Gran Turismo Sport Livery Thread and Discussion! (Read Original Post!)

Been hooked on No Man's Sky, so haven't been playing GTS much, but still manage a livery on occassion.

Here is one of my liveries for the RCZ Gr.3. This livery is based off of the Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd Race Car. It took a damn long time to complete, but it was worth it. I may do some Pescarolo liveries for the Group 1 Bugatti.

Quick question about the livery editor.

When I was at uni we used a programme called Ansys for CFD. In this programme you could subtract shapes from one another to create your control volume.

Wouldn’t this be a great feature in GT Sport for creating shapes?

I know we kind of have this where we can just use a decal the same colour as the base car colour, but I’m thinking more for when we use special colours.

1987 Porsche 961 IMSA GTX Race Car #203 (Made from the 2017 Porsche 911 (991.1) RSR GTE).

The 961 itself wasn't too successful, but did achieve the quickest qualifying laps a few times, to my knowledge. I still like the car, though.

Ah, the tricky Devil 13th Racing Car from the early Ridge Racer games. I was deciding either to do dark gray, or the dark blue-like paint job he had in the PlayStation games, but I just went for the dark gray paint job. RNFetchBlobTmp_4gpi6x4n247rbsom27em2j.jpg

RNFetchBlobTmp_16g4lncdseujq8h6sdlm3p.jpg A rough sketch of what a possible Group 3 variant of the LF-LC Vision GT could look like. It really should've had a Group 3 variant, as it's rival, the FT-1, has one, but instead, they gave Group 3 variants to the Volkswagen Roadster and the Peugeot Vision GT, which honestly did not need them. The BMW M2 Vision GT could've also been a good choice to BoP into Group 3.

Basically what a BMW Team RLL Retro livery would look on a Z4 GT3, if they kept the Z4 GT3 around long enough... Who knows. Since the E89 GT3 Race Car is out of commission, BMW may bring the G29 Z4 into the GT3 (or LM GTE/GTLM) World and give it a livery like this. I hope, I hope, I hope.

You don't need to make a post for each livery you make. You can put everything into the one post instead of making 6.

Loving this Clio V6 at the moment. Immediately got inspired to do the Trophy liveries from previous GTs, but I also had a search for some actual Trophy liveries to take designs from. Tried to keep the new designs similar to the old ones so they wouldn't look too out of place. Might be useful if anyone wants to do a Trophy race series or something. I will add more Trophy liveries to this post as I do 'em.

Here are the liveries you didn't even know you've been waiting a long time for...
It's the Tio Ellinas collection!

Tio is the most successful export from Cyprus since halloumi cheese.

He made his professional racing debut in 2010 in the British Formula Ford series, winning 3 of the 25 races plus 2 at Brands Hatch in the end-of-season festival.

He then moved into Formula Renault 2.0 where I saw him take a victory in the season's second meeting at Donington Park.
That's where my first design comes from.
It's obviously required plenty of artistic license to work around the square side-pods but I'm pretty happy with the final result. The photo in the spoiler is from my album here;

After a couple of years competing in GP3, a brief test for the Marussia F1 team in 2013, a year in the MRF Formula2000 Championship, he had a bunch of replacement appearances in GP2 but was unsuccessful.

He returned to Formula Renault in the 3.5 series in 2015 for the Strakka Racing team, claiming 2 wins and 2 pole positions.
Again a little license to move things around to accommodate the Super Formula shape.

Since then he's raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup in 2017 and 2018, winning the championship in '18 despite just one win in 16 races, thanks to great consistency with 13 total podiums.

This year he is competing in the Porsche Supercup for the Momo Megatron Lechner Racing Team. In the 2 races so far he finished 4th in Barcelona and 8th at Monaco. Round 3 is at the Red Bull Ring this weekend.
