Indeed, I really hope they don't force you to do the beginner stuff to progress, I have a feeling they will though. Surely they have to recognise not everyone playing is a beginner and needs to learn the correct line through a basic corner.

I got the very vague impression from those numbers in the screenshot, that you can tackle anything, whenever you want...? Or at least get to a very generous early stage and move on if you want.

Though I imagine this would only work for the last 3 sections, beginners just has to be optional.

First two videos are done.

458 GT3 - Nurb
Menu Navigation - 1080/60 is about 83% processed, so you might want to wait a bit for this one.
I'm not a mod, but IMO these direct download high bandwidth videos need their own separate OP and thread in the GTS Forum. Now that we have direct from the source high fidelity video, it should be the basis of all future discussions around graphics. It's too important to get buried in the middle of this thread:tup:

All I've seen so far on Campaign Mode is that list of challenges up there^^. Am I missing something? Has their been any info on the offline career yet?

I had expected 'Circuit Experience' to be the offline racing events but that doesn't seem to be the case, they're just more instructional events going by that screen. Which to me means there is no offline career racing events. Where else would they be?

You'd hope so but based on past experience, i'm expecting not.

Exactly. I've seen people talking about what they want in career mode and often mentioning the 117 events as if it's not enough but I don't think they realize that, so far at least, the only offline events we know of are instructional/learning/license type events, not races or series of races. Hopefully there is more to come.

Some sort of check on your PSN account to see if you play driving games maybe (or have played GT before), on install?

Privacy issues aside, would be a nice way to not annoy the experienced racers.

Or just a simple 'Have you played GT before?' question on first play...

A simple "skip" option would suffice. I'd like to see a couple of video tutorials on racing and online etiquette and an explaination of exactly how the driver rating/ranking system works.

Hey man, not sure whether it's much use, but there's a GTS tag on Gamersyde:

In a slight touch of irony, I wanted to make a comment on the video on Gamersyde but when I hit the button a message popped up that said, "soon". How very Gran Turismo!

I've created a new thread for this because I think it's a very important topic brought to light.

Need For Speed has done this with a few titles (shift 2, Hot pursuit 2010, Etc) GTS could have had a feature like this but I m not sure how it could know if you've played a previous GT other then looking for a save file or to keep an online record through a system like autolog for example.

Given that game is not finished, it seems like there is a lot of moaning about not enough content. I am quite sure there IS more to come. It is after all, gt7. So we will have a long wait before release as usual, also who's to say we wont get a content update shortly after release ?

This. The track is so...grey. I mean, look at what Forza have with the Rio track compared to the Tokyo track. The differences in atmosphere and colour are ridiculous.
Yeah they really could've done more and with all these negative comments i'm sure they will. It really just doen't do much for me. Should've included some of the downtown and got the colours and life the track needs
