Hey guys-

I've been giving some thought to the driver points system, and I'd like to give out points for the top 5 spots on a track, not just the top 3. The current system is ranked 1st = 3 points, ranked 2nd = 2 points, ranked 3rd = 1 point. I'd like to change it to:
  • 1st = 6 points
  • 2nd = 4 points
  • 3rd = 3 points
  • 4th = 2 points
  • 5th = 1 point
The ratio of 1st to 2nd is the same, but 3rd has a little more weight than it used to. This shouldn't alter the current driver standings much. There are a lot of good drivers with quite a few entries that have very few points, or no points at all, and I'd like to give out a little recognition there. What do you guys think?

i know i might need to prove this so i will as soon as i get the pics

13629 points on Trial Mountain--->HKS Silvia :)

cheers!
Hi Venom! Welcome to the thread, and thanks for posting your score. No need to prove your performance, unless of course you'd just prefer to. ;) I'll add your score to the rankings later this evening.

EDIT: Scores and standings updated. :)

Tires: Usually using N3/N2 (Front/Rear) but sometimes switching rear tires into N1's

Ride Height: F/R -20/-20

Camper Angle: F/R 0.0/0.0

I believe that FR's, MR's and RR's are all overall more suitable for drifting than 4WD's. It's easier to hold a long drift on those and it's also a bit easier to enter a corner with a proper angle. On the other hand, on 4WD's no matter how steep the angle of your car is while drifting you can always straighten it without having the fear of spinning, though that doesn't help at all when trying to get a proper high score x) . Since it's easy to straighten the car in corners it's of course the same when egressing the corner.
At least that's how I think :P.

I currently don't have any new scores since I've been driving other cars and I've made a commitment with Skylines, meaning that I'll post scores only when it's made by one of those (perhaps changing the car into an RX-7 someday) :) .

Hey guys!

I updated everything early this morning but completely forgot to post and let you know. Doh.

So anyway, scores and standings have been updated. I have also implemented the new point system as detailed a few posts up. Points are now given out for the top 5 positions on each track instead of just the top 3. :)

Hey guys!

Yep, I'm still here. Sorry I've been away from the forum for so long. Between travel and some big deadlines at work I haven't had much spare time lately.... but I'm back!

Scores and standings updated. :)

hello there Taffey. i noticed a slight mistake on the updated leaderboards. for Motorland, you have wrote down a different car than what i actually used. the score is the same but the car is different from my post.
here is my original post.
"motorland: toyota supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88: 11261"

its not really a big deal so i would not worry about it much.
thank you for this excellent thread. 👍
have a great day :sly:
