I figured this would be the case. I didn't want to do 30 laps non-stop at Interlagos anyway...
I wonder if some of the lighter MR cars can possibly do a no-stop though.

I picked Mitsu a couple of Manus ago (the one that had Deep Forest Reverse Gr3) and it was a decent Manu back then. Of course that can change in a heartbeat with BoP updates. Unfortunate because at the time it was a good set of cars.
Why would that dissuade someone? Alt accounts need credits, too.

AMG '20. Mediums were roughly 16-17 laps. Not tried the Softs yet.
Its a bit tedious doing 30 straight laps on this track. Its 47 minutes long! Possible some cars could get the no stop done more easily as i'm bad with tire management. For me though the lap times towards the end of the Hards stint were 2 seconds a lap slower than when they were fresh. My practice finishing time was about 10 seconds slower no stopping.

Until this last race I hadn't realised quite how different the available points were. My current best two scores are 88 & 93. My last race I only picked up 56 points for 2nd. The difference is I've slipped from a mid B to a low B.
Seems rather unfair that there's no chance, however well I drive, to get a score even close to myprevious ones. I appreciate it would also be unfair to get the same points for beating low B's as someone else did for beating better B's. If I don't improve my overall ranking by Saturday then the only way to improve my total points tally will be to win, improving my total score by 3, max!
The answer, more mixed groups. Gives lower ranked drivers a chance to outperform their ranking and beat some higher ranked drivers and bag a well deserved haul of points. Some pot hunters might whine about being in a race where they've got no chance of a top 3 finish. Tough, that's the way the real world of motorsport works.

Once again I was the only Chevy in the Americas to get over 200 points, and this time they were definitely enough to NOT go again in Slot 3 and throw those points away like I did last week.

FYI: I am 31st in the general GT3 standing, and top on the rest and I would get 6 million in credits. Hope that helps.
Although I like the reward you receive at the end of a season I doubt that it will enthuse people to get in a lower league just to get more credits. Getting the easy wins is far more a reason, I think. It might be off influence which manufacturer one will pick though.
now to think which car to buy.....

Strategy for the GT2/3 races on Saturday could be interesting. It probably is quicker overall to do the 20 laps no-stop on hards, but some of these cars are absolute pigs on those tyres. The softs likely won't last long enough to be worthwile, but something like a 5H15M may work and give you the grip advantage towards the end - especially when you factor in that B or C drivers are much less likely to drive 20 clean fast laps.

I may be misunderstanding the rules as I haven't turned on the console to see the rewards screen myself, but if you only do this last round for the season you'll get 2 zeros along with it for your final standings. Unlikely to get very far up the rankings in that case, and the rewards are based on your final spot. I suppose it depends who you chose to race with and how many people are in your local area/region.

On the flip side, you only need to be better than one in five people in any of the four categories to get something out of it, and how many people have only done one race or scored badly?
I've not done any at all. If I get 150pt in one race, I'll probably end up top 80% in my area at worst, for 150,000cr - potentially a million if it's also top 80% in the other three classes too...

Race Points - when you join the lobby the game takes all 16 drivers DR points and then works out what points you will gain. Let’s say you are a mid DR player. If you join a high DR lobby then the points will be higher. If you decide to race again but then get put in a lower DR race the points will less then that 1st race.
Championship Points - Your best X number rounds counts to the final standings. In the Official GTWS your best 3 rounds from the 7 races. In practice seasons we either had 3 or 4 races a season so that was best 2 rounds.
With you saying you did your first race yesterday then you will only score in 2 rounds.

I'm glad I still took part in this event despite the above thing. The latter half of the race was pretty alive with 5th to 12th placed folks in battles almost all together. And I was able to be part of it despite being much slower than all of them, thanks to pit strategy differences. I quite enjoyed the battles while basking in the glorious evening sun. The newly announced rewards is icing on the cake.
This event was my personal best example that other folks do reward clean racing (rewarded by at least 6 unfamiliar drivers). I did not recognize any name so I guess no one recognized me either, thus no history between us. I raced majority of them cleanly during the first half of the race and cooperated with faster drivers to minimize time-loss.
Towards the end of the race, the racing started getting dirty between multiple folks, and yet they were all careful to let me pass cleanly while still fighting each other, catapulting me from potential 12th place finish to a 6th place finish. 6 drivers finished within 4 seconds behind me!
6th place is also better than my average of 8th in Manufacturers events.

Glory from winning through seal clubbing is more of a reward than some meagre credits from the lower leagues.
Only in menus. No point having coded walls on the tyres when you can't see your own tyres.
I don't understand why they would need to do this. It takes a year to get from pit in to your box. Everyone has more than enough time to make sure the correct tyre is selected.
Not for GTWS ones as they get the cars for free.

Kind of crazy to think that not too long ago they were charging a pretty penny to purchase credits like this through PS online store. Between this, the lap time challenge and better payouts for grinding they definitely pulled a reasonable about face from where things started out at.

Looking at this again and I was not expecting them to be there as I thought they would back out and fall in line. But that didn't happen. I clearly hit the nose of the car and make a mess of everything. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future as I hate that I ruined this driver's race because I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.

Not much to say for this one. Couldn't get the qualifying time I wanted and spent most of the race driving solo and couldn't catch up to anyone. This season has been a wash. This has been my worst performance season between GT7 and GT Sport combined.

Do you drive in one of these views: Bumper or hood or cockpit? Asking because this kind of incident is the most common incident I see in Sport. One of new posts in Daily Races thread is about a similar incident. I drive in chase cam so I am always aware of anyone trying to squeeze past me. I had once gotten curious and asked this question in a post-race screen after getting pushed out and not retaliating, "what view do you drive in?", but instead of a useful answer, got a comment about moms.
I wonder how to avoid getting pushed out of track from drivers who are unaware of the amount of space they are leaving. I'm not calling these drivers out as it is the game's fault for not giving mirrors. Even a low-poly mirror view is better than no mirrors. Yes, the radar is there but it can sometimes be difficult to multi-task. I've often braked on straights to avoid being squeezed onto the grass.
In one of this week's Daily Races at Watkins Glen, I had a poor exit from T1. So I slowed down and moved out of racing line at T2 to let a driver behind me past. We still had an overlap on the straight after T3 and the car just goes to squeeze me, spinning himself out. Then calls me dirty on chat. Post-race, I gently ask him to check the replay, something like "sorry bro but I did not spin you out. I gave you all the space. Watch replay". That dude probably never watched the replay and probably still thinks that I'm dirty.
