yo grey your getting waaaay to crazy with theses restrictions now things are getting unrealistic just putting that out there we're trying to make things fun not drive people away

I thought so too about those restrictions, but I think its pretty cool to even the playing field.... Make the competition tighter...

I'm out of this series. I spent so much time tuning a car and now I can't even use it. Also I've been kicked out of GTTC rooms multiple times as soon as I join. Sorry guys I just find this really dumb.

Hey man I don't know whose rooms you are joining but I haven't put up an official GTTC room since that last time you joined my game on my track. This is also a reason why I regret even getting on PSN because of certain uncaring individuals that are in it, and I am originally a PC gamer. Why exactly can you not use your car by the way? Because of the power limiter? Don't deck your car with all the weight and engine upgrades then power limit it down because it is not within the PP range, put in parts without limiting.

MrRipe how exactly am I making things unrealistic, the power limiter thing? I can allow it right now but basically it tells me that half of us can tune the cars to the teeth with all the weight upgrades, engine etc., but can not tune it intelligently, just let the power limiter do all the work to stay within a certain PP range.

In all honesty, Ripe tell me what's wrong don't just jump on some kind of, "restrictions are too unrealistic we tryin to have fun" bandwagon. Tell me exactly which restrictions are too out of place.

To be quite honest with you guys, I'd be happy to change the restrictions right now and run Season 1 organizing it by myself, but I probably will not participate in the actual races, seeing that we can not follow simple rules and such, but that doesn't bother me as much as the community being uncomfortable. You guys let me know what is wrong and I'll fix it. This is for you guys, not me. optomus pretty much left me on my own, and I don't want you all to sit around.

As a matter of fact, I'll just allow the power limiter right now, easy as that. You guys go on ahead, go crazy and tune your cars, this 460PP event is gonna be pretty crazy. Get ready for Saturday, I'll be ready to record and stuff, I have an SD capture card just in case.

Oh, and I was wondering on what you guys think about grip gambler battles, for what situations are they best for? Or should we just remove them and stay with the usual cat n mouse running start battles?

I'm for scoRRRp.

Us organisers always do our best when it comes to organising events. Events on this scale is not as easy to organise as you think. If you think it's a piece of cake, go and organise it yourself then!

We always have to balance between different views in the community, there will always be different views. And restrictions are always in play...

F1 rules and regulations changes every year. But when they change, do you see RedBull or the Ferrari team say? That's a dumb idea, I'm out of this! No right? The participants have to adjust to the organiser's rules and restrictions.

Well, there are cases where the organisers are too full of themselves and have too much restrictions and caused people to branch out. That has happened in real life too.
See this article.

But I for once think that scoRRRp is doing a great job in organising this in his own time for the community. And so far, I don't think he has been unreasonable about restrictions.

Thanks Timber, I understand your words very well, I have never organized things like this before to be honest, optomuscrime founded the GTTC and pretty much I have been the one taking care of it (his internet is still out and that is somewhat understandable).

Also Timber, if it wasn't for me keeping up with the GTTC and you staying on top of it with me, I would have actually dedicated most my time being active in your LotS ladder. But I also see that you have adopted some of the GTTC's rules, so the GTTC was not created in vain :).

Yo grey wat time is the tournament this saturday???

If everyone can make it at 5:00pm CST, that is the official time I put up. It may change if some of the teams make an objection, which I am very open to.

Yeah... come and join us, it's never too late on LotS. there's a lot of great skilled and clean drivers. Why restrict yourself? you should come and enjoy yourself as well!

LotS is like.... the illegal side of GTTC!! lol...

The power limiter but I dont mind it.... So if you are going to change it dont do it because i didnt like it...

One rule I dont know about is the two wheels on the course... Sometimes gettin off the course can be inevitable since some courses are very narrow an have some tough hairpins...

Well, the only thing I can say about that is that is why teams will practice, to avoid getting off course. In a real Touge Showdown race, the drivers don't get off course, or if they do, they'll hit a railing but then they have to stop to see what kind of damage they did to the tuning garage's car.

In GT5, for practical purposes this rule can be removed, but then again, it just says that we are lazy and will not pay close attention to the track.

For me to get rid of that rule, we would need more input.

Oh and Lou-E, sorry about the power limiter being allowed man, it's inevitable, there was an extensive discussion on it so now it is allowed.

grey if your gonna be on tonight join my room so we can air out all the rules and have everyone else join in so we can get these rules done i dont like the fact ur doing this solo so ill help and get these rules set a.s.a.pi

Yea I know... Im just saying what is on my mind, that does not mean that you would have to change the rules because of one person... If I didnt agree with the rules I wouldnt have agreed to race this Sat....

Another thing i am saying is that since sometimes its hard not to get off the course even if you know the course very well....

I softened up the 2 wheels on course rule, it was originally optomus' rule, but it makes sense to lighten it up especially since sometimes it really is inevitable. The rule now is to try to keep at least 2 wheels on course at all times, but if people constantly go off course, it could be marked as, "reckless driving" and they auto forfeit.

I would say to add a list of people who race touge and start racing with them. You gotta prove you can run clean and fast.

+1, good way and method. Now... you just need to work out where to find the list of touge racers. :)

OK guys, today is the big 460PP event, show up at 5:00PM CST, each team will bring one car and any team member may drive it. It will be a single-elimination tournament that I will keep track of, all rules apply etc. Any concerns, let me know. When I host the official room, I'll put up the join code in here and on the FB page. I'll be monitoring the thread on and off.

Hi guys, I've hosted an unofficial room with 16 players slot.
