His biggest hurdle to that is he can only be in one place at a time.Surely it's not too much longer before Chaz becomes a full fledged BMW factory driver.

Don't sleep on these two.
Why am I smiling right now? Next year feels like it's going to be one of the best racing in history. So much going on.Abbie Eaton is chasing a B12hr drive.
Wonder if Walkinshaw are planning on an entry with the 911? Put her in that.
Love that livery.

Only 4 cars in the GT4 class?
Seven GT4 entries is about on par with last year & I find that very disappointing. I was hoping for at least 10-12 cars & it worries me that GT4 is struggling to get ground here. There's 7, the KTM's are the GT4 version. Still a tad underwhelming, but the GT3 field makes up for it. It's sad to see the Daytona Sportscars team absent though, loved seeing the Cobra on the mountain.
Being in GT4 instead of GT3 & trying to read between the lines, I suspect they aren't as 'well off', look at the cost of travel & have to decide it's too much out of their budget for the year. I think they need subsidised travel or a deal that allows them to hitch a ride with some of the bigger GT3 teams.GT4 European Series entrants have to come over. That's the only way I see numbers rising
Probably like the International Endurance Series. Those GT4 teams that make it for the Dubai 24H, Spa, Barcelona, etc. Maybe they could make it for the 12H.Being in GT4 instead of GT3 & trying to read between the lines, I suspect they aren't as 'well off', look at the cost of travel & have to decide it's too much out of their budget for the year. That's the thing though. Dubai, Barcelona & Spa aren't even halfway here.Probably like the International Endurance Series. Those GT4 teams that make it for the Dubai 24H, Spa, Barcelona, etc. Maybe they could make it for the 12H.
I'd also think if TCR are invited for 2020, that would help to fill garage space.

I’d imagine it has something to do with TCR Australia and issues surrounding competitors using TCR cars outside of their series, or perhaps the timeframe to work out a deal was too short considering TCR Australia is a brand new series, literally months old.Don't understand why they couldn't do that this year. Even if they were only a support category for the 12hr. Would have been a good way to get exposure and interest for TCR down here.
All of the above in addition to time to prep the cars for a 12hr race.I’d imagine it has something to do with TCR Australia and issues surrounding competitors using TCR cars outside of their series, or perhaps the timeframe to work out a deal was too short considering TCR Australia is a brand new series, literally months old.
I'm hoping both categories can grow enough to remain on the grid. That's the thing though. Dubai, Barcelona & Spa aren't even halfway here.
I'll swap you TCR: In
MARC & Invitationals: Out
TCR run in the endurance races I mentioned. About 5 or 6 major 24H races. They're built for endurance and low maintenance like a GT4 car.All of the above in addition to time to prep the cars for a 12hr race.
I don’t know but I expect the longest race anywhere for a TCR class of car isn’t even 1 hour long.
I remember in the Group A days & even early on in the Supercars era, the engines they used in the endurance races weren’t as knife edge as what we saw in the sprint rounds. Boost levels & fuel economy the prime concerns.
I was thinking the same thing while catching up on this year’s Super GT season earlier in the week. Even better if the JAF GT300 Cars could compete (even if it were in the invitational class). You know, with that KCMG team coming, surprised more Japanese teams haven't joined over this new era of the B12H.
Oh ok then. I stand corrected.I'm hoping both categories can grow enough to remain on the grid.

I believe TCR did get an invite for the 2017 B12H, but no takers. As mentioned above, there will need to be an agreement for TCR to run a class outside of the TCR Australia series.
