ew, I know one that I don't respect and wished they'd never made their appearance, but none the less revolutionized a genre of music......

nsync

Michael Jackson, He is truly creepy. But I remember flying down the road with Thriller on the car stereo.
Maybe, cuz Eddie VanHalen played the intro to "Beat it".

Nsync revolutionized nothing. New Kids on the Block were around 10 years before them, and someone was probably before them.

Nirvana revolutionized grunge. Sure there were grunge bands before them but Nirvana brought grunge to the top.

off the top of my head

The Damned - they recorded what is widely recognised as the first ever punk single, they may not have been the first punk band, i think that was probably the Anti Nowhere League...?

The Prodigy - Tell me they didn't open an eye or two

Fun Lovin' Criminals - White men can sing!

Alanis Morrissette - the original angry young woman

Nirvana - nuff said

Faith No More - Where do i start?

Midnight Oils - Thank you Australia! No truly, nice one guys!

Motorhead - Thrash metal pioneers

Slipknot - ??? not sure about them, but the annonymity thing is novel

Hmmm, gunna go browse through my CD collection

Well, actually, NO. The Residents were playing their live shows in tuxedos and giant eyeball heads at least 20 years before Slipknot was ever heard of.

Ok, give you that one neon.

I've seen the all dress the same thing before but not to the point where people actually abandon their identity completely...

Hmm have to take a look.

The Residents are cool. Really cool. It's not surprising you've never heard of them, though.
