I want to tell this to everyone because they keep complaining why their car not coming and why they only have the leaf.so,when I looked at the posts at the top and looked at the website,the schedule is in the site.so everyone that's complaining about their "cars" and why they are not coming,look at the gran turismo website.it show you the answer to your problems

Just saw that apparently, all the cars have dates that they'll be distributed out on and while looking at the dates, it hit me like a train: Basically, we'll get a GT Academy car every wednesday.

Hey guys about this car Nissan 370Z Tuned Car (GT Academy) ’08 i already had this one in my garage is the new one the same as the old just asking.

It looks to be the same, minus the 2012 plate and 2012 side markings. Specs are unknown for this 2012 version, but they could be the same, we'll find out soon enough.

No I believe they are the same car, maybe different door stickers but they are both 370Z academy 2008 cars.
The one below is my level 12 ticket version painted in the new 2012 academy blue.

So that explains why it was in my garage. In red color. I couldn't understand why it was there, because I golded all events a few days after round 8 had ended.

The SILVIA Nür was also in my garage along with a couple of other cars I thought was from the competition. They all had (GT Academy) in the name. So these are all from earlier then?

Will I still receive the cars even if I golded after it had ended? Or did I have to be registered during the events to get them?

If you gold everything in gt academy,even when you register,you would have the cars in the schedule that was posted by bfc_1882

Correct, Now i suggest you go and paint it in the blue chip that came with your academy Leaf car, It looks the dogs danglies then.
Yes its the same car from an earlier academy it has front and rear downforce and different door stickers but im assuming the tuned version we are to receive from 8.5 will be identical aprt from paint and stickers.

Darn... I forgot about the dead line and have events I didn't do. If I gold them now, it says "unable to register times".

Are there really any new cars among those 2012 Academy cars? It seems to me that us who won't receive them can just take an earlier version or buy a standard version from the Dealership and then tune them to be exactly like the prize cars. Is this correct?

Race tuned can't be reproduced any other way.
The GT-R black is limited to.
22 aero on rear wing instead of normal 35 or 55 or 60 for race tuned...
5 aero on front instead of 15-35 aero on front race tuned
Weight reduction for GT-R black is stuck at >1400KG when race car is >1200KG.

Normaly You will not be able to "make" the Raced tuned manualy.
Due to GTauto and parts shop not supplying the required parts.
This race tuned GT-R black....

is a road car but it will have some of the Race car stats due to being race tuned...

I guess that's what rankles for many here; we already know PD have the cars modeled and complete, because we just used them to run these events! So what's the hangup with distributing them?

I'm not worried or bothered about it, really; it just feels like PD have some of the worst e-mail servers/software around when it comes to this kind of thing. It should be child's play - the servers know what time you ran, what your position was relative to everyone else in the world, but it can't send a simple e-mail attachment? That's basically all the prize cars are, really.

As with just about everything else PD have ever promised, we'll get it when we get it.

Well... even though I don't really care about the cars, this is the most idiotic thing I've seen PD do so far.

To be fair, though, that schedule wasn't on the site until today. Yup, PD was even late telling us they'd be late...
