G27 and g25 will both work for ps4 now. Check out ricmotech they sell adapters to make them work. They also have one that will make them work with Xbox one.

1:13.024

Driving without a 102.5 fever is much easier
Still not fully recovered from the flu though :(

I think I still have a few tenths left but I'm gonna give it a rest for now.

How is your G27? Do you feel significantly faster? Because your time is saying so.

I think it's a lot easier to turn the wheel the way you want. The DFGT felt pretty wobbly when trying to hold it steady or turn slowly. The problem is that the brake pedal is a lot stiffer and takes longer to press down all the way since I haven't gotten used to it yet.

It's helped a bit, but it's not life changing. Easier to be smooth, but not easy.

I did say that I can't drive fast cars, right? This car is slow enough that my mind can keep up with it. FGT's on the other hand...

1:13.000 flat after finally discovering how to slide the car effectively through the second to last corner. The 2nd-3rd corner complex is still giving me headaches!

Had a quick half hour. Good fun actually! Thanks for the challenges @GTP_CargoRatt

Hey guys, I have put some more thoughts into this series, and here is what I have come up with. Including this event, there will be 5 weekly time trials with a 6th and final, winner take all event...6 events total. To be eligible to compete in the 6th event, you must participate and place 10th place or better in each of the first 5 events. The 6th event will be the final, winner take all event. Car and track has already been decided upon but I will not be releasing that information until that event starts. I will be awarding a prize to the winner of the final round which I will ship to wherever the winner lives. The prize will be a yet to be designed, custom made wall clock to commemorate the winners accomplishment in this series. It is for this reason that I will be asking for a replay from the winner of that final event. The replay will be closely analyzed as I have the ability to dissect the replay data and look for any and all signs of cheating, the same way I did in a few online Seasonals a while back where I was able to tell a few certain individuals were indeed cheating. I just wanted to put that out there so everyone can pretty much rest easy knowing that there will be absolutely no cheating tolerated in that final round. As for the first 5 events, I am going to continue to rely on the good members of this great community to continue to keep things honest here and not resort to cheating as I simply don't have the time to go through and check everyone's replay data against cheating. However, if I do see a time that does look suspicious, I will have no problem in asking for a replay from that person so that I can analyze it. If that person refuses to hand over a replay, they will be disqualified from participating any further. The same will hold true for the winner of the final event. If they refuse to submit a replay, they will be disqualified and the win will go to the second place person, barring they submit a clean replay. I'm just trying to keep interest up here with this and also include the winner with a little prize. If there are any questions/concerns, please don't hesitate to ask. I will be starting the design for the clock tomorrow and when its finished, I will include a photo of it in the OP.

Thanks again to everyone participating so far and look forward to keeping this a fun, fair, and enjoyable learning experience for all.

EDIT: My participation and lap times here will not effect anyone as I will simply skip over myself when it comes to who finishes in the top 10 of each event. If I get in the way, just pretend like I'm not even there.

Couldn't resist another go before bed :gtpflag:

Edit: the 12.699 although very good, is well outside the lines if we're saying anything outside the red and white rumbles is illegal.

@RacingLine appears twice in the leaderboard.

Fixed...Thank you. 👍

@Growling "Two wheels must remain on the track at all times...rumble strips are considered part of the track." WRS rules which I am going by. :) Not sure how you are considering his lap of .699 is outside the lines (dirty) when he didn't even post a vid of it. :odd:

@Giorgio_57 You're fine, nothing to worry about. 👍

Well, after careful, and I mean CAREFUL, study of @Giorgio_57 's replay, I see where I'm losing all of my time now. I cannot stress enough, if you are having trouble, how important it is to really study the top guy's replays. You can't just watch it a couple of times, you have to really study it. Carefully watch his lines especially because sometimes the most subtle of things can be missed or go unnoticed. Also shift points, both up and down. How he is working the throttle and brake inputs. I also go and set up certain points on the track as speed traps to check my speed against his. (shadows, lines on the track, apexes, ect.) I say all this because like I said, I figured out where I was missing my marks at and had an improvement of over .300 but botched it up by running wide coming out of that last damn right hander. At least now I know though, now its all about getting it right and bringing it all on home. So, no improvement as of yet, but very happy I have figured things out now. Just gotta get it done now. Thanks again for the replays guys, much appreciated.

Sorry, the lap I was referring to was mcsqueegy's lap in the yellow car.

Sorry also for misreading the rules. I don't think we'd get away with these limits in GTA. I should be able to dip well into the 12's if I'm allowed to run my outside wheels well over the curbs 👍

Its great you put this together Mitch.

I thought I would jump in before the 1st event ended. I managed a 1:13.420 tonight.

Just now found the videos in the thread, can't wait until tomorrow to give it a try with my new found information of where I am making mistakes.

Like I said, I'm not trying to create anything official here nor am I trying to duplicate any past Academy event. Just some friendly competition here to fill the time until the official Academy starts, that's all. The rules I go by are from the WRS which for the most part are universal as far as track boundaries go. As far as what is allowed in the Academy, here is some screen shots of Tidgney's video and the video itself. I have also included a link to Immortalpilots video. In all examples, you can see that there are spots on the track where only two wheels are needed and is legal. This pretty much goes with what I am allowing here. I do not and will not, get into some huge debate over track boundaries. This will be my last post on the subject. If you disagree with what I am allowing here and are afraid it will cause you to get into some bad, unwanted habits, then simply don't participate. Again, I am not trying to run some official event here, just some fun competition until the official Academy begins.

Fine by me, I'm happy with that. Should get a nice chunk of exit speed now
Hehe, I guess the track limits are pretty much the same in GT academy that they are in TT's, but if this were GT academy there would be some cones placed in really nasty places that will DQ you for touching :D really epic fun :banghead: 🤬 :banghead: 🤬 :banghead:

Ok, took another look to those replays and got down to 1.13.186
