So since when does a spin off always cost less than a full price game?
If you consider GT Concept TG as a spin off so it is cheaper.

Everyone's taking all sorts of things with all kinds of salt in this thread as is, and we don't even have that much official stuffs.

I believe I've mentioned this more than once but it bears repeating. At this point we really know almost nothing about the game so to claim, "this will not be the case with GT Sport", is a claim that you can't make with any degree of certainty. If it is only an opinion you should clearly phrase it that way."Real" doesn't mean there will be a lot of content.
On a prologue version, we have the impression of playing a big demo.
This will not be the case for GT Sport. So, I consider GT Sport as a real episode.
This is not the case for you? That is your opinion.

Bla bla bla.....
No full game means no standart cars in the game.
...No full game means no standart cars in the game.
I'm not going to even argue with this statement...No full game means no standart cars in the game.
So what, you still think GT Sport is a "real episode" or that it's a lesser content, prologue/concept type game? It can't really be both.
"The old days, when the games were offline, the experience was defined by what's on the disc. You had a distinction between a Prologue and a full GT, it was very stark. When the game becomes more of an online connected experience, that distinction blurs. This will be much more than a Prologue type experience."
GTPlanet can confirm that GT Sport will include three distinct game modes: “Campaign”, “Sports Mode”, and “Arcade Mode”.
“But it’s not just about online racing; the GT teams have continued to build on the games legacy of accessibility to ensure that the game is open to all to enjoy.”

Whilst at the same time, it will have the depth and complexity to meet the expectations of the existing Gran Turismo fans.”

It was not.GT6 was released at discounted price.
Some people have a problem understanding the distinction between "seemingly point to" and, "will be", or, "will not be". It's an important distinction in a forum with a set of rules that prohibits posting that is "false, misleading or innaccurate".Was Forza 5 a full game (~300 cars/15? tracks + layouts)? Was AC 1.0 (non-early access, discounted price) a full game (60 cars counting all modifications and 10 tracks + layouts)? Or was it Project Cars a full game (70? cars / 30 tracks + layouts)?
GT6 was released at discounted price. Had like 400 cars, 10 new tracks. Was that a full game?
We can go back to Jim Ryan's statement and GTP's info (all marketing spiel though, not useful, am I right? ), even though logic inference and textual comprehension is not the strong suit here.
In other words: Yeah, it's going to be an update/DLC kind of thing, and you likely won't see the cardinalities you've come to expect.
All statements together seemingly point to a "new" model (from old plans).
Offhand executive statements and marketing blurbs about every GT game made in the past decade have generally not been very useful, no.We can go back to Jim Ryan's statement and GTP's info (all marketing spiel though, not useful, am I right? )

I don't really have a horse in this race but this line is completely wrong. GT6 launched at full price, and even had the anniversary edition that was more than standard full price, it had ~1200 cars, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it didn't have anywhere near 10 new tracks...
Yeah, above shows some places got below full price deals, and some did not, correct.
Those were special pre-order deals at some places, you can't use that as proof that the game didn't retail at full price...
I'm not? I said "Yes, above shows some places got below full price deals, and some did not, correct." As in "You are correct".
I assumed it had been released at a discounted price because I purchased as such at launch. Ameer67 corrected me. I found confirmation for his statement and I reaffirmed the agreement with your post.
hopeA sponsor doesn't guarantee anything.
There's too much of that with this forum.hope
And why many are always left disappointed...There's too much of that with this forum.
Gran Turismo is one of the main sponsors of Tokyo Auto Salon, we can only hope that they will have a stand.
