Just played the game a bit and my thoughts are:

1. Initially the game felt numb on the DS4. Very little sense of speed. After a few races, I think I'm starting to get a feel for the edge of performance. I wish there was a more sensitive steering option or that the visual steering wheel effects were more pronounced when driving on the edge.

2. Sound is MUCH improved over previous titles. I'm still fiddling with the volume controls. The noise of other cars gets in the way of my car's egine noise making it difficult to get a sense of when I have to shift.

3. Graphics are top notch. GT continues to be beautiful as ever.

3. UI is top notch as well.

Just brought a PS4 Pro this morning at my local EB Games store.I'm ready

Why does this game look so good? Some of those pictures, especially the cloudy ones, look so realistic that it perplexes me.

This generation has been impressing me a lot from a visual standpoint. It seems like lighting tech has improved greatly, which PD has always been at the forefront.

Man these visuals with a livery editor and photomode are going to be incredible. It's great that we live in a time where video games look like that.

The ones I've got so far:
Nissan GT-R Gr.4: 428HP, 3,197lbs
Mercedes SLS Gr.4: 419HP, 3,120lbs

Both based on the GT3 versions, not the normal cars.
Isn't that GT-R awd? May have to tune the R35 RM as that has awd.

Do we know what kind of percentage offline to online makes up the game, as I have zero interest in online gaming....multiplayer gaming for me is two people in the same room playing split screen, like ive done for over 30 years..
It's an eSports-focussed title, so very little. There are a number of offline challenges - the official website lists 10 'Beginner's School', 35 'Circuit Experience', 62 'Mission Challenge' and 10 'Racing Etiquette' challenges, for 117 events in total - but no real career mode, per se. Without any detail on how long the challenges are, we can't say precisely, but you can guess that the etiquette and school challenges are likely to be as brief as traditional GT licence tests and the others could be 1 or 2 laps of a given circuit.

Wouldn't you prefer a LAN to split screen? :D We've had more than a few of them here in the UK!

No, nothing beats having a laugh against your mate in the same room, as long as there is 2 player split screen etc and arcade just to zoom around on the tracks, thats fine, photomode of course on gt, online can go in the bin for me on any game...:)

Quick question about the timing colors, I know purple is a faster lap and red is a slower lap but what is the blue color mean? Never paid much attention to time trials before

I'm assuming you're meaning the blue things that show up when you pass a sector? That means your sector time is faster than your previous lap.

I thought purple was a faster sector time? Must be that is just for full lap times. thanks
