GT Academy prize cars

Can we delete GT Academy Data from Harddrive and have our prizes....??

If the sending operation has already started with your PSN ID, then I think it's safe to delete GTAcademy data. If not wait for 1-2 days at most.

Well... even though I don't really care about the cars, this is the most idiotic thing I've seen PD do so far.
It's in times like this that I am just very happy there are other developers who make games I like.

Off topic, but it is impossible to complete the game unless you can use the OCD as the FGT does not appear in the UCD. That would have to be more idiotic.

Back on topic. Why can't these 'Special' cars become the RM of the existing cars? Then if you have the DLC, you can buy them any time you want.

As for the delivery times, I don't care that PD will make me wait. They didn't need to give me any car but decided that they would. I will hardly drive them anyway.

Or it could mean that there's not going to be anything new from them until after August 29; When the last GTAcademy piece is sent off. I'm thinking that they need to re-create all of the cars for GT5 use. Perhaps that's the reason for delays...

Because they aren't RM Editions. If GT would have a livery editor nobody would care about those cars.

The FGT does appear in the UCD, but it appears rarely. The game came out with no OCD, and the only way to get the FGT was to wait for the UCD to click over or refresh it. I know because I had saved my 4.9m and was waiting and waiting and waiting for it to appear when the OCD made the task easier. Unless they've removed the FGT from the UCD, it still has its rare appearance.

I'll check the cycle just to be sure... Yep, it is still listed as a rare ("5") car in GT5Cars: Used Dealership Search.

Here's my theory on the trickling release of GT Academy '12 cars:

1) PD/Nissan/Sony are under contract and have agreed to keep people interested in GT academy until the airing of said TV show by slowly gifting out cars and finally the suit on Aug 29th. Corporate/legalistic Marketing 101--it doesn't make it logical, it makes it corporate.

2)Cynicism is part of the mission statement and CEO's intent so get back to racing, slaves.

Well that sucks! I'm having trouble finding ANY logic in this delay. I was expecting that all 8 cars + gear would be delivered at the same time.

Are there really any new cars among those 2012 Academy cars? It seems to me that us who won't receive them can just take an earlier version or buy a standard version from the Dealership and then tune them to be exactly like the prize cars. Is this correct?

Race tuned can't be reproduced any other way.
The GT-R black is limited to.
22 aero on rear wing instead of normal 35 or 55 or 60 for race tuned...
5 aero on front instead of 15-35 aero on front race tuned
Weight reduction for GT-R black is stuck at >1400KG when race car is >1200KG.

Normaly You will not be able to "make" the Raced tuned manualy.
Due to GTauto and parts shop not supplying the required parts.
This race tuned GT-R black....

is a road car but it will have some of the Race car stats due to being race tuned...

Because they aren't RM Editions. If GT would have a livery editor nobody would care about those cars.

I know that they are not RM cars, but why can't they become the car you get when you RM the Non Academy version? Connect the 2 versions in that way. There is no Race car available for the Nissan Leaf. So I was just suggesting the link be made.

I don't think the cars need to be released in this way. But Kaz and PD work in mysterious ways. At least we get all the cars and not just the Race Suit.
