Group C Endurance League Starting Saturday January 4th, 2025, Open 7pm, Qualifying 8pm, Race 8:45pm Eastern USOpen

Just asking but instead of increasing the length of the season why not drop one of the Watkins Glen or LeMans races both of which are there twice??
Because I want on the both on the schedule. IMSA raced both layouts for Watkins Glen in the same season. Evidence of this from the fact that the lap record for the current Short track layout is still held by a Group C era Jaguar XJR-14 set in 1992.

As of for Le Mans. While the race is held once a year. The addition of the 2 chicanes on back straight occurred during the Group C era. The last race with the chicanes was 1989. The chicanes were added for the 1990 race. Because apparently the cars reaching 250 mph on the full straight was considered too fast. Both FIA WSC and the Japanese home series stopped running GT cars together with the Group C prototypes. So they were both the last cars to race full straight and the first cars to race it with the chicanes.

Also multiple races at the same venue and or layout is allowed.

It was more pertaining to the length of the season, now over 4 months if races are held every weekend, but I digress, I understand, I guess.

The season spans 6 months. I do plan in off weeks. I don't want to host a race every week all year. To the host that do good for them.

This is the schedule I looking at currently. Nothing is 100% set. I may still move some races around or adjust some race lengths.

Anyone who has something that may interfere with the races you picked out. Please inform me as soon as possible. And not the day before the race. I will not move around a races last minute.

I have made some changes to the schedule and race lengths. Suzuka was shorten as I'm disappointed with it's night setting. And I have lengthened Interlagos to a 90 minutes race and the Tokyo East race to a 2 hours races. I moved some of the moderate and long races to dates following a break to allow more time to be focused on preparing for them. Once again please alter me as soon as possible if you can't make the selected date of your track picks.

Oh one major thing I'm still heavily at work on is a tire wear setting. That big update really changed the wear differences between the 3 dry tires and the wets. While I did find a setting I liked for that worked with all 3 dry tires didn't work for the wets. I'm considering eliminating one of dry tires mostly hards as a choice. I may have found a setting that will work for softs and mediums. Currently still testing it.

Why eliminate one of the strategies that one can possibly use to win a race by dropping the choice of hard tires???
Because the wear setting I currently looking at Mediums would last too long. No one would need to use them. I still might go back to the that other setting anyways but, even I think the tire wear was too for softs and wets. And I'm big fan of high tire wear. Makes for better racing and more drama in my opinion.

Hey guys a heads-up to all 5 Group C cars are available in the Legends Dealer again. Likely for this week's limited time event. If you still need a car or wish to test out the others. Now is your chance. I recommend the Porsche or Mercedes-Benz for those who are unfamiliar with prototypes. Though be aware they do lack straightaway speed compared to the Jaguar, Mazda, and Nissan. Also remember this series will run without BOP.

I have the intentions to eventually post performance characteristics details for the 5 cars in the forum but, admittedly it's not my primary focus. So I don't know when I'll get around to it. Also I'm a controller driver. So my feel of their performance may not not translate to wheel drivers.

I know I said I probably won't host in December but, I free this Saturday. And I'm pretty much done with testing. Just finalizing a few things. So who would be interested if I host something last minute for fun?
