but it is very, very far away! Especially since I prefer the longer races.

As a person who wants to get platinum for GT Sport, those two trophies would be almost impossible for me even though i'm currently at D/S.

i'm not sure about you but i find it hard for me to justify dropping my ranking since it took a while before i "raised my ratings".

Either magically get quicker, play tons until it matches you against slower guys or the best bet is to intentionally tank your safety rating instead by corner cutting (not crashing), you'll be way too fast for the crashing guys in the lower ratings if you get pole and avoid them at the first corner, unless you are unlucky enough to come across a fast guy just starting out.

Does anyone have an idea of what they would consider a good Gr.3 lap time at Suzuka? I completed my first Manufacturer's Cup race yesterday in the Mercedes AMG GT3. I am DR E and there was absolutely zero competition for me. I set a 2:02.6xx; would that be competitive at the higher levels?

Hopefully someone here can help. I just bought a Pro and 4K TV but I can't get GT Sport to display in 4K. As soon as I start the application it changes to 1080p. Netflix and Destiny 2 display in 3840x2160. I've tried doing the display assistant in game and even though it says at the end I have a 4K HDR tv it remains 1080p. Both the tv and pro are set up do 4K. Anyone experience this or have any tips. Thanks.

I had this issue too while I was visiting my dad this past weekend. He has a 4k HDR Samsung but I couldn't get it to display at it. The only thing I could assume being my issue was not having a "premium" HDMI cable, but I wasn't sure. I was only there for a few days and wasn't going to buy a new HDMI just to see if that was the problem. Unfortunately for me I'm now back to playing on my 720p Vizio:(

I wondered that as well. I'm using the HDMI provided with the Pro.

I think you'll find a lot more competition at higher DR levels. I'm also driving the Mercedes and I can set a 2:02.5 at Suzuka. I'm ranked A/S and in my race, I finished 3rd behind two other drivers who were setting 2:01s.

Stupid question - How do you change tyre brand from Continental to Yokohoma to Pirelli etc? I can't see it anywhere. Please can you click "Reply" to me in your reply so I get a notification? Thanks!

Only some cars allow it. For the ones that do it’ll be in the same area you change the aftermarket wheels.

Depending on the age of the TV, it may only have one or two dedicated ports for 4K, you may have not been plugged into, also may have needed a update firmware to support the latest HDMI 2.0a/b

The tv is a Sony XE9005 if that helps. Plus, like I said it's displaying 4K as far as I can tell, only GTS switches the resolution.

Just quickly looking up online what may be the TV, ports two and three appear to support 4K input.

I would make sure I have the latest firmware by going into the TV menu, and find the update feature (TV needs to be connected to internet) or going to Sony's website, looking up the exact model number and downloading the firmware.

I'm having problems with the decals uploader. SVG Format not valid, any help? I edited the image with Illustrator, 14KB. Anyone is having problems too?
