I'm worry about some info i'm being reading these early moments; But for me GT5 sound more like GT 4.5.

I'm refering about the old tracks and cars.

I know is 65% done but I think is a bit late to be 65% complete.

Also we should see new features and cars, but how much 20% ????

Excuse my english...

Thread needs to be closed... Must... not... POST... *biting tongue* Flame..... War... immanent!

Features GT5 will have, that GT4 didnt:

- Online
- Damage (visual and mechanical)
- visual tuning
- drift events
- new Physicsengine
- more cars
- NASCAR and WRC
- GTTV
- better visuals
- photomode with 8 mega pixel pictures (source: NeoGaf)
- Youtube video upload
- pit crew

Possible changes:
- weather
- day and night cycles

Well sounds enough for me. PD does not have to change everything, since GT4 was good and GT5 just improves on certain things.

You were reading the wrong things or not enough.

I dont see how it can be called GT4.5

I'll add

- Ferrari
- Lamborghini
- Bugatti
- Cockpit view
- more then two times the amount of cars on track
- Vehicle rollover
- Properly modeled hybrids and electric cars
- Real Formula 1 car
- Ability to turn off ABS
- Realtime adjustments to TC etc
- Improved collision physics, no more bumper cars

I would like, day and night cycles, variable weather. This details I remember playing a game in DREAMCAST that had these features, long time ago. I think the game called Lemans, but not sure; It was a good game. I dont understand why PD take so long time to incorporate that feature.

Visual tunning is new to me; what is ???
Nascar is exciting???

Fixed.

Seriously.

This.

GT5 is like GT6. GT5P, while lacking, was like GT5. The first GT game on a new console is usually lacking in certain aspects... lower amount of cars, no dramatically new features, etc.

Please lurk more threads before posting. All your questions can be answered in the desired thread. And no, it's not GT 4.5. I can't even call Prologue 4.5 because it's totally different from GT4. Graphics, cars, physics.

And check the GTPlanet's news page. It even talks about day and night cycles.

KY

We can implement day and night cycles if we wanted, we just want to know if it would make GT5 better as a whole.

i understand what he means by 4.5, we're getting a s***ton of the same cars, and the same tracks. But i think it adds enough to ne GT5;

b

I want empty plastic beer cups to blow into the track by dynamic wind and be picked up on my NASCAR's front grille, forcing my car to overheat and lose me the race. I WANT REALISM IN MY SIMULATOR, WTF PD.

The way that I could see it as GT4.5 is from the GTPSP car list. You'd assume that a large percentage of these are on GT5. There are VERY few cars on the list from the past 4 years. I know that a few cars like the Ferrari 458 have been shown in the last few months but I'd be suprised if there are a lot of common cars from the last few years. Also, I must've missed the video with improved crash physics. I'm yet to see a video where the computers vehicles respond to contact the same way that yours does.

950 is not enough. Nope. Too many of the same cars from GT4

Seriously though, every car will feel brand new in GT5 thanks to the improved graphics and cockpit view. Personally I can't find a way to complain about PD including all the GT4 cars in GT5. I expect GT5 to have 15-25 Ferraris and 15-25 Lamborghinis. That's 50 new cars to the GT series right there. Besides some obvious choices like the SSC Ultimate Aero, Peugeot 908, Audi R15, the Koenigsegg CC etc etc I can't name alot of cars that came out since GT4's release that deserve to be in GT5. Maybe some car freak can, but I cant

As for collision physics, even if PD perfected it the critics would then start complaining about skid marks. After that reverse lights.

...except that reverse lights and skid marks don't directly affect racing; car bumping does. I can't complain too much because as I've said, I'm buying the game anyway...I have since the first GT and I'm a playstation guy. It's just like Madden. I buy it every year even though it seems to have obvious mistakes in it and things that are purposely programmed into it to make it annoying and unrealistic. To be completely honest, if a game had GT's innovation and more realistic racing with less cars or features on PS3, I'd have to get it instead. As with all games, new features and little gimmicky things are only cool for a short while. In the end, replayability comes down to gameplay. Before GT, everyone accepted what racing games were. Something could always be around the corner to take GT down just like GT took everything else down. 95% of what matters to me is car selection, course selection, graphics, and accurate race simulation. GT has the first 3 covered so I will be disappointed until all cars on the track react equally to impact but like I said, I'll still buy the game. GT5 will actually annoy me more than previous GT's if severe damage is implemented yet it still seems like you're a paperclip driving around with a bunch of boulders.

Last time I checked when you rammed an AI car from behind in the GT5 Tokyo R246 videos it spun out and crashed

Oh no, let's not take advantage of the mammoth size of a SINGLE BluRay disc and put every car and (wish list) every track that has ever been in a GT game. NO LET'S NOT DO THAT. See, this is how a frickin PSP game comes in just under 1GB and has double the cars of a full blown console game restricted to technology from 2000, being DVD9.

Well, the thing is that making the tracks takes time.

Then took a look at another set of game features that he says make Gran Turismo what is today a reference in the world of driving simulations. Arcade and story modes are the same as previous versions, but taken to the next generation. That is, new graphics, new physics, new details. In the shop there will be many parties to improve your cars. The creator was particularly proud of this facet of The Game. We commented that he can change almost every imaginable piece of the vehicle. Not just the typical sections of the engine, brakes, etc. ..

The more details coming out the last days, the more I think that GT5 will be the definite racing game! Seriously,I´m getting scared from that game... I can´t even imagine how much work this game was for Kaz and his team...

So I start thinking "only 5 years for all that"

I mean, I have a own Website and I´m working since 3-4 months on that... And it´s so hard and a lot of work to even make a little banner...

I know they are a big team but respect for that...
