Grudge Match: B13 Nissan Sentra SE-R vs EJ/EH Honda Civic Si

I wasn't talking about building a race car for a series. I was just referring to modifying the car at a typical enthusiast level. The potential is there, and a Civic has more of it without getting into extensive suspension modifications.

Like what? It wouldn't be any different for the B13 than the Civic as far as suspension mods go.

My cousin owned a Sentra SE-R of that same generation, black with silver, it was a very, very fun car to play with. I could not say a thing aboutt he EJ/EH civic because we never got that, Honda came to Mexico just whe the EK was instroduced, and as we all know, it was a much different car. As such, I'd get the SE-R.

There is one near work just parked out in the street, black with a silver stripe, a rollbar, recaros and hood pins, lowered. I have never found anyone who can give me info about it, but damn it looks awesome. Perhaps a regularity rally runner? I want it.

Al tough I think I'm with Fred here, I'd say the GSR Integra would have been a better comparison for the SE-R.

The GS-R had 30hp more, however. Magazines of the era were reporting around 15.2/15.3 on the quarter mile for the GS-R, which is damn near close what a current Civic Si will do bone stock.

It's just a shame they're so hard to get by these days, because I'd buy one in a heartbeat. It's a modern classic of sorts, just like the SE-R.

Double wishbone > Mcpherson strut and 2 inches of rear suspension travel on a stock one.
