It doesn't need to be a new layout. It could simply be the existing track with some obstacles placed on it. That's been done plenty of times in past GT games.

It could’ve been created for a Mission Challenge, like I pointed out months ago in I think it was the Master Track list (shortly after the track list got its own Master List thread). So somewhere in this thread. :P

I find GTS' track list to be the worst out of any GT games period (except maybe demos and Prologues). Too many ovals/rally/driving park type tracks and not enough real world and classic original circuits. Out of the new fictional circuits, maybe only Alsace is interesting. The others are all pretty bland Cape Ring esque tracks. Which is a shame because GT6 track list is probably one of its strongest suits. And for me personally, a good track list is top 3 in most important things in a racing game (behind only physics).

It's a weird situation as well because we have a FIA license, but not enough real circuits. And we got ovals but not NASCAR? Lolwut PD?

I really hope track updates come in at least once a month. Otherwise GTS is going to get boring really quick with its small car list, potentially no performance upgrades and non-existent career mode. Most players won't be competitive enough to derive long term enjoyment from the e-sports side, and unless you're into livery editing or scapes you can practically go through everything the game has in less than a month.

Hi,

I completely agree with what you said, nonetheless I really think the "big" content will come later.

That's "logical", they launch the game in October, almost the same time as PC2, Forza 7, compared to the two others GTSport seems light, not as many content (compared to previous GTs as well), and everybody talks about it.

Three sides, 1) the ones who will buy it no matter what is said, 2) the ones who won't buy it because, to them, it's not worth it, and 3) the "others" who are hesitating and waiting "to see more when it's released"...

How do you convince everyone ? You launch a game with less content, the fans will love it anyway, then around Christmas you release a DLC, with some PS4/GTSport bundles, hoping Santa will deliver loaaads of them under the Xmas trees.
Then, just add more and more cars/tracks within a few months to get other players who were already complaining before the game's release, or those who are bored about playing PC2/Assetto Corsa/Drive Club..

I repeat again, but look how "GTA Online" started, and how it is now (4 years after), there are 20x more content than at the beginning, and whether we like it or not, that's the best proof games can be improved over time...

Well problem is PD does not have a good track record with DLC and updates. I think GT5 and 6 only got 2-3 new tracks throughout its whole lifetime? And without the Vision GT project GT6 would have only gotten less than a dozen new cars throughout its lifespan. On one hand it's good because you don't have all this microtransaction bull**** plaguing modern games, but it's an ominous sign if the base game is pretty barebones like GTS.

I'm worry about the lack of season pass and DLCs schedule like the other games. It was OK for GT6 given all the tracks and cars on disc but this GTSport feels so incomplete tracks/cars wise. They must be clear about the future and not let the fans in the dark.

The track count is rather decent, 17 environments and 40 layouts, more than we were promised (compared to only 27 layouts).

An oval, shaped more or less like one of these guys.

I was thinking the bean looked bit like a "lazy 8 or infinity"

Can any of the Yankees around here tell me, is "lazy 8" some sort of branding on a cow? [By the way, I have been drinking]
