Started last place and got podium!

That is very frustrating, because we had very good run. I saw your car jitter while I was very close going on the inside, few seconds before you slowly drove straight out of a corner and disconnected. I watched the replay, I don't think I made contact and it was the game glitching.

I never had steering disconnecting on me (I used a Logitech g923), is it something you experienced before?
Hope to race you again soon.
Yes, it happened for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It seems the problem is the shaft backs off and the internal connector loses contact with the base. I thought I had it solved by replacing the stock C-type clamp with a split clamp design, but apparently not.

Just prior to it happening last night, I lost all force feedback a couple of times and was driving while pushing on the wheel trying to maintain contact, but it wasn't enough. It's a shame as our battle was shaping up to be really good. You can be sure there was no contact and my retirement was 100% due to problems on my end.

A decent result for me this season. Worth 1,950,000 credits.

The best part of the it, by far, was last night's race at Spa. It was hard, clean racing from start to finish in a really fun car to drive. It doesn't hurt that I came out of it with a win, either.

The rest of the season was kinda ho-hum for me. I missed the first round. The second, at SSRX, was the forgettable crap shoot it always is. The third round at Monza was decent, but a lap-1 incident forced me to spent the whole race trying to get back to where I started.

It was all good fun, though.

Looks like we'll have a few weeks, at least, until any new season is announced. That'll give me lots of time to do some manufacturer testing to prepare. See you all again then.

Despite only having 2 scores this series, I pulled in a cool 1.9 million credits, which I need as the Merc depleted my savings that I had been waiting to buy the 20M Alfa, which remains the last car that I need for the full set.

I do wish we'd get a proper season soon. These 4 round seasons are kind of lame, in my opinion. My biggest frustration this season was the massive hit I took to my SR at the SSRX round from bump drafting. At least that gave me an excuse (like I need an excuse) to do over 20 races at Nurburgring in daily A the following week to rebuild that lost SR.

First exhibition series schedule of 2025 is out.

It's Wed/Sat the next two weeks instead of the weekly races they were doing last year, a change I know some of you will like.

Schedule:

1) Sardegna A in Gr.2 minus the '90s Le Mans cars, 18 laps, RM/RS required
2) Red Bull Ring in Gr.3, 28 laps. RM/RS, rain very possible
3) Road Atlanta in the Cappuccino, 10 lap sprint race, CS
4) Grand Valley in X2019s, 27 laps, all three racing tyres required.

In separate news, they are changing the DR formula so that GTWS races count for bigger swings than dailies, and from the next update the DR cap is being raised.

So the GT1 UK time slots on a Wednesday are 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. I have a slim chance of making the 6pm slot but that's otherwise impossible for me.

I've just checked and the article says BST, so it may even be an hour earlier than that for each slot

I was starting to wonder if they were going to start any seasons since there's usually one underway by mid-January. Definitely going to have to shake off the rust later, I haven't played GT7 for a couple of months and my last online race was end of October I think.

Not impressed by those EMEA GT1 timeslots on Wednesdays though. Why are they suddenly making those so much earlier in the working day than before?

I understand they need to strike a balance between multiple time zones so the westernmost and easternmost countries might struggle with the first slot or last slot respectively, but these times are extremely early.

I'm fortunate enough that my work schedule won't stop me from joining the last slot but still not amused.

Well looks like I may as well retire from GTWS if they're going back to Wednesday daytime races. Do they think the userbase is just unemployed kids in their parents basements? What was wrong with the times from last year, with the later starts for people coming home from work?

I give up with PD.

As we're starting a new season and @Pfei doesn't appear to want to participate in the site any more, does anybody want to take over the first post?

I'd make a new thread for it, but I can't be bothered keeping a first post up to date and I don't want to break any functionality for people Watching this thread.

Woohoo! A new season!

I won't be around for the final round, but I can't say I'm too bothered by that.

A couple repeats. I'm looking forward to running those Cappuccinos at Road Atlanta again. I'm a bit disappointed that now that I own a CLK, it isn't allowed in the race at Sardenga.

Not sure what to expect at RBR. I don't think I've ever done any sport mode races there. It is Gr.3, though, so I'll probably get beat up.

It all looks like good fun though. Looking forward to it.

I missed the times of being that unemployed kid
Now I get to deal with a 2-hour class, for an hour drive in and out granted if the traffic's decent. Leaving me to join in the last slot if I'm not that exhausted already
Welp, I'm gonna be out for the first two rounds.

Is that time slot schedule aimed at school kids, and streamers? Because working fathers like me won't have a chance at making those afternoon slots.

I'll do it if you want.

... what do you have to do?
In previous seasons (although this seems to have stopped in summer 2024; April was the last one...) @Pfei kept the first post updated with schedules for the current season, but you can shove whatever information you want into it really. Anything you find useful.

Here's what the last good one looked like, less the attachments:

As long as @Hasnain282 keeps producing those graphics which is what I've used as a reference since about 2019, sure.
It's all yours :D

Feel free to stick the GTPlanet articles in there too, once I write them. Was a busy day with AC Evo yesterday, so I was planning a long kip today.

Sardegna in Gr2. It's been done, but PD have eliminated cars like the CLK. I guess it's good to see they realize so many of the Gr cars don't belong with others. This week's C is an example as it's GrC only; no Hybrids or VGTs. It's almost like some of these sets of cars need their own grouping! What an idea! Looks to be some strat in this one.

I hope there is weather at RB. I know being Gr3 cars there will ruffle some feathers as Nations is an opportunity to use non-Gr3 machines, which is understandable. But this looks like the best of the bunch to me.

Cappuccino at RA... again. Pass.

Was stoked for GV H1 until I saw it was the RB cars. :indiff: PD so obsessed with the RB cars. Give it a break, Kaz!

I got distracted by the thread so I forgot to say - big fan of the switch back to Wednesdays. I kept my shifts at work away from Wednesdays for years because of GT Sport. Two months ago I changed because GT7 was only ever on Saturdays. Thanks a lot Kaz. At least I'll be able to make the last slot.

There was also that one TT where only Group C cars or 90s GT500 cars were allowed (the latter was also a Nations Cup round in 2022).

Another thing to note is Michelin seemingly disappearing from the bottom of the season banner that lists partners:

For comparison, 2024 post-season Exhibition Season 2:

I started the game in Dec/2024. Can I 'rent' a car to join these races, or do I have to 'own' the car to participate?
