Fellas,, I'm sharing this AMAZING video link for a couple reasons, one to make your heart skip a beat, or two or perhaps three. Secondly to bolster our channel's activity. This is aa documentary about the early days of base jumping. In case the link doesn't work for you search YouTube for "Sunshine Superman" and we'll talk about it this Saturday. I was mesmerized!!

John, thanks for the BASE jumping video. Reminded me of the Wingsuit flying supermen, specifically Espen Fadnes of Norway. Check out this insane video The Perfect Flight, and be sure to watch to the end. Enjoy!!

WOW, WOW, WOW!! I cannot say anything other than WOW and Thank YOU Eric for sharing that absolutely incredible video. Perhaps it was the combination of stunning music and mind blowing video ography (one word??) but I found my eyes welling up as we heard Espin talk about how out of control he was and closely missed the gondola. I must watch more and more of Jokke, Ludo and Espin's fly videos. WOW! Ohh, and those beautiful scenes of the village and landscape of the Tianmen mountains in ancient China took my breath away.
Add to the first. This one is only 3 minutes and the landscape is not as breathtaking but the rush to our visual senses is as intense.

Many of those views were from the Grand Canyon. No easy pick up, probably had to hike out.

A while ago, I mentioned that more modern uninterruptible power supplies have a feature that is necessary for modern consoles and computers. These new consoles need a pure sine-wave, but cheaper UPSes can only supply a more choppy simulated sine-wave or worse. Some electronics, such as the PS4 and up (maybe the PS3, too, I am not certain), are sensitive to simulated sine waves and will behave abnormally.

If you get a UPS that delivers a true sine-wave, it will handle all of the equipment necessary to keep GT on-line for quite a while and then some. The last time that I checked, I remember mine estimated 176 minutes with the monitor on a separate UPS in a different location.

If you have any questions about UPSes, I will try to answer them.

It's 0230 I'm going in to take a nap. Will see you fellas there.

This video came up in my YouTube feed so often that I eventually had to take a look because of the freezeframe. It is the announcement from the Swedish band Kent that they were ending the band. Thought it was a cool way for a band to do that rather than end in acrimony.

This video of drag races between the Croatian Rimac Nevera and the Tesla Model S Plaid was inevitable. The Tesla gets smoked, but still damn quick considering it is down 900 hp, and also costs $150k vs. $2.4m.

Incredible!! Absolutely incredible power.

All good but 11:00 minutes in, watch its burnout and the way it squats and lifts. Suspension nerdery. Again at 14 minutes

Suspension geometry has and likely will always be the most complicated part of any race car but especially for a straight line hotrod. Grabbing traction on the many, many varied surfaces these cars MUST figure out IS the key to a quick/fast pass. 11,000 horsepower is great BUT if they cannot find the edge of traction vs rattling the biggies, watching them go up in smoke OR configure the suspension at both ends to HOLD them tight to the surface and keep them from spinning,, THAT is where the smart guys get the big bucks.
