GT Sport 1.12 Update Now Available

Hard to tell from a replay but it looked to me like you experienced some understeer in a few corners, early and late in the lap. Was that from coming in too hard or is that a change in character for this car?
Yeah there is a bit less rotation under speed, at a snails pace it still wants to turn like it used to though. On Nurb GP on some of the tight turns, the Huracan is still tough to drive.

You can also do this with short sections of posts. Highlight a part of a post and you'll see "+Quote" and "Reply" buttons appear. The same thing applies, but now it will only use the part of the post you have highlighted.
Wow. Thanks for this tip @Famine . Was just reading a reply you made to another member and saw this within. I never knew of this and tried it for this reply. Very cool. Cheers.

Native Fanatec CSL Elite support in new patch

Am I missing something? I don't see CLS Elite support mentioned anywhere?

For some reason people were also saying CSL Elite was no longer working in compatibility mode, which also isn't true. Still works totally fine in compatibility mode.

I was just going to comment on this. Same with the 458

Re; 458/Huracan discussion...

I hadn't driven the 458 or Huracan GT3 much before the update... I'd raced at Suzuka a bit in the 458, but only done a few hotlaps in the Huracan.

Did a couple of hours testing various GRP3 cars at Suzuka short Friday night - not exhaustive (less than 10 laps per car) but it is a track I'm very comfortable on). For me, the Huracan was the slowest car I tested. The 458 was a bit faster, but still a good way off the RSR, which is top for me at Suzuka short by a couple of tenths, primarily because it's the best handling of the cars I tested.

Might be different on a longer track, or one with less long, constant radius turns, there they could be faster.

The 458 feels to have plenty of front end grip, but is more unstable on the throttle than the RSR, particularly over kerbs... and Suzuka has low kerbs... I would expect it to be worse on tracks with more prominent kerbs. The Huracan doesn't have anywhere near as good a front end.

Best of the rest were Viper/Merc/M6... but none of them feel as nice to drive as the RSR.

I actually do use the car a lot and agree with zzz_pt. It’s definitely easier to drive than before but will still be very difficult for a new or average driver.

I compared it to my time trial records with my others go to car the AMG. Before I was able to get close to the AMG with the 458, but never beat it. Now I’m consistently faster.

I also ran it on Maggiore which caused me the most problems with the 458 because of the Hairpin. It still shows the same tendencies just not as unpredictable. It’s the only car I can now get lap times in the 1:56’s consistently

If you ask me the changes are good. Obviously if you liked it before you’ll probably be disappointed.

Can anyone explain to me how can you put one tire in the dirt on a AWD car and the car spin out

OK, so have you tried driving a AWD car at 140mph and sticking a wheel on to grass in real life?

Yes, we used to do this on the main straight at Eastern Creek with Subaru Australia's cars to show what AWD can do.. It was a USP for Subaru.

In response to the question as to why cars spin on touching the grass, I think the game is a bit too sensitive to a car going on the grass when slightly out of line. If the car is sliding already and you hit the grass then you are going for trouble. but dropping a wheel doesnt always mean you're headed for the fence..

To be fair, and comparing to rfactor2, the behavior of a car when touching or going over grass in GTS is way to unforgiving and underivable. IRL you can turn a car in the grass and come back to the track at relatively high speeds. In GTS, not so much. You'll be lucky to come back to the track without spinning, stopping completely or hitting a wall.

Better stay off grass really, as it's more like ice.

The clutch in gt-s is still a placeholder for something serious :) Try and press clutch while driving = what the hell :D
What exactly do you mean? On the cars with a regular gearbox (let's take the Supra for example) it works good enough on my Logitech G25 - When I press the clutch while on throttle, the car will rev up without accelerating and when I press the clutch without throttle, the car will idle. Just like it's supposed to.

It's how the clutch as it is right now is an on/off switch. If you don't depress the clutch enough you'll mis shift.

I don't know if anyone else experiences this as well but when I take a low powered car (Miata) and do a standing start with no TCS, I always mis shift. Doesn't matter whether or not the clutch is depressed, or how long you shift, it always mis shifts. This happens if you try to shift below 50 km/h iirc, so there's that as well

I hope to god they fix the tire grip and braking
also the unlimited sliding on the track
and grip on track after 3 to 4 laps or 30 laps the grip on the track feels the same that sucks

it's a AWD car

If you’re making a corner at full speed on the limit then both outside wheels will be at the limit of grip. You put your rear outside wheel on the grass and it’s not going to grip any more. Your rear inside wheel won’t have enough grip for both rear wheels. So your back goes round.

Awd will help a bit more than rwd because the front wheels will be gripping and will be dragging you forwards off the grass.

But you’ll still likely to spin.

I think this 20 years old engine is at its limits already. Maybe they can tweak little more but they will never reach something serious if they dont start from scratch. But i also think, it is not important for Gran Turismo, the players dont care about realism much.

The grip levels are definitely not the same if tyre wear is turned on.

Do you have a source or any conformation for this?
The clutch has been like this since GT5.

Yes the clutch is the same poor thing like in gt5 or gt6 because its all the same physics engine :D
What source? Any game who support a clutch. :) If you try the clutch in any other racing/sim game then you will understand my sentence.
