In my drunk scientific research, I found that 15sec per lap is the ideal amount of drinking.
Sounds like you need a Foam Dome!

No grinding since B spec at El Capitan in the Minolta in GT whatever it was. I only play 60-90 minutes a day and if it's not enjoyable I don't do it. Life is too short for me to do otherwise. Since GT is the only traditional video game I play and because I've learned through the GT years that it's going to be the better part of a decade before there's another one, I treat it as a marathon, not a sprint.

Ok so i didn’t purchase game at launch , I left it a few weeks to gain feedback from other people whether it was worth it to me , and i’m happy so far.
As of today there are 123 cars in my garage.
Brand Central. 2
Used Car Dealership. 37
Hagerty. 8
Gift Cars. 76
As i have posted earlier i don’t and won’t ever grind the same race or races just to acquire credits to get all the cars within a few months, I believe this game will expand over the next few years , So there is no rush.
By playing the game the way i enjoy , also means i get to enjoy all the cars, and not have loads in garage gathering dust.

I got the bronze on all CE (only gold on a few) and I spend an hour every time I play on the 60 minute spa race for 1.5M. It's enjoyable, so I don't consider it a grind. Tokyo is horrible, and I won't waste my time on it for any payout.

I haven't really been grinding because I have been focused on finishing up the menu book. I have now there are lot cars I want and lots more I have to tune and for certain cars I need dupes. Eventually I will get all of the cars but I am not pressed about it. I probably won't do it every time I play because sometimes I don't have a lot of time to play so I might do some hot laps but got get some credits

Nope, constantly broke, might win 500k here and there, spend it within 20 minutes.

I'm not so hooked to the game to care enough about making huge chunks of cash. I play at most 5-10 hours a week...

Edit: Currently sitting on a 120-130 car garage. Highest value car probably 1 or 2 million, not too sure about that though, I'd have to check.

Not interested in grinding, not interested in owning every car in the car, not interested in trying to accomplish everything in this game in the first six months it is out. I figure that the game is here for the next few years and things will come or they won't. I had the same thoughts about GTS and don't regret anything there either.

I just play and do whatever I feel like doing. If I grab a car like the Gr2 GTR, I can enter races that pay more by default and quickly amass a few million, but sometimes I'll drive cars around the Ring, just for the sake of driving. I don't look for credits on purpose. There's nothing offered in Haggerty that I just have to have. Well.....except for the recent Alfa, lol. If I find myself looking for a reason the keep the disc in, I'll pop in one of the Assetto Corsa or Project Cars games. I did enough grinding in Dirt Rally and 2.0, saving to buy all the cars and max tunes, to last me a lifetime. I don't want GT7 to get that stagnant for me. There's still a lot I haven't gotten around to doing yet.

I run Tokyo with the glitchhawk once a day or so
because I know it will get fixed eventually
grab every thing I like from the used car dealer
and about half of the cars from the legend dealer
if they are cheap enough, nothing over 10 mill

I use the race at Sardegna as a warm up every day, then spend the rest of my seat time having fun and not worrying about Cr. I did the same thing with the BMB race in GT Sport.

Ok after some thought I might have to rewrite my answer. Does doing what you want BUT make your mieage mark every day considered farming/grinding? I race and nothing what I said before has changed but I did notice that I do hit my mileage mark everyday (and get those glorious tickets). Thoughts?

Pretty much have the cars I want. Do about 2-3 Le mans races for parts for cars I'm building(bought 433; 60% collected; 50mil customising & tuning) and setting up Custom Races to see what work. Think I amassed around 150mil? Just checked. Nearly 160mil.

I would not call that grinding. In my mind, it’s doing races you wouldn’t otherwise do for the sole purpose of banking the credits. I’ve done races I didn’t really want to or wouldn’t have chosen to progress in the game, but I think that’s different than choosing something with a high payout simply for the credits.

This has been interesting to see the replies and votes. I would not have guessed grinding for credits was as popular as it is.

I am not sure if "popular" would be the right word to use (though I am not a native English speaker). But I think a lot of people have given up on it, and adjusted to the fact that you need to do a lot of races, time trials etc. to get the money to even be able to buy some of the "dream cars" in Brand Central or Legend Cars. During the menu books, licenses etc. you get a lot of gift cars, but most of them are the low PP, little exciting options. Except when you're interested in some very specific collections (IDK, all Nissan cars or something like that.) So, basically, I think most people see it as an unwelcome, necessary need. Plus, then there are those who just really enjoying racing and getting better at their races every time they go for it. ;)

Nevah!

Gt7 isn’t a game you can, “win,” by collecting them all. So, why bother. I buy what i need/want, when i need or want it, and usually have about 10mil.

I grinded until I bought all the cars. Now that I own them all, I'm not inspired to grind any more. I'm really not inspired to play the game that much anymore. Sport is okay, but after running the same race a couple times, I'm done. Time Trials? Why bother?

Same. For me there was a period of about a month after I finished grinding and got all the cars that the game felt almost new again and I could enjoy it much more without any concern at all as to the payout for whatever I chose to do. It felt rather freeing to be able to just do whatever. I did a lot of circuit experiences, time trials, trying different cars and tunes at races I hadn’t done since week 1 doing the Menu Books and then Golding all license tests I only had silver for. That quickly wore off and ever since I have only logged on for about 2 hours per month, the day of a content update, simply to acquire all the new content and perform the new engine swaps and mod/give a quick tune to all the new cars.

There really isn’t any motivation to continue playing single player after you have all the cars, duplicates of the ones you want modded to the max and have all the engine swaps done. I’m not into Sport Mode at all, don’t care for lobbies of randoms and there’s no real incentive to do drifting or time trials or anything else in single player mode.

Personally, I don't see a reason to grind. I'm at the point where, if I put in the effort, I can consistently silver time trials. I can usually get a bronze on the first try. Also, there's still Circuit Experiences I haven't done. I'm in no rush. As far as I'm concerned, I got 5-6 years to get every car I want and I already have most of them. I play almost daily, so I should have them before then. Even if I had all the cars in the game, I would still play the game. I got the game to drive, not collect cars.

Not manually ;)

My goal is near impossible if I try to do it manually. Essentially, an Animal Crossing completionist style of collecting. Anything that can't be bought at any time (through the catalogue in AC, through Brand Central in GT7) must be in storage/garage. This, for me, includes every livery. Yes, I need to collect every livery of every car in the UCD and LCD. Not for Brand Central though, because they are available at all times. I only need one of each of those, both for the sake of actually collecting it, and to use in custom race grids.

Do you know how expensive this is? I don't. I don't want to know. And I'm never going to grind that much. I would rather eat my disc.

I'm grinding, always .. Often I have the problem how to use the credits in order to not go over the 100m cap and let the difference to P.Digital .

My target is TO avoid to have less than 90÷95 Mio, I buy a 20Mio car ONLY if I have a minimum of 95 milions...(.. of GT credits)

My old saves of GT5, GT6, and GTSport are all with the maximum credit, allowed, saved.
