Hi there,

Video of my Gold lap (1:53:888) at Toscana for the Grand Tour.

Thanks for watching.

Kind regards

I can't get this car around the hairpins with stopping! This challenge is a pain!

This car stops on me going up hill and I haven't let off the throttle!

Damn traction control! I forgot to turn it off! Much better now.

I broke my wheel doing this challenge today (Probably because I did a marathon on doing all the S license, go kart expert and the whole grand tour in one session).

The force feedback in steering has gone, only seem to have feedback when I crash or on a bumpy road like rally tracks. I felt something give way in one of my attempts.

I was about 2 tenths away from doing this challenge and after my wheel force feedback broke I managed to a 1.53:3XX.

I then did the Miura in Rome event and it felt very strange as there was no force feedback in steering, just resistance. All the feedback I had was from on screen actions but was very easy to do still.

About your video, very smooth and tidy lap, much more controlled than mine. Good shortcut at the end, I must have lost a lot of time there as I go very wide and around the corner. If I only I watched this before doing this event my steering wheel, would have been most likely working properly 👍.

Thanks, yeah had to do a few shortcuts with this time trial..I got frustrated with it to be honest when doing this lap, didn't care much about it and was most surprised when it got gold time.

Mate, sorry to hear about your wheel retiring. I agree that the rally stages have crazy amount of force feedback to wheel. Had my G25 rattling so much it felt like on the verge of breaking apart, even when Force Feedback is backed off to 5 in option. Wasn't game enougn to continue with wheel and risked having to replace my trusted G25. So I actually completed this rally & Sebastien Loeb challenges with the DS3...a much more peaceful drive.

Also, when you get a new wheel and have unlocked the X1, back off the amount of Force Feedback for Vettel Red Bull Challenge....or it might be another new wheel. Crazy amount of feedback as well from X1, especially if straying off smooth tarmac onto kerb or grass or hitting anything. Might be fun to leave feedback amount at 10, but might get expensive.

I did this event with the 6-axis controller and hadn't realized that traction control was set to 5 so the best I could do was 5 seconds off 3 place, it was driving me insane. After I set TC to 0 my time improved drastically but I only managed bronze in this event before I moved on.

It was kind of strange on how easy and how difficult some of the races are in this set of challenges. The F430 and Miura challenges were by far the easiest but the Alfa C8, Toscana Rally, and Murcielago races were difficult with the Murcielago race being the worst, for me at least.

I found the Murcielago race not that hard.
For me the worst was the Alfa, and after this the Focus, since it requires a completely different driving technique.

finished the alfa8c trial after about 5 laps (just a tad below gold), toscana at about the same (about one second off).... lambo@tuscani took the most time. something like fifteen tries - its much easier if you drive by gear change indicator like i do or some people switched on the ideal line which obviously is a lot of help. :D

my final toscana time... 1'49.607 after one hour. :D poor g25. ;-)

i'm gonna give you a piece of advice(IMO)
Turn off TCS as others said
and if you only have DS3, then use L2/R2 for braking/accerating
an can really help you because it is not on/off like X/D buttons
at the first i tried it i got a gold!

I barely passed gold for this course (1'53'9something), used the controller because I can't stand all the feedback from the DFGT.

TC was slow on several sections of the course, there are alot of turns you can cut. His last turn was much much better than mine though. I'll try and upload a replay of my run for comparison.
