Anyone having Reconnect problems that past 10 minutes? All my other games work online. GTSport won't Reconnect me with the (NP-32470-6).

So, doing some laps of Nordshleife and noticed the much slower AI driver not only pull to the side of the track, but they also used their turn signal to indicate where they were gonna be. So...that's new. Don't know when that was added.

That's kinda an odd time, that effectively means the third slot for both Nations Cup and Manufacterers Series are not happening as they are at 21:00 and 22:00

And once again, I'm completely off on my time zones. Glad to see I'm wrong though since the last Manufacterer slot is usually my preferred choice. Just hoping things don't get abit laggy as the update nears like it did back in March.

Quick question: in which update did PD decide to optimise the game's FPS and sacrifice the graphics?

I understand that most racing games will lower the render quality mid race to maintain a playable FPS.

I personally never noticed an issue in circuit racing, drag racing, or drifting before the update.

However ever since then, cars will downgrade their renders so much to the point that it becomes distracting.

Believe it or not, the car in front of me is not an AMG GT3, it's an Audi R8 LMS just like the one I'm driving. When renders morph mid race, this one specifically around +0.900s, it becomes really distracting. Especially when you're constantly in that sweet spot during the race and cant seem to make any progress in catching the driver.

Another issue is the Ferrari 458 GT3's rear vents by the engine display cover. They're not vents in third person, they're simply nonexistent and the rear window just floats.

The Turn 14 BRZ's rear end morphs as well into a very low poly count. In drifting this isn't really as distracting as you're too close in a tandem for it to happen.

The Gr3 NSX suffers the same issues as do most cars however they're not that bad.

Like I said earlier, I understand the need to preserve FPS but I personally feel that such drastic and distracting real-time downgrades in graphics mid race are unacceptable. However, at this point I don't know if this is simply my PS4 not being able to cope, 1st gen model, so I can't compare it to the new and improved PS4 Pro.

Actually I noticed the opposite, in particular on grid starts, I get a massive Fps drop. I have the same PS4, as you.

Wow, that's horrible. And the fact there's no rain yet in the races.

Haven't been following this thread for the last few months....But you mention rain in the game. Is it due to be added? I noticed there are intermediates and wet tyres available in the car setup menu.

No. What I meant there was that there is no dynamic weather in GT Sport at all, yet there's that significant FPS drop already. If there is rain because of the dynamic weather, then the FPS drop could've been worse.

Interesting. Other developers would rather focus on AI that you can actually race properly, but there you go
With the past few circuits, including GW, PD have improved their Achilles heel. Took them 20+years, but it's happening.
