That would be the turbo flutter.. the blow off valve makes the famous "tsiuu or tsss" sound, while the flutter (no blow off valve) makes the "stututtutu" sound.
If you pay close attention to the R92CP the flutter is there just not as pronounced/loud as it should be.

You can pretty much forget about the intake sounds....
Yeah but I want both.
Hearing it while accelerating.
Then releasing the throttle and enjoying the sututu.
High hopes, big dreams. I know.

If I can't hear the turbo blow off sound on the S2k at 9k rpm I'm giving up.
I had hopes for R92CP - No.
I had hopes for R34 - No.
Atleast let my ears enjoy the sututu of the S2k or a loud intake sound.
I can hear the turbo blow off fine. Have you changed the audio settings in the main menu for the game? Whack the engine audio right up to 5.

The FIA Manufacturers/Nations Cup is happening right now and you're asking for them to stick to the racing?
How many laps of FIA racing will be done with the Beetle or Mini?

What category can either of these cars be placed in to have decent vintage/historic racing?

This is an FIA supported game that is supposed to primarily about racing cars, yet the LMP1 class is a complete joke and disaster, Gr2 is only half complete, Gr3 is missing some key players (Bentley) as well as being full of fantasy fudgery, Gr4 is the same but worse, there is no actual Touring Car category, other than the 2 F1 cars there are no proper junior formula open wheelers, and the PD created BoP is a joke.

But we got a beetle....rejoice

I’d love to see stats from GT6 to see how many miles the community put on the Beetle and Mini vs an AE86 and S13.

And come on, an update that has a Beetle and a Mino and two Fiat 500s....where’s the balance there? 4 econo-🤬-boxes in one update?? Talk about out of touch with the community.

Just because you don’t like these cars doesn’t mean others don’t, I’m personally excited by this pack and so are others.

Knockhill in Scotland is a real world circuit that has a legal reverse direction.
FIA circuits will never have a reverse layout in real life, but there are some lesser known non FIA tracks out there that will.

Slovakia Ring holds couple FiA sanctioned races throughout the year and has 6 layouts in both directions, well, for the race purpposes is only the full non-reverse used.

I didn’t say you weren’t allowed to like the cars. You can like whatever you want.

My point is that these cars have nothing to do with the general theme of the game, something that still has massive holes in it.

Furthermore, these cars are a gimmick enjoyed by a vocal minority who happen to be active on forums. Go into real lobbies, and see how many people will actually be racing the beetle aside from doing a 1-make beetle race as a joke to lighten the mood. That’s why I said “show us some stats for how many miles got put on the beetle vs AE86 in GT6 online lobbies.”

As others have said, this is GT Sport, not GT nostalgic people’s car collector.

Full, complete, accurate FIA catagories should be priority number one (for people who bought GT Sport as a sport game, and weren’t just part of the crowd who picked up whatever the latest GT happened to be as a legacy purchase).

FFS, how difficult would it be for PD to run a pole to see which cars people would like added? I guarantee you that a Beetle or the Amuse Park Bench would not be top of that list.

Ford Mark IV Race Car ’67 - 20mils
Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupé ‘64 - 4.5mils
Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo - 250k
Abarth 500 ‘09 - 29.500
Abarth 1500 Biposto Bertone B.A.T 1 ‘52 - 3.5mils
Volkswagen 1200 ‘66 - 60.000
Mini-Cooper ‘S’ ‘65 - 18.300 ('98)
Lancia DELTA HF Integrale Evoluzione ‘91 - 54.500

Those were prices in GT6, only difference is there wasn't Cooper S from 65, it was 1.3i from '98.

If you are looking for PD to BOP the Ford GT midseason, I'm not liking your chances right now.

Being abit of a broken record much? Willing to bet you are about as well received being on repeat as Rebecca Black's "Friday".

The Daytona Coupe was 4,500,000 in GT6 so its likely to be that for GTS.
I've got 7 million or so in the bank right now. I can at least afford the Daytona. I'll probably pick that one up first along with the Amuse S2000 (please don't be Group X) and everything else except the BAT and Mark IV.

I'm thinking Gr. X. Aren't the Subaru's in Gr. X?

Both Streets of Willow and Horse Theif Mile are run in both directions in real life, so it makes sense to have it in the game.

D1GP hasn’t run Fuji in reverse since this monster crash back in 2009

D1 and FD comps at Fuji are now done in the forward direction.

D1 also used to do the esses at Suzuka in reverse, but they’ve ditched that course in favour of the T1 200km/h handbrake show.

Tsukuba ran a couple FD events using Dunlop corner and what is essentially the 2nd hairpin, in reverse. That layout hasn’t been used for a couple years now, with most comps going back to running the standard Tsukuba drift course.

I’ve never seen any official series run RBR in reverse. Maybe they run some of the configurations in reverse for track days, but for actual racing, the circuit would never pass safety standards in reverse. The biggest issues would be the entrance into the pit lane, which is basically a cutting knife aimed at the braking zone of the fastest straight on the circuit; and the final corner (forward T1) has almost no runoff for coming at full speed down that hill.

I think it’s a typo....but it’s PD, so who knows. True authenticity isn’t really PD’s bag, so they’ll probably just make some stuff up as they go.

Okay then. Didn't know that the Streets and the Horse Thief Mile are actually run in reverse for real. Not sure about Red Bull Ring but it seems odd that they'd give us reverse variations of it. At least with fantasy circuits I don't have to question it.

Are there any real life ovals run in both directions? Cause Blue Moon Bay and BB Raceway can be run both ways.

I'm thinking Gr. X. Aren't the Subaru's in Gr. X?
Yeah, they are.

At launch - Where are all the cars?

Now - Why are you adding these cars?

Blame the mixed messaging. Remember this?

Up until release — and very slightly after — there was a lot of talk about Sport being the beginning of a new era for GT. For whatever reason (though a few theories lead the way), Polyphony toned that down, and has very much leaned into what the games were about. It doesn't even sound like the next game will be GT Sport 2, after all.

Some folks are undoubtedly happy to see the widened scope become a part of the franchise again. I know I am, though that's tempered by the fact almost all of these are GT6 re-releases, and the lack of genuine modifying means the David-and-Goliath appeal of making a mundane car your own personal track terror isn't there. It's still fun to lap stock cars, but that's not quite the same, at least for me. It gives me hope for the next game, though!

But others have really bought into the competition side, and from that angle, there's not much in this pack. I can certainly understand why someone that's now hooked on the Sport portion of the game would find little to be excited about with this content update, outside of a (welcome) additional track.

It would be great to see enhanced Fanatec support (i.e. Rev lights, rumble motors).

Cheers,
Rinki

Rumble motors work on the pedals if you turn abs from auto to a number like 100 within a profile on the wheel settings.

That’s a fantastic addition to the game, especially looking forward to the S2K. I wasn’t expecting to race much and didn’t have anything planned so I offered to go back to work a week early as holiday cover, then we get Gr.3 race C at Suzuka and a sweet new update and I’m away from my PS4 until September 18th :(

These cars are used in a lot of lobbies I’ve been in, there are trackdays, cruises, car shows and races with these types of cars. GTSport isn’t just about Sport mode, GT has always been about classic cars, race cars, road cars and so on, these cars are an important part of GT and I for one am delighted with this mixed pack of cars.

I see Gran Turismo Sport slowly evolving to another Gran Turismo Car Collection ... Why on earth do they waste time on all those **** cars (Beetle, 500, Mini and so on) in a racing game?

The classic race cars are fine, but stick with the racing theme at least.

Probably because GT history is unconditionally synonymous with remarkable cars. I understand you're trying to suggest that GT Sport is different to classic GT, but all this DLC should perhaps be seen as early access to back-catalogue content getting finished for GT7. It makes perfect sense since it's free and GT Sport needs almost all the content it can take.
