Maybe because it's an unfinished product that might not represent the final product, and they saw some of the hate the videos have been getting, they decided to take them down.
They got more love than their own trailer. That's what disabling comments is for.

Wow, what an absolute disgrace this entire reveal event was, really let's break it down:
1. Beta announced for early 2016 (silently cancelled)
2. This reveal event was planned for April originally, but was delayed by a month
3. Horrible reveal trailer with an old build, horrible editing, music choice, etc.
4. Old build brought to the show with crap graphics, old sounds, etc.
5. Better builds brought in just 1-2 days (what have you been doing beforehand?!)
6. All footage scrubbed off the face of the earth after the backlash

Did I miss something? This is just an embarrassment for the entirety of PD and Sony, and a massive slap in the face to all the fans that keep putting up with this kind attitude from PD.

I'll toss one prediction out there - the game won't come out in November, it won't even come out in 2016, there's just no realistic scenario of this happening.

Funny thing is: I was not very impressed by the live stream. My opinion turned positive after seeing the GTP movies and reading the reports of the people that were on site. :)
I'm in the same boat. The live stream was downright awful in terms of first impressions. Only the videos on the news page and GTPlanet member's impressions got me somewhat optimistic about the game. This site alone is doing a far, far better job creating a positive image of GTS than themselves.

Nothing happens, that's it. Both track selection and track loading screens work in the same way: 3D model of the car superimposed to 2D images of the track. In those 1-2 seconds of loading time the game just needs to load the images, place the car on the scene and adjust the lighting.
Once you are in the pre-race screen you can see the actual 3D track (because the camera moves around and there's depth to the scene, instead of simple pannings).

I'm curious to see how it works in different weather conditions and time of day. ToD could be adjusted by changing exposure value, while there could be several images for each weather condition.
Or it could just have a default ToD/weather that doesn't change, like in GT6 loading screen.

I also think it's a "scape" kind of technology, but it is super well made.

Look at this part:

The shadow of the bridge is casted over the car. It's a really smart technique.

I'm giving up trying to work out PD/Sony on this...but to the above:

You know I'm worried too. I saw them great images of ~40? PD staff on-stage at the end of the unveiling and it really was nice to see them (I remember a very similar image from last Christmas on Facebook?).

But with only approx 3 more months to work on the game before entering crunch/gold master time it doesn't seem a good idea to have 1/4-1/3 of the staff away from the studio!

Unless there is a very good reason for it?

The removal of the video's is because people where making comparison video's of gtsport versus [.....].So Sony probably requested the video's taken down.

In my opinion PD will shock us on E3 with amazing new trailer! :D
I really hope they do, they need to, but I really have my doubts that things can change in three weeks. They were getting new builds each night at the reveal so there seems a lot to do for E3. Plus why save a really good trailer for E3 and give us a naff one at their own big reveal. It's all a bit weird if you ask me, doesn't give me any confidence.

They've had 6 months to prepare this one, how do you think they'll make a good one in just 3 weeks?

What's really odd is that under graphics on their own site the screenshots are so much higher quality why not use the footage they were taken from to make the trailer? I believe those images were uploaded to their site on the 19th?

Hmmm...

Livestream then video ban is not making a great deal of sense to me.

Lets hope it doesn't affect tonight's report (surely it will, right? Would be an odd GTS report with no GTS footage)

Similar was done with Uncharted 4 (and many other games before) after the first gameplay reveal at PSX over a year before release and again comparing final release. Nothing was removed then. So I doubt it is the reason?

I actually prefer a trailer that shows the true nature of a games visuals that way I don't feel burnt when I find out about the downgrades.

The problem is this time they actually showed a trailer that was below the final game quality. I still think the gameplay portions were rushed together on the first private day pre-tests, I can't believe that video was even a week old with those poor shots in it. No way they'd have slipped through otherwise.
