Both currently 1.9 million.
No real chance of improving the Ferrari payout, too many in the pool, but if I can make 1 place in the Chevrolet rankings (extremely doable) - 700,000 extra despite a worse overall performance.
I'm telling you - drive for the underdogs!

It also helps if no one else in your entire county seems to be playing GT7
There's over a million people here for gods sake.

I think it's less for reducing people making accidental mistakes in the pits, and more for trying to reduce the amount of people getting one minute penalties from not reading/not understanding the mandatory tyre rules going in.
Then it's their own fault. We should stop holding people's hands because they can't take a couple of seconds to read the rules.
I mean, kinda. They give you one Gr4 & one Gr3 car. If you're Manu has more than one you have to buy it. Regardless, some will buy them regardless for liveries.

Anyway, not trying to argue.
Neither am I.

I agree with you. Seems like a waste of resources to add. I made that mistake once, looked up why it happened, realized it was right in front of me numerous times and that I should've been paying more attention. I will not make that mistake again (hopefully).

Same just down the road in Berkshire!!. Therefore I declare myself the greatest GT player of all time in the entire town and county

Do you drive in one of these views: Bumper or hood or cockpit? Asking because this kind of incident is the most common incident I see in Sport. One of new posts in Daily Races thread is about a similar incident. I drive in chase cam so I am always aware of anyone trying to squeeze past me.
I drive in hood cam. Chase cam is too far away for me and bumper cam is too close too the track for me to see the sides of my car. I haven't tried cockpit cam so I can't comment on that. I have the radar on all the time so it's not like I'm unaware of anything on the rear/sides of the car. I should have noticed the red indicators on my left side so I could avoid contact. The lack of a rear view mirror doesn't help so I can see why these incidents happen.

In case anybody wanted to look at it, I threw this together based on what people have been posting for the preliminary results so you can see what the prizes are for each league. Interestingly, GT2 and GT3 prizes are the same scale, which I think is odd.

Obviously your total would be different depending on your placements, but was really just to put together so I could compare the payouts between, say all Bronze in GT1 vs. all Gold in GT2/GT3.

Interesting. I’m not going to do it, but as someone near the bottom of DR B in GT2 I could make a lot more credits dropping down to GT3.

I wouldn't do it either. I think the obvious solution is to bump up the pay of GT1 and GT2 leagues.

Please keep me/us updates as AMG is my Manu as well.
Ok so it appears Softs last around 11ish laps. My test run of 11S/19H was exactly the same time as 15M/15H. To be fair to PD, they've hit the nail on the head with this multiplier as i'm so confused at the moment as to what the better strat will be . Its all going to come down to where you qualify and the traffic on the track.

Agree, it is a bit silly that I am making more in GT3 then one would in GT2.
Personally I do not really care about the credits, although I do appriciate the thought by PD, but those who are vivid car collecters might be influenced to drop a league to get more credits for purchasing those. Imo it should always be that a higher league pays out more then a lower league.

Who's gonna punch in tickets to Amsterdam and Monaco with one round left? As it stands, top 11 (Mazda 10th) plus Genesis.
  • Porsche can miss out for the first time.
  • Ferrari at brink of being bumped out of the bubble if their season collapse keeps going.

15 Alfa Romeo 125 -47
16 Jaguar 103.5 -68.5
I'm very biased but I hope Ferrari holds on. Happy to see my local boys top of the pile as well. Sad that the American cars have been so underpar this season, especially Ford. BoP has done them no favours.

The physics change that made the MRs driveable really has worked well. Much more balanced with the FR cars now. The finals should be good viewing.

I used Ford till recently, both the gr 3 and the gr 4 cars were excellent imo, they were fast enough and handled well. That was pretty much gone after the update an BoP change. a bit shocked to see that they are so far down the order now.

Indeed; the MR's are now really nice to drive, was expecting that Ferrari would be higher up the order...

Good stuff!

11RS/11RS/8RH?
14RM/15RM/1RH?

This could get interesting! Will likely have to do some lobby testing tonight to see what's what.

I think I'm set on doing some combination of 2 Softs and 1 Hard stint. The one time I tried to practice a long Hard stint yesterday, I spun literally every other lap, and I don't have much time to practice for this round.

Running it Hards first makes the softs last 3 laps longer on the lighter car. I just don't think stopping twice will be quicker with each stop 27 seconds. Hards with a heavy car are awful. T1 on cold hards is a nightmare.

How are you testing the BoP on the track? I wasn't able to find a way to fix BoP for custom races, time trials, or even by creating an online lobby.

Strategy tomorrow is basically who ever can across the finish line fastest in all 3 leagues. Going to be a very good and interesting race tomorrow I think. So many different strategies. Wish PD did more of these all 3 compound of tyre races.

So done a quick GT1 race but I treated the race like a GT2.
GT2/3 - My strategy was 6hards, 14soft to complete the GT2/3 20 lap race distance. I found the softs towards the end of the 14 laps were still 1 seconds quicker then my 6 lap hards.
No stopper in GT2? I’m not sure? Hards are very slippy I find, plus 2 seconds difference between soft & hard. I’m expecting the majority of drivers to a 1 stop in this race, so if others 1 stop I’ll probably 1 stop too. Also starting position going to be tricky. Top 5 start and starting on hards vs soft runners you will lose positions very quickly.

GT1 - so as I did a GT2 race I did 6h, 14s and 10s. I finished only 5 seconds behind a DR A driver who did a 1 stopper on h/s.

I can see in the background you're currently in an N-class car. Those should have their own BoP still, but maybe it doesn't work in Custom Race. Just change to the Gr.3 car you're going to use and try setting up the race again.

Even if the game did let you set the BoP, you'd quickly discover you're in the wrong car and can't swap cars in a Custom Race, so you'd have to go back to your garage, change car, and set it up again anyway.

That was it! I have never created a custom race in GT7 because I had always heard that the payouts suck, but from looking at it, it doesn't look any worse than the online races pay.

Thanks @GTWolverine

GT2 with the Ferrari I think I'm just going to start on the softs and see how it plays out. More grip at the start should more than make up for the pitstop time loss, especially if others are on the hards. I'm ok with the tyre wear usually so maybe can manage a 12S/8H.

After doing a test run that plan has gone out the window. The 458 slides around so much on the Interlagos Icerink, I can’t take advantage of the softs. Only 1.5 secs at most faster than hards and only lasting 8 or 9 laps. My fastest strategy now is doing the hards no-stopper.

Can confirm this is the fastest strategy on Ferrari Gr3 based on my experience on this combo last time. Also be prepared to be touched from behind leading to a spin.

The Ferrari Gr3 performance on Interlagos and Nordschleife was the reason I switched to McLaren.

As for myself, I am thinking to start on hards and then decide on the fly whether to pit.

I just did a lobby in the McLaren with a few other A+ and went 1H 14S 15S and won pretty comfortably. Forgot to look at the total time though.

No stop hards will be quick too I’d say. If you can manage it….
