GT Academy Cars On Share.

This thread is for anyone needing to borrow the 2012 GT Academy cars for the weekly special events. I have all available cars on share. Send friend request to my alt. account, GTP_CargoRat. Please leave a note as to what the friend request is for as I don't add blank friend requests. Thanks and enjoy the cars.

Great! I lost the Silvia after a game crash and corrupt backup (won't be doing that again!) Friend request on the way. Also is it ok to tune shared cars or does it affect any tuning you've done to the car? I've never needed to borrow one before.

Yes, I know there is one there. I put one here as not everybody is a trader or visits the trading forums so, beings this is the Academy forums, I put it here and also put one in the seasonals just to get more exposure and let more people know.

@ mac: No, whatever you do to the car does not affect it in any way for other users so go ahead and do whatever you need to do to it.

Due to just now being informed that it is possible to lose your cars to the "borrow glitch cheat", all of my cars will be coming off share. Sorry to everyone who is honest and just wants to legitimately borrow the cars, but I don't feel like losing my cars to some low life thief that wants to cheat his/her way through this game.

It's not possible. The cars are in your gamesave. If someone else uninstalls their game data file it cannot affect your gamesave.

And you can't borrow glitch the GTA cars anyway.

I appreciate your knowledge Famine, but I just don't feel like taking the chance myself. If you can physically show me otherwise, its simply here say either way. Again, not meaning to doubt you or your knowledge of the game, but I would need proof of what you say to be able to rest easy about sharing these cars. I mean, with hackers being able to pull off what they do nowadays, anything is possible.

They would have to come to your house and delete the cars from your gamesave. Your gamesave isn't actually online - and if you have it backed up (like you should), doubly so.

I can't prove to you it can't happen - you cannot prove a negative. But bear in mind there's no proof it can happen, no mechanism for it to happen and the only reference to it happening is a guy who hates the borrow glitch. You should be seeking proof it can happen - but there's no possible mechanism for it!

Ok, I get what you're saying and yes, I backup my game on a nightly basis so no worries now. I completely forgot about my USB stick, lol. Guess I was in such a panic at the thought of losing my cars that I forgot about that option. Thanks Famine, your alright, I don't care what others say about ya, lol. jk. Peace.
