I'm not sure what they race at the finals in real life as I have never been there, but I do know that they have used those cars in the past in the virtual part of the competition and so I do plan on using one of those in a combo as well.

Matter of fact, it sounds like a good event in which I could give away a specially designed wall clock as a prize. I make and design custom wall clocks (graphically design as in the clock face, not the actual clock), among other things, in real life as a bit of a hobby so this would be a great opportunity for me to design something as a prize to the winner. Let me mull on this a bit and see what I can come up with.

That's fine....I wasn't looking for proof of your lap time, just a video for the rest of us to use as a learning aid of sorts. 👍 I know who you are and know that you are more than capable of running great lap times (alien) so there was never any doubts of your lap time so my apologies if I offended you in any way.

Thanks 'squeegy, appreciate the video, very helpful. And yea, I'm very appreciative that there has been so much interest in this so far, great to see.

Great use of track boundaries, using every inch of track while keeping it legal, epically done.

EDIT: Just threw away a .225 improvement by running wide on the last turn. At least I have some since of direction now though thanks to your video. 👍

What is a good way to tell if you are quick enough for Gt academy? Is being in top 100 on tt a good start?

Yea, I would say that's a start, at least. To put it in perspective, when I go all out in a Seasonal TT, I'm usually around a Top 30 driver.....however in the Academy finals, I'm around a second off the pace just because of most of the aliens showing up and its just tougher competition in general. So, if you're looking to be a finalist, I would say you still have some work to do, but you're close and off to a decent start imo. I myself have improved quite a bit over the last year, but I still think its going to be tough for me to be a finalist for my region. (top 32 I believe for NA)

But yeah, I guess in the perfect world PD would provide us with event generator... I mean how damn hard can it be naah, really nice challenge thought and definitely something different for a while, these 600pp TT's are getting bit boring I have to admit, so thank for this Mitch, keeping things alive and interesting

1.15.550 Not bad for someone who's never tried this stuff before I guess. Not sure how you guys are going so fast on this. I can't seem to gain any, I just repeat my same times over and over again almost exactly.

Yah so far I am consistently in top five for Canada. It's only the top four in Canada that make it. I can only hope that it holds throughout the academy. Practice practice practice and then repeat. Lol
