I just moved up to 31st in world with a 1:32.0xx i know i can get to a 31.7 or 8 dont know if i got anything for 1st in world with the 31.4 though.

I need some sleep, I had a few low 1:32's lined up by the look of my ghost, but I couldn't finish the last few turns without a cone tap on exit. That bumper camera is really deceiving, you think you are clear them "bump" you hit a cone f*#&!

Haha, actually now A7XMaverixk just posted a 1:31.567 to edge out and take the top spot.

Yeah he is fast, I'll give that to him.👍 He is using a wheel for the time trial, so the guys using the wheel will be quicker.

Man this little Z is a monster when going around corners. Everytime I give it full throttle or just tap the gas, I want to drift like a fat kid wanting cake. That's one problem I having with the car to achiving a lower time.

I'm sitting at 1:35.240 at the moment, so i'm sitting pretty, for awhile.

Easily the most fun car yet, but can't believe there's already another 4 tenths sitting on the track. I struggled just to get the 1:31.804...this is going to be a brutal couple of weeks fending everyone off *trying* to stay in the top 32 :P. A7X already laying the smack down on the rest of the us!

Crazy fast times indeed! Got to my goal for tonight of getting down to the 32s with a 32.9, 36th on the US at the time, now my global goal is to shave 1 second out of that time. I'll be happy to post a 31.9 before the competition ends, not bad for a set of busted crappy Standard Fanatec pedals!(brake only goes up to about 65%)

I feel the exact same lol. Im sitting at a 32 flat knowing i can get to a 31.7 or 8 but 31.4 is gonna be hard to get too for me.

Is there anyone posting on this site who is registered as a US player but not playing in the US? I'd heard that topic discussed earlier in this forum.

I have only completed the first 2 weeks of events. But from my understanding i only need to do round 5 of the the 8th week event to attempt to qualify? I wont get back to my PS3 until the 23rd of June the day before this ends. So do i need to do they all or just week 8 round 5.

You need to at least bronze them in order to participate in the final round.

I finally broke into the 1:31 bracket on 8-5 ran a 31.945 which for now is 9th in USA but im sure i still need to get another 3 tenths or so to feel a little better about my chances.

I am stuck at 1:33 dead for today. I am turn for turn with the top time until the corner at the end of the first straight away after the main straight. Then everything comes apart. I cannot seem to get the car rotated so I get drive out of that corner. Then at the uphill s I never seem to carry enough speed. The second to last corner is really killing me. I am loosing about .3 seconds on that corner alone. Then the last corner I am ok. I am glad I at least have the first section down.

After watching some replays of the top ten cars, I noticed most of them aren't driving precisely, rather, it looks like they're just winging it around every corner in a controlled slide.

I am glad I at least have the first section down.

I wish I could say that. The second and third sector I've almost perfected, but I loose about 1.2 seconds in the first sector. The double chicane really bothers me.

I know me personally on exits of the slower turns i downshift to 2nd just to get car to rotate then give good amount of throttle to help it rotate and then short shift to 3rd gear seems to help with the rearend happy 370z on exits

I got up to 254th, which I guess is pretty crap. Still can't get that elusive leaderboard appearance.

Ditto.

I think I am discovering my normal driving style is not best for hot lapping. I will try downshifting to get the rotation and then up shifting a little early to get good drive out.

My next question I guess would be about at what brake level should I be to start trail braking to get the car to rotate? 50%?

Edit: It is so funny watching my lap. At first is all like "Wow this is going really well. Apex. Apex. Throttle out. Perfect exit." Then I get to that middle and final section and it is like "Who is this terrible driver? Why is he off line, sliding?"... Ugh.

I would argue that controlling a slide is driving precisely. You definitely have to throw this car around a bit in the tighter corners to get it to rotate.

1:32.5xx for now. I got at least a half second left in me with the controller. My overall goal for GTA is to get a top 1000 in all rounds. So far I'm doing really well with that.

I actually think this is a great car / track combo for deciding the 32 going on.

A7X is setting some great laps right off the line. What really shocked me is I was racing (following) twissy on sunday only to find he's P1 in GTA only a few minutes after he left the race :scared:
I have know clue were I'm ranking yet, it says 16 (with a 32.40 on a DS3) but all the times are outdated. Thinking mid to low :scared: 30s will be close to the fast times.
Going to see if I can race my own DS3 time with the wheel.
