Im going to buy the game on day 1. But some things cant happen anymore. Damage for example. The game proposal needs damage and a realistic one. Sounds? meh... but if other studios with less founds can do it right... why on earth PD cant? Same whit physics... Seems they start thinking in beginners and then in pros... do the oposite, make it the real Racing Simulator and then add aids for the newers...

WAAAAAIT! PD said that GTPlanet will be one of their partner for GTSport publicity, right?

So why the hell they strike the video? This is just bullcrap at the maximum.

Kaz right now, enjoying the sweet meltdowns as the sun rises over Japan

Personally whether the graphics look better than what we saw mean nothing to me at this point. I advise
People to take comments regarding "significant sound improvement" and "better physics" with a pinch of salt for 2 reasons, 1 being that the game could still be a major disappointment. 2, during the event for for gt6 there was a lot of positive feed back to this forum regarding physics and it turned out to not be so great, maybe if I was at this event and enjoyed myself I'd ee more kind to it. There's a 3rd too, this is PDI, after gt6 how do you know that a day before release pd aren't going to announce quietly on their site that the feature you are most looking forward to wont be in on launch day but soon 2 years after release? People have short memories.

Speak for yourself cowboy, it's sitting on my HD in all its glory. :D  Though obviously I'm not going to do anything with it until an OK is given.
Ok, you can now do something with them

What?
PD asked to remove direct feed videos? ... the one's that were creating positive opinions after the disaster trailer and streaming?

My brain can't understand this ... someone please explain this to me.

GTP is in a tough spot. They've built such a great working relationship with Polyphony that culminated in last week's event, and they don't want to throw that progress away (rightly so). So when Sony/PD issues a takedown notice, our guys kind of have to grin and bear it. Of course, if the powers that be were intelligent enough to know that GTP's videos are actually improving the overall consensus of the game, they'd relinquish some of their feverish need to control EVERYTHING and allow it. That's expecting too much, I suppose.

Videos are out there now anyway, I'm sure plenty of people downloaded them and they'll start appearing on other channels. Nothing GTP can do about that of course.

EDIT: Yup, all videos have been re-uploaded on YT. Unfortunately for PD they of course look worse than the originals, re-encoded again.

If you focus 90% of development time on modeling cars(and then scrap them) thats the outcome. Still day one for me ;)
That's to assume that nothing else is getting worked on simultaneously while cars are being modeled, which is not the case.

Nürburgring replay from Gamersyde:
Post another link to that and you will be taking a time out.

We have been asked to take them down, do you really think that posting further links to them is going to help?

This is not open for discussion.

Is there explanation from Sony/PD for all of this? Or I'm missing something?

Well, during last week GTP has been almost a second, unofficiall Corporate Communications / PR channel for PD. GTP released direct feed videos of gameplay the official press release and GT's official website haven't. Eventhough they got permission during the London event to capture the content and the agreement to publish it here, something might have changed. Let's see.

I already saw a great deal of content. Now I'm waiting for E3. I think PD might skip E3 but hey, a bit more info, screenshots, videos and feature demonstrations would be appreciated. :)

This site has been their unofficial PR machine for more than a decade now, whist they never bothered with fan feedback the guys here always tried to hold together the fan base, provide a place where people could discuss their love for the game and where they could actually get info or help about it's issues, all of this despite the overall communication blackout from PD in the meantime.

If anything PD should be very grateful for the existence of these forums as they are certainly aiding them in selling millions of copies for free, even though the quality of their product has been in a downward spiral since 2005.

And now they ask GTP to take down the best videos that are floating around the internet quality wise, and make most of the articles on it's front page look silly as a consequence. Second time they pull a dick move like this (remember Kaz's previous Q&A session and the separate forum that was created for it?). I sure do hope the crew here got spoiled @ the copper box to make up for all of this, as otherwise it doesn't seem worth the effort to keep on promoting this game IMO.

Appreciate the difficult position you guys are in. Can we expect any details as to why the request has been made. Seems a strange considering the good the vids were doing.

I assume Sony and PD wasted too much money - and reception was...underwhelming.

Maybe PD didn't want nor presentation nor public beta because they knew at what state GTS is now. Also trailer was obviously rushed. (not prepared and polished like others)

So waste of money just to satisfy us - fans, who were hungry for new information, then criticized it too much?
