hehe ;)! It's what happens when I get a bit of time :P! Fortunately weekends means I can get an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening rather than a limited 0 mins - an hour in the evening on a weekday :P! That morning sessions just lets everything sink in for the evening :D! Same thing happened last week jumping from a .3 to a .1 :D! Mentally though that barrier is annoying so it is a great feeling to break it as I know like myself alot will have the ability to get there, and have the sector times to do it, but it's always nagging away when you just miss out on it!

Yay 16.998!! Finally hit my target with 7 days to go :D! Been on it in this hour of playing I've done, absolutely all over it, wasn't even my fastest sector 1/2 or 3!! Was ahead of Ti-tech in sector 1 on a few laps previous and hit a ton of .1's so! So I guess now just little improvements, but I'm totally buzzing now!! Similar feeling to when I got the x2010 on a pad all that time ago! May have woken a few people up/scared the animals but happy now haha!

Ahead of Ti-tech's on T1?

What's the deal with this one, i'm taking all the tips i can get, i'm instantly losing one tenth on the first turn and also at least two on the loop.

I've tried pretty much everything but i guess my brain is messed up and i keep doing the same (wrong) routine everytime.

I should be in the 17'5 - 17'3 by now, but i keep messing up T1.

I have never seen a 37'7 split, 37'8low is the best i can get.

Yes, i've watched your videos, but i'm still trying to grasp on how to do the braking like Ti-Tech does.

For the first corner, just use a dab of brake (about half the meter) whilst turning in, this should achieve the right turn in. You should aim to brake at the start of the green kerbing on the outside of the track 👍
 
To be honest with sector 1 you've got to build up to it. Abbey is one where as bandit has said you brake turn in, try stay on the limit of grip and just continue through. When I get to village I brake knock it down to second while also coming off the brake to initiate a 'slide'. But before I hit the corner I flick it to 3rd and accelerate through, now you can maintain a very good line out for loop doing this and still come out with a .3/.4 (I still will say .3 until it's done, if I hit one I'll upload the replay, no matter the lap, but I've had several .4 sector 1's).

The loop is similar you want to be balancing on the throttle before you even hit the apex because you can then accelerate out and fight the grip. There should be no countersteering involved at any point, the throttle balancing and regaining grip should be done through the throttle.

The thing with the exit of the loop is it is alot of confidence issues, even when I've been ahead of Ti-tech I then feel more nervous to nail it out and sometimes means I hold off to long. Sometimes even a 95% throttle will be better than 100 if you get more confidence, and you can always build it up to the 100 number :)!

I'll be having quick goes and I still may have a decent session on Sunday, but mid week I only get really if I get on 30 mins - an hour. Except today as it's rest day from the gym :D 👍!! Weekend I usually get a bit more time but it's my mums birthday and my old housemates birthday so not sure, I'll still try go a bit quicker but I'm not to worried now as I got what I was after with the 16 👍!

Hehe ye it will be tough, best thing you can do is just maximize time, try to just learn 1 sector or even a couple of corners a tiny bit more, just watch the top guys and then only focus on them, try go for consistency to as that's what I've been doing lately, less aggressive more consistency and it's helping. So frustrated right now, had been quite a successful evening so far, no improvement on overall time, but made some decent gains throughout the lap. Then, while on what felt like an amazing lap, .6 up on my ghost, coming into Club my PS3 decided it was gonna bleep and switch off! Now all I got is a flashing red light above the power button and it won't do anything!
 
Not bragging but i broke my wrist and arm april 15th this year, had surgery and this came out! Cant really do manual trans but my best time with auto and everything off cept abs 1 is a 2.21.9xx. I know i can get faster tho!

Little improvement again, to 2'17.676.

Starting to really get the hang of T1 and getting frequent 37.7xx's now instead of the odd one or two. I find Ti-Tech's ghost really helps as he is very fast through T1 but isn't as spectacular through T2 so it helps keep his ghost in sight and doesn't obstruct you too much through the fast turns. I have been 0.7xx behind him at T2 so I think I should be able to end up with a 17.5xx.

I wonder how many Brits are going to come out of the woodwork?

They both competed in the 2011 GT Academy, although as Australia wasn't involved I don't think Dan was all to bothered, who knows though? He used the name PotassiumK in 2011.

I remember the glory days of the GT4 WRS when Holl01 (Dan Holland) and Hot6o4bOi (Curtis Feng) would battle neck and neck....they even finished a lap with a difference of .001 :bowdown: I tried getting Curtis to run in the Academy even though he is Canadian, but I haven't seen him show up yet.

WRS has been around that long? Wow. I didn't even know about grab turismo till prologue, always played need for speed.
 
Here's a question just to see if anyone would be interested...

I'm thinking of livestreaming some attempts this weekend as it's the last weekend, but to add to it you'll get to see wheel cam / foot cam and..... heart monitor :D? I figured it would be quite interesting to see what my heart is doing during the epic runs and the crappy runs, anyone interested in that :)?

O and on that I improved slightly more tonight, should have been a .7 improvement somewhere tonight but still, an improvement is an improvement :D! 1:16.957

I think u r right. Heard also about people asking some ex finalists to drive for them. Luckyli my mate said no. But who knows how many said yes to them.
Thats really bad behavior from some betrayers.
They should train hard, then they can make it. I am training for 3 years now, and I hope it happens this year. If there are on the last day 10 more in front of me, with the same times, I would be really pis... off from tha format.

very sad to see this personally I think more people should get through to the national finals. Then have a formula ford style festival event heats then a grand final, say they took 64 people no one would miss out every one gets a shot to prove themselves in a race environment 💡

I don't see why it should cost much more to do this

Everyone would get a shot... unless you are 65th. There needs to be a cut off somewhere.

It has been around since GT3.

I'm not going to get another wheel until the end of the time trial at least.:ouch:

Talking about GT3, has your GT3 RS wheel broken or something? Are you getting same wheel as replacement or another one?
 
Wow you need a 16.9 now to qualify in spain and I bet that drops to a .8 by the end :crazy:. I still qualify JUST for every country, I don't want to lose that achievement I've had every year! Gives me an urge to improve more now hehe :D!
