Gran Turismo Sport Livery Thread and Discussion! (Read Original Post!)

Hey Guys!

Long time no see. Unfortunately I've been pretty busy lately and didn't have much time to check out the livery thread. But now I have caught up with the thread again and I want to share my newest livery with you.

Hot on the heels of today's Formula 1 season opener comes my first livery for the F1500T-A. As some of you might know I don't create replicas of cars, I rather imagine, what if a certain manufacturer participated in a certain series and how would the car/livery have looked.
Here is my interpretation of how a Bugatti F1 car in the 80's might have looked.
I decided not to paint the car in order to maintain the beautiful carbon fibre of the F1500T-A. Therefore I had to cover the whole car with decals which was way more difficult than I expected - especially around the nose cone. :irked:
The colour scheme is inspired by the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo as is the racing number. Sponsors on the car are mainly french and the french flag is also integrated into the design as a symbol of french patriotism. Of course the main sponsor is a tobacco company as we are talking of a 80's F1 car.
As all of my liveries, this one is fully GT League/Sports Mode compatible as the numbers get covered up.

I hope you enjoy the latest addition to my roster.

Wow... That is... awesome!  Pretty much as I expected if Bugatti went to F1 in 80's . Nice color scheme too. I think it deserves to being put in F1 livery thread, even though it is fantasy livery but it looks like a real deal in my opinion. Well done. 👍

Also, welcome back! :D Looking forward for your livery work in this thread.

Looks very nice in orange mate!
Thanks!

This morning I made a special decal for the front and rear ‘license plate’ :) I googled some reference pictures and noticed what I had, was a bit off.. The decal is pretty close (enough) and fits without having to scale it, which is more luck than skill  Made 2 versions, with and without a black border (for light colored liveries).

How did you create these photos? They are high quality and consistent.

Found the livery editor to be just as much fun as on track action. Here's a few I've done:

From top to bottom:

- 1999 Paul Belmondo Viper (FIA GT)
- 2015 Keselowski Livery on a Mustang Gr3
- 2010 Art Car BMW on an M6 GT3
- 2001 Michael Waltrip Livery on a Corvette Gr3
- 2009 Pescarolo Sport 908
- 2013 VW WRC Prototype Livery on a Beetle Gr3
- 2009 ALMS Rocketsports Livery on a F Type Gr3

Ok I have finally finished the first wave of Destruction Derby cars.

People who have played the games before will know the PC version had different colours for a few cars (I've had to use YouTube to check it) and there were new drivers in Destruction Derby 2. I'm going to remake the new drivers in a way as if they were in destruction derby 1 (have designs as opposed to simple numbers and a different paint work).

Anyway, here are my finished creations.

I estimate a further 10 cars to be made. Every car has yet again got a divisional roof as well

Your work with gradients is amazing

Do you have any tutorial video on youtube?

Thank you for the compliment. I dont have one sorry thats too techy for me I have just experimented heaps is all. I will say that the effect is different depending on the type of base ie dark flake chrome etc. Good luck if you get stuck message me and id be happy to help if possible. Cheers mate.

GTPlanet designers, I've got a question:

Let's say I'm painting a car that, stock, has a carbon fiber roof. When I go to repaint however, the livery editor forces me to repaint everything.

Is there anyway to keep the roof CF?

I don't think there is a way round this unfortunately. Yet not all cars have this problem.
