Eventually I imagine but most likely in GT7 rather than GT Sport.

Here’s a thought, why didn’t PD add the McLaren F1 GTR to Group 2 rather than Group 3? Group 2 seems like a natural category for GT1 era LM prototypes.

The Short-Tail F1 GTRs were slower than their long-tail counterparts when racing so that could possibly be a reason. It would be nice to have more GT1 era cars tbh, replaying Forza Motorsport 4 they are grouped in the R2 class with the JGTC GT500 cars, so the performance would make for close races.

Still no hints about when the Lexus LFA will be added?

I was pretty miffed when I saw that Forza is getting the Lexus LF-A. They only just got the Toyota / Lexus licence back about 5mins ago and they are adding the LF-A, whereas we have been requesting it for 2 years and still have not seen it.

Is it fair to assume that GT1 era Le Man racers such as the Toyota GT One and Nissan R390 would be added to Group 3 then? Didn’t realise they were that “slow” when compared with Group 2 GT500 vehicles.

I hope not the class system needs some serious fixing.

With GM calling time on RHD converted Holden cars, I think the last we got to see of Australian cars, was GT4 & GT6.

Forza have a good library of current Aussie muscle(Falcon XR8, Commodore models and I believe, the Chevy SS).

I doubt PD will revive the FPV models(F6 & GT) and/or add "the last of the V8" Falcon FG X II and Commodore VF II. I guess for those that can find or own Gran Turismo 4, hold on to that and any copy of Forza with those brands.

GT1 didnt have demo replays like GT2, the ones that play after some time being idle in menu. GT1, with GT6 are the games that feature most returnees. Besides RMs, many of these road cars can come back easily. Lots of time GTO phase 2 and FTO if not the most time appear in intro and credits. Also non R NSX, Griffith, Legacy Wagon and so on.

It could be more GT1 cars like S7R, Murcielago RGT, and so on. And yes, Supra GT500. Maybe new one, or the 2 ones from GT6.

Another crazy checklist by me is the checklist of cars which had unique tires from GT4, based on a thread posted in GT4 section. 5 out of 15, if counting very similar variants. Sileighty can be con be considered done kind of. None of the remaining cars would surprise me.

Since I believe that because of COVID pandemic, 400 cars won't be reached, I think that by 2021 (or whenever content updates end) we'll have around 350 cars. Besides Porsche and Lambo VGTs (could be more than one variants) I will try to predict 12 more, based on some being scanned, or just IMO very relevant cars to series and fanservice ones.

Lexus LF-A - either one or both versions. Toyota just appears in every update, besides 2 last ones and Audi VGT one, and Lexus could service Toyota and be that obligatory Japanese return.
Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - highly requested and sought after in community.
Ferrari 500 Mondial - It was meant to be in GT6 but was axed. I think that its being put on hold.
Nissan GT-R50 Italdesign - Its a GTR and yet unique enough to get added.
Ford Sierra RS500 - a highly requested car, only behind Supra and E30.
Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II - returning standard
Plymouth Cuda - muscle cars are requested and this seems most likely
Toyota GRMN Vitz - its Japanese, bonkers and Toyota,
Mitsubishi FTO - only this and SL55 remain out of Kazonuri Yamauchi owned cars
Mazda RX8 - either the 2007 one, or facelift one
Honda Civic tuned - scanned SEMA car

Starion was said to be scanned 'for next game' if I recall. Also GTO was said the same yet it came in GTS.

EVO VI TME is closest opponent of 22B. Even Evo V would not surprise me, because it has fame thanks to GT2000 at least in fan circles. Evo IV best goes against Type R Impreza. CT9A Lancers should go against GD Imprezas.

For example Evo IX vs Impreza '05, Evo VIII vs phase 2 GD, and Evo VII vs roundeye GD.

In 'GT Sport is now twice the game it was at launch', there are some interesting track files. Especially Deep Forest. TBH I think that DF, Silverstone and Ascari will be GTS content, even if there aren't any files for last two.
